Chapter 749 - 74: You Decide

"Your phone was broken when they found it. Hale bought you a new one, and he had put your phone card in it," said Drake casually. He turned over the newspaper and didn't even look at Angelo.

"Thanks, Drake."

Angelo smiled and then gave a curious face.

"But… Who is Daisy?"

She didn't forget that she was a girl without any memory now.

When Drake heard that, he looked up and frowned as he thought of how close Daisy and Angelo were.

"A friend of yours," answered Drake casually, but his ear was burning. Somehow, he didn't want to tell Angelo that Daisy was her best friend.

Angelo was surprised when he heard that and guessed that Drake said that because he was worried about her being too close to girls.

"Oh, she asked me out. Should I go?" asked Angelo, pointing at a new message from Daisy and looking at him cautiously.

"You decide."

Drake glanced at the message and seemed unhappy. Then he folded the newspaper and went upstairs.

Since he had told Angelo that Daisy was just a normal friend of his, he might not go for the appointment, thought Drake.

However, looking at the back of Drake, Angelo mistook his words as she could go. So, she texted "Okay" to Daisy.

The following day after breakfast, Angelo asked Hale to drive her to Daisy's house. She was a girl who didn't remember anything now, so she shouldn't know how to go to Daisy.

"Thanks, Hale."

Angelo got out of the car and thanked Hale, and then she saw Daisy waiting in front of the gate. Daisy just ran to Angelo and hugged her.

Seeing that, Hale withdrew and drove back home. As soon as he entered the living room, he saw Drake sitting on the sofa, looking quite unhappy.

Hale forced a smile and respectfully said, "Mr. Drake, breakfast is ready. I'll make them serve right now."

He had worked in this house for so many years and knew everyone well, especially Drake.

Drake was still wearing the cold face, but Hale could sense that he was angry.

"Yeah," replied Drake.

He looked behind Hale and pretended to ask casually, "You sent Angelo out just now?"

He was full of affirmation, though in a questioning tone. Hale nodded briskly.

"Although Mr. Angelo had amnesia, he was close to Miss Clark. They hugged when they met. I don't think you need to worry about him, Mr. Drake," explained Hale, thinking that Drake was worrying about Angelo's safety.

But as soon as he finished his words, Drake's face was colder.

"Clean the car," ordered Drake. Then he left the living room, leaving the puzzled Hale there. The car was cleaned last night.

In Clark's House.

"You are so good, Angelo! You fooled Abby."

Daisy showed the newspaper to Angelo and pointed at the headline on it. There was admiration on her face.

"The reporters exaggerated it."

Looking at the newspaper, Angelo felt a little awkward. She was just drunk and said nonsense then. But in the newspaper, she, as a person of foresight, caught the criminal with Drake.

"I don't like this, Abby. She was so bold that she dared to drug Drake. Oh, she's dead."

With that, Daisy picked up a gr.a.p.e and put it into her mouth.

Angelo nodded and then thought of something.

"More than that, I think she is the one behind my kidnapping."

"Abby?" Daisy couldn't believe her ears.

Angelo nodded again, repeated Drake's words during the dinner, and then exclaimed her analysis.

"According to you, the one behind the kidnapping is her.," said Daisy.

Then she stared at Angelo and gave an exciting look.

"Maybe she knew Drake loved you, so she was jealous and hated you and wanted to kill you both. Right?"

"What are you thinking about? I'm Drake's brother."

That was absurd to Angelo. She knew she shouldn't get down to business with a weird girl like Daisy.

"But you are a girl!" said Daisy in a firm, pointing at a picture in the newspaper.

"Look at Drake's coddling face when he was looking at you."

Angelo looked at the picture and felt helpless.

She wondered how Daisy saw the coddling look from Drake's cold face.

"What did you call me here for, Daisy?"

Angelo put the newspaper aside and looked at Daisy. She didn't think Daisy asked her here for anything.

Daisy relented when she heard the question. She held the pillow and asked seriously, "Do you remember the couple you met in the mountains?"

"Yeah."

Daisy squinted as she thought of her guess about the real leading Watts's. If she were right, it would be much easier for her to get revenge.

"I was curious about the story, so I went to them. But when I arrived there, I only saw an empty house," said Daisy.

Angelo is lost in thought. The couple had lived in that house for a long time, and they shouldn't just disappear. And it was just a few days after her kidnapping, why were they disappeared in such a short time?

The more Angelo thought about it, the more wrong she felt. And she was more certain about her guess of the leading Watts family. But she needed evidence to prove it.

"Well, forget about it. I call you here because I want you to accompany me to school."

Daisy was shy as she spoke. She held the pillow tightly and looked at Angelo with hope.

"You can just go. Why should I go with you? You know I should remember everything now."

Angelo was confused. She pretended to have amnesia and didn't want people to see her through. So she'd better stay at home.

"Amnesia works the best. You are my best friend, so you have to go with me."

With that, Daisy dropped her pillow and held Angelo's hand to act coquettishly.

Looking at Daisy like this, Angelo felt helpless. She withdrew her hand from Daisy and gently poked her nose.

"Say it. What do you want to do?"

Daisy blushed when she heard that. She touched her face and said shyly, "Darren always goes to school for me. I need you to drive him away."

"Darren?"
