Chapter 754 - 79: I Come To Visit Him

Finally, Daisy nodded and reached out to fondle Angelo's head, looking resigned.

"All right. I will tell Darren about it later," promised Daisy.

Angelo smile, "I know you are best to me."

Then she let go of her sleeve, waved to her, and blinked at her with mischief full of her face.

"Have fun with Darren. I'll wait for your good news."

Daisy was even shyer. She glanced at Angelo and covered her face to leave.

When she got out of the ward, "Daisy, is Angelo in this ward?" a gentle voice sounded. Daisy looked up in surprise and saw Doris.

What did Doris want with Angelo? Daisy wondered and looked at Doris up and down with confusion. She didn't think Doris was close to Angelo.

"Yeah. What do you want with him?" asked Daisy, looking at Doris, who blushed and looked away.

"I come to visit him."

Looking at Doris like this, Daisy remembered the gossip that Doris fought with Stella for Angelo. She used to take it as a rumor. Now it seemed to be true.

But then she thought of Angelo as a girl and shook. She looked at Doris with pity.

"Is he badly hurt?"

Doris got anxious when she saw Daisy act like that. When she heard Angelo was hurt, she immediately inquired about the hospital Angelo was in and got here. But she knew nothing about Angelo's condition now. So, when she saw Daisy shake her head, she took it as Angelo was badly hurt and was more eager to see Angelo.

"No, he's fine. You can check it yourself."

Daisy knew it was meaningless to explain to Doris, so she just pointed at Angelo's ward.

"Thank you."

Doris thanked Daisy and trotted to the ward that Daisy pointed.

When Daisy checked the time again, she got worried.

"Dame it. I'm going to be late," said Daisy, striding out of the hospital.

At this point, Doris arrived at the door of Angelo's ward. When she thought of Angelo in it now, she couldn't help getting nervous.

She knocked at the door. Angelo thought it was Daisy coming back and gave a helpless sound.

"What did you come here, Daisy?"

As Doris heard the intimate call from Angelo, she felt bitter. But she suppressed it, thinking that Daisy and Darren were lovers.

"Hey, Angelo, it's me. I come to see you."

Doris walked in as she spoke. When she saw the bandage on Angelo's head, she was sad.

When Angelo found it was Doris, she felt awkward and smiled lamely.

"Take a seat, please," said Angelo. Subconsciously, she wanted to scratch her head and then felt the pain. She frowned.

"Are you all right?"

Doris got more worried when she saw Angelo's painful look. She clenched her fist and swore inside that she would make the people who hurt Angelo pay.

"Yeah. I'm fine." Angelo forced a smile.

Looking at her, Doris felt her heart racing and her face burning.

Angelo was wearing a white shirt; the bandage over her head made her look weak. When she smiled, she looked like a royal prince.

The more Doris looked at Angelo, the more she was obsessed with "him." Seeing Doris like that, Angelo felt that there was something wrong. But she remembered that Doris loved girls, so she didn't think much about her weird look.

Inside the ward, Doris felt that she couldn't even breathe. Cautiously, she looked at Angelo and said, "I'm relieved to see you are all right. I'll leave now."

Although Angelo was surprised at Doris's visit, she was grateful for her. So, she put on a smile and tentatively asked, "There are many fruits here. How about you eat some?"

Doris wanted to stay longer with Angelo, so she nodded and sat back.

Now Angelo regretted her asking. She wasn't close to Doris, and her invitation was just being polite. Since Doris stayed here, Angelo couldn't drive her away. She looked at Doris and could only smile.

Then she saw the apples on the plate and felt thirsty. She picked up the knife and started to peel one apple. Doris saw her move and said, "Thanks. I can do it myself."

Angelo's mouth twitched at Doris's words. She wasn't peeling an apple for Doris. But since Doris said that, she could only say with a smile, "It's my p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e."

After that, she handed the peeled apple to Doris, who blushed and reached out for the apple when the door was pushed open.

"Drake," called Angelo. Her hand shivered, and the apple just dropped and fell on the ground.

"Yeah," replied Drake. Then he walked to the apple, picked it up, and put it on the table.

Doris was a little disappointed. She plucked up to see Angelo, who was focused on Drake and forgot about her.

Angelo knew Drake didn't like the Thorne men were promiscuous in s.e.x relations and thought Drake might misunderstand her move.

Looking at Drake's cold face, she swallowed and thought she'd better make an explanation.

"Miss Taylor wanted to eat fruit just now. I can't let a lady peel an apple. So I peeled one for her."

Drake's face looked worse when he heard Angelo's explanation. He couldn't help frowning and coldly glanced at Doris, who noticed his gaze and trembled.

From Drake's look, Doris knew she couldn't stay here any longer. She stood up and gave Angelo a sweet smile, "I'll see you next time."

"Okay," Angelo smiled back to show her kindness.

Seeing that, Doris felt her face was hotter. She looked at the apple, hesitated but finally took it, and then left the ward.

How long had it been since her last apple?

Looking at Doris's back, Angelo couldn't help thinking and felt helpless.

Drake saw the scene. Somehow, he was upset. He looked away, unhappy.

Just then, someone knocked on the door again. Angelo sighed at her bitter day when she sensed Drake's bad mood.

Why were there so many people visiting him today? Doris alone had made Drake unhappy. If more people came, she might be frozen by Drake's cold aura.
