Chapter 721 - 46: To Embarrassed An Enemy

Angelo remembered that she started to act then, but Clarence was already a famous director. He made many artists famous as well, once they performed for every movie he had offered.

She was auditioning for a trashy play at the behest of her agent when Clarence walked by and chose her as the lead actress of his film, and she became famous after that.

Clarence discovered her and invited her to act in many of his films. During the work, she fell in love with Clarence. But she was too shy to tell him and afraid that she'll get rejected by him.

She had never expected to meet him again. Her heart was pounding, and her face was bashful. She couldn't believe that Clarence would appear right in front of her after she was reborn.

Then, the host introduced the second guest. When Angelo heard Ivy's name, she froze for a moment, and then her eyes were full of anger.

She remembered the scene of her being killed and clenched her fists. People around her felt the change of her mood and got away from her.

Ivy loved showing off, and Angelo believed that she would ask for a show. She thought for a while, then decided to pursue an act of light revenge this time.

She smiled and walked to the spare runway. Through the gap, she saw Ivy in full dress and delicate makeup.

"Let me surprise you," she muttered.

"Great news! Under your strong demand, Ivy agreed to give you a show. Ladies and gentlemen, let's have Ivy Watts!"

Just as Angelo thought, the host announced the news after the introduction.

Angelo sneered. Ivy didn't change at all. She remains evil behind a pretentious image she showed to the public.

As the room darkened, Angelo knew it was time. She stepped onto the runway and gave an apologetic look at Daisy.

"Sorry, Daisy."

She knew it would hurt Daisy, but she couldn't stand her enemy showing off in front of her and the man she loved.

With the music sounded, the light was on Ivy. As she started walking, Angelo also got on the spare runway.

While designing the dress, Daisy considered the light and sewed sequins into the understated part of the dress. Angelo knew that. Now there was no light on Angelo, but her dress was shining.

"Someone is on the spare runway."

With the shouts of an audience, more people noticed Angelo. For the high ratings, the show team asked the lighting engineer to shine a light on Angelo.

"Angelo?"

Daisy recognized Angelo. She murmured, with confusion in her eyes.

Ivy was furious. She stared at Angelo in anger. But still, she forced a smile and kept walking.

Seeing that, Angelo gave a big smile. She walked as a real model, trying to show her charm.

Compared with her, Ivy's modeling was really bad. Influenced by her bad mood, she was like a clown on the stage.

People focused on Angelo and forgot Ivy at all. They didn't even notice that she got off the stage in advance.

As Angelo turned around, she saw Ivy sitting on the judging table and felt very happy.

She gave Ivy a defiant look. It was just the first step of her plan.

As she walked back, "Stop," Ivy bitterly said, staring at her.

Angelo stopped, turned around, and gave a sweet smile with tenderness full of her eyes. The audience roared and clapped.

Seeing that, Ivy pinched her nails into her flesh. It was supposed to be her show alone, but Angelo stole it.

Wearing the tender look, she said with a soft smile, "Who is your designer? The game hasn't started yet. Why are you here now?"

Angelo was sick of her face. She knew what Ivy was like. But in other people's eyes, Ivy was a pure and innocent girl.

Now Angelo wanted to see who was better at acting, Ivy or her?

Thinking about that, Angelo gave a look of innocence, and her eyes were filled with confusion.

"This spare runway is for models to practice, isn't it? I don't know why the lighting engineer shot a light on me."

The audience nodded. Everyone knew that the spare runway was for models practicing as usual, and people would not notice them without any light on them.

Ivy didn't know what to say. She looked up at Angelo, somehow, she thought of Angela and got angrier.

She forced a smile, gnashed her teeth, and asked, "Then why didn't you leave when the light was on you?"

"You must be joking, Miss Watts," Angelo said, looking angry, "Are you questioning my professionalism?"

Hearing that, the audience was confused.

The programming division motioned the host to explain it. Thinking it might improve the ratings of the show, the host said, "When the lights are on, the model must finish her modeling without interruption. It's a quality a model must possess."

To some extent, these remarks revealed Ivy's unprofessionalism. The audience booed, which made Ivy even angrier.

However, looking at Angelo on the stage, Daisy felt he was strange. She had never seen him like this.

"You broke the rules of the game, so I declare you disqualified," Ivy hardened her attitude.

Right now, she just wanted to drive Angelo away. People who attended the contest had no powerful support, so she didn't need to worry about anyone.

This might ruin her image, but she had many ways to recover it when she drove Angelo away.

But Angelo would not give her a chance.

"I didn't break any rules. Are you using your right to get even with me, Miss Watts?" Angelo said, looking aggrieved. Tears filled her eyes, and were about to fall, making people want to protect her.

The audience stood on Angelo's side. They protested, demanding the removal of Ivy.

"No, I don't." Ivy pretended to be weak.

But the audience didn't believe her and asked her to go down.

Looking at Ivy, Angelo's mouth curved slightly. She dealt with Ivy as she dealt with her. She wondered if Ivy was happy with her surprise.
