Chapter 723 - 48: She Was Discovered By Her Best Friend

Feeling the warmth and tenderness of the skin, Daisy withdrew her hand back, and her face was full of surprise. She glanced up and down at Angelo, and then she was shocked.

"I'm a woman."

When she decided to help Daisy, she was prepared to be found. From Daisy's expression now, she knew she couldn't hide it anymore and just told her.

"What…"

Daisy pointed at Angelo. She wanted to say something but didn't know what to say. Angelo's frankness made her angry.

She had been struggling with how to reconcile David and Tom. But she didn't expect that Darren refused her, and now she learned that Angelo was not even a man.

"I'm just a fool!"

Daisy shouted, thinking everyone was deceiving her. She picked up the trophy and smashed it on the ground.

The trophy fell into pieces.

Alarmed by her anger, Angelo put the card aside and reached over to pull Daisy.

"I didn't mean to hide it from you, Daisy…"

Before Angelo finished her explanation, the door was pushed open. It was the staff of Dior. She was stunned when she saw the trophy pieces on the ground.

"Get out!" Daisy shouted.

She got more furious as she saw the staff, who was angry at the unreasonable shout but still forced a smile.

After all, Daisy was the champion and would be a designer in Dior. The staff couldn't afford to offend her even though she was just a trainee.

She took out a contract and a pen, then she said gently, "Miss Clark, please show us your ID card, I have to check it. Then you can be the trainee of the Dior after you sign the contract."

She handed the contract and pen to Daisy, never thought that someone would refuse it.

Daisy, however, grabbed the contract, tore it apart, and slammed the pen on the staff.

"Get out now!"

She was a princess at home. If she went to work in Dior, she would be the chief designer. She attended the contest this time just to prove her ability. She wasn't interested in the contract at all.

Now she just thought she was deceived and the staff didn't come at the right time. So Daisy just vented her anger on her.

"You're just a winner of a little contest."

Since the contract was torn, Daisy couldn't go to Dior. So the staff changed her attitude and smiled sarcastically.

"Shut up!"

Angelo slapped the staff across the face. She didn't like snobs most, let alone this woman looked down upon her friend.

The woman covered her face with one hand, staring at Angelo. When she sensed Angelo's oppressive aura, she became timid.

"Get out!"

Angelo said as she postured to hit the staff, who hastily withdrew from the dressing room.

Seeing that, Daisy's anger subsided. And Angelo walked up to hold her.

"Dear, I didn't mean to hide it from you. You know I am just an adopted kid of the Thorne family. If they know I am a girl, I may have to live on the street."

Her eyes were full of sincerity, and Daisy's heart softened at the sight of it. Moreover, her anger was only momentary. When she thought it through, she wasn't angry anymore.

She suddenly thought of Angelo's Adam's apple and noticed that when Angelo spoke, her Adam's apple rolled up and down, which was why she had never doubted her identity.

"You are a girl. Why do you have Adam's apple?" Daisy's eyes were full of curiosity.

Then Angelo took something from her throat. It was Adam's apple.

Daisy was stunned and took it over.

"How did you get it?"

It looked so real. Daisy was shocked.

Angelo shrugged.

"My grandfather gave it to me."

She noticed it when she came back to life. She remembered that it was given by Angelo's grandfather but didn't know how her grandfather got it.

"Who's your grandfather?" Daisy asked, giving it back to Angelo, who slipped it into the pocket of her dress.

"I don't know." Angelo shrugged again.

"Your grandfather must be powerful. But why did he let the Thorne family adopt you?"

This little thing was so delicate that ordinary people couldn't get it. So Daisy was more curious. But when she saw Angelo's blank face, she could only swallow the question.

"By the way, why do you take Ivy's thunder?"

Daisy thought of what happened and asked. She knew Angelo did that on purpose, but she couldn't figure out why she did that.

"Well…"

Angelo didn't know what to say. She couldn't find a reasonable excuse. She couldn't tell Daisy that Ivy was her enemy.

Then, Daisy picked up the card. Thinking of the way Angelo treasuring it, she thought there must be a secret behind the card.

"You love Clarence, and you were jealous just now, right?" She asked with a gossipy look.

Hearing that, Angelo thought of Clarence, and a blush appeared on her face. When she was about to explain, Daisy laughed.

"Your expression has told me the answer. I got your back. Come on, girl!"

With that, Daisy slipped the card into the pocket of the dress.

Angelo didn't say anything. Daisy's words might be the best explanation, and she told the truth.

She had a rush on Clarence when she was Angela. Now, she should still be in love with him.

Angelo thought when Drake's face appeared in her mind. She shook her head and thought there must be something wrong with her brain because of Drake's bully.

When Daisy learned that Angelo was a girl, all her previous doubts about Angelo vanished.

"You have to keep it a secret, Daisy."

Angelo thought of something and warned Daisy, who nodded.

"Don't worry. I will watch my mouth. I won't tell anyone you love Clarence."

"No. Daisy, I mean…"

Before Angelo could finish her words, Daisy laughed and pinched Angelo's face.

Feeling the smooth skin, Daisy thought how stupid she was that she didn't see through Angelo.

But she felt much better when she thought that she was the only one who knew Angelo's secret.

"I know. I'm the first one to know your secret. I promise no one else will know it. Don't worry."
