Chapter 710 - 35: An Lunch With Darren

Surprised, Angelo looked at Darren.

"Since we meet here, how about I treat you to lunch? Daisy will blame me for not treating her friend well. You know her temper. Right?" Darren explained in a low voice.

He talked like negotiating, but his tone was insistent. Angelo could only nod and followed behind him. Then a man took over her luggage.

Soon, they arrived at a restaurant nearby. It was the best one in Boom, and the owner was Darren.

"I heard you are close to Darren. What has she been doing recently?"

Darren opened a bottle of wine as he spoke and poured a glass for Angelo, who was really flattered.

The atmosphere got much better, and they seemed to be closer.

Angelo focused on the steak and said casually, "I just come back from France. I don't know much about her. But her birthday is the day after tomorrow. She told me she was busy with her birthday party."

Hearing that, Darren stopped his move and then gave a sunny smile.

"I didn't know the birthday thing. I guess I am a bad friend."

Angelo put down her fork and knife, giving a complex expression.

Did Daisy want to surprise Darren by not telling him? If so, she just ruined her plan.

"Well, who do you think she will invite?"

With the smile, Darren picked up his wine with inquisitive in his eyes.

"Sorry, I should go back. My family will worry about me."

Angelo wiped her mouth on a napkin and then stood up. Having dealt with so many people in her previous life, she could tell that Darren wanted to know something from her.

She didn't want to ruin Daisy's plan. If she kept staying here, Darren might get more things from her.

She didn't think she could hide anything from this sophisticated man, so she had better leave now.

"May I have the honor to send you back? Your house is far away. I'm afraid no driver would want to go to such a remote place."

Darren kept her luggage and gave her no chance to say no.

After some time, the car arrived at Thorne's house. Hale was already waiting outside. Angelo got off the car at once.

"You're finally back, Mr. Angelo. I called you, but you didn't answer."

Hale came to Angelo, who then took out the phone and found dozens of missed calls.

"Sorry. I put my phone on silent."

Angelo touched her nose with an apology look. She put her phone on silent when she had lunch with Darren.

"Is this Mr. Adams?"

Hale saw Darren, who came off the car after Angelo and asked with doubt.

He knew Darren, but the Thorne family had no connection with the Adams family, so he didn't understand why Darren sent Angelo back.

"Yeah. We met by chance, and I dropped him off," Darren said intimately, looking at Angelo with a warm smile.

"I hope you can visit me often, Angelo," Darren said, getting in the car.

Soon, the car disappeared.

Hale took the trunk from Angelo. He was more confused. The Adams lived in the opposite direction from the Thorne. Why did Darren take the trouble to send Angelo back?

Once Angelo entered the living room, she threw herself on the sofa, looking relaxed.

As soon as she sat down, Angelo's phone rang again. Seeing that it was Daisy, she quickly answered the phone.

"Angelo, you must come to my birthday party the day after tomorrow." Daisy's voice, just like her name, was so attractive and made people intoxicated.

"Okay, my dear. I will definitely come." Angelo answered with alacrity. She had already regarded Daisy as her best friend.

"Incidentally, I'm going to bear my heart to Darren at my birthday party. What do you think?" Holding her pillow, Daisy was so shy, and her face was burning.

"Wow, that's great. Then you can celebrate your birthday and your anniversary together."

Today, Darren invited her to lunch, thus she was sure that Darren was falling in love with Daisy from his behaviors.

But, she had told Darren about Daisy's birthday party, so she didn't know if this would affect Daisy's plan.

On second thoughts, she decided to tell Daisy this thing.

"Daisy, I had lunch with Darren today, and I told him…"

Before she finished speaking, Daisy interrupted her and said, "What? You had lunch with Darren? Did he mention me?"

"Yes, he was inquiring about you, so I…"

Angelo was interrupted again.

"He was inquiring about me? Then he must love me, mustn't he?"

Daisy was so excited, so Angelo just nodded her head and was about to continue her speaking. To her surprise, Daisy hung up the phone.

"So crazy!" Hearing the phone beeping, Angelo muttered to herself.

Then, she stood up, stretched her arms out, and went upstairs to her room.

After getting washed, Angelo recalled the scene that she touched the abdominal muscles, which made her face get red.

"That feels great," Angelo said to herself. Although she regretted it very much, she still felt so happy because people didn't have much opportunity to see such a perfect body, not to mention to touch it.

Angelo couldn't help smiling. Just at this moment, her phone rang again. It was Daisy again.

"Anything else?"

"I didn't mean to hang up just now. Darren called me suddenly, so…" Daisy's face was burning again. Of course, Angelo knew it since Daisy had done such things more than once or twice.

"What did he say?"

Angelo was lying on her bed and held her pillow in her arms.

"He asked me if I wanted to invite him to my birthday party. Angelo, will he say he loves me?"

Listening to Daisy's shy voice, Angelo couldn't help but think that this is exactly what a girl fall in love looks like.

But to be honest, she agreed with Daisy's words, thus she told Daisy that this was totally possible.

"I think so. By the way, Darren said he would pick you up for the party, so I gave him your phone number."
