Chapter 753 - 78: Take It Easy

Angelo waved her hand at once. By then, she noticed the dark circles around Drake's eyes. Something occurred to her, and she felt a flush of warmth.

"Don't worry. Take it easy."

Drake thought Angelo was in a hurry to recall her memories in the Thorne family and didn't doubt her words.

Now that the blood clot was cleared, she should have her memory back now. She showed a gentle smile and said, "Yeah. I remember everything, Drake."

"Good," replied Drake nodding slightly.

Then he thought of how he told Angelo that Daisy was just a friend of "his." His eyes deepened. And he just turned to pick a newspaper near him.

"You should take a good rest, brother. You are too tired. Reading the newspaper now is not good for your eyes," said Angelo with concern.

She thought Drake might be here for her since she was in a coma and was closer to him.

Drake paused his move of folding the newspaper when he heard Angelo.

"It's all right." It was still that cold voice.

But Drake couldn't help smiling.

Since Drake said that, Angelo answered, "Yeah."

She knew she couldn't change Drake's mind and didn't talk more. She didn't want to offend him in the name of concern.

However, the smile disappeared from Drake when he heard that. He folded the newspaper and gave Angelo a stern look, wondering why "he" didn't concern more about him.

Suddenly, he realized what he was thinking about and frowned. In his mind, he knew that it wasn't a good thing to think like that.

He looked at Angelo. This "boy" was his brother; he knew it. So he was upset with himself.

Just then, Angelo felt the change of Drake. She winched and started to review her words and actions but couldn't find anything she did wrong to offend Drake.

Just then, a familiar voice sounded in the door. It broke the weird atmosphere between Angelo and Drake.

"Angelo, are you all right?"

"I'm fine," answered Angelo lazily.

The one who could know her ward and visit her at this time could only be Daisy.

Right, it was her. She quickly walked to Angelo and was sad when she saw Angelo in a bandage.

"Are you all right?"

Daisy reached out for Angelo's head but was grabbed by Drake, who looked quite serious. She was frightened.

"The doctor said her head is not allowed to touch."

After saying that, Drake let go of Daisy's hand. Daisy put her hand into her pocket and nodded to Drake.

Drake's tone made her feel that she would be dead if she touched Angelo's head.

"I see. I won't touch her head."

To ill.u.s.trate her attitude, Daisy made a promise, looking at Drake with sincerity.

The scene amused Angelo. She covered her mouth by hand but couldn't conceal the smile in her eyes. She had never seen Daisy look like this.

Realizing his oppression, Drake said, "I'll go to the company and be back later."

He chose to leave also because he was guilty of lying to Angelo about her relationship with Daisy. But no one could tell anything from his face, and he still bore the serious look.

"Okay,"

Angelo nodded obediently. Drake then left.

Cautiously, Daisy went to the door of the ward and peeked outside. When Drake was out of sight, she breathed a sigh of relief.

"Why are you afraid of Drake, Daisy?"

Angelo joked with a smile on her face. She had never seen Daisy being so stiff in front of others.

"Drake is scary, and you know that!"

Daisy picked up the coffee near her and spouted. As she thought of Drake just now, she shivered.

"You think so?"

For some reason, many people were afraid of Drake, so was Angelo at first. But she then was used to it.

"Yeah. You don't feel that because you are used to it."

As she spoke, Daisy gently touched Angelo's head with a smile. Even if Drake didn't allow her to touch Angelo's head, she had to do it anyway.

"Drake?"

Angelo suddenly called and turned to look at the door with surprise. But in her eyes, there was a hint of mischief.

"I'm sorry, Drake. I shouldn't do that."

Daisy apologized, hurriedly withdrew her hand, and then looked to the door in fear. When she found no one there, she got angry.

"You lied to me, Angelo. How could you do that? I'll punish you."

Daisy started to tickle Angelo.

"That's not fun."

Daisy soon found that it was useless to Angelo and spouted. Then she sat down near Angelo.

She had never met a person who wasn't afraid of tickling. Angelo was indeed a weirdo, she thought. But she didn't know that Angelo just tried not to laugh. When she used to be an actress, she learned to control her expression, including bearing laughs.

When Daisy stopped, Angelo gave her a comforting smile. Daisy just let it go. When she lowered her head to check the time, she got anxious.

"Darren will take me to an amus.e.m.e.nt park later. Since you're all right, I have to go."

As soon as Daisy finished that, she got up to leave when Angelo grabbed her.

"Could you do me a favor, Daisy?"

Hearing that, Daisy stopped, turned, and looked at Angelo with confusion.

"What?"

"Investigate my identity."

Then, Angelo told Daisy the fragments of memories that came into her mind. Daisy couldn't help widening her mouth after hearing that.

"Really?"

"Yeah."

Angelo nodded. It was the experience of this body, and it couldn't be fake. And she felt that it would help her to get revenge.

"Even if it's true. It has been so many years. I might can't help you now," said Daisy with a regret.

Angelo then smiled cunningly.

"I know you can't help, but your Darren can."

Daisy blushed when she heard Darren's name. She looked away and said shyly, "Is that good?"

"Yeah. You are my best friend, Daisy. You can't value your boyfriend more than me. You have to help me."

Angelo grabbed Daisy's sleeve and shook it with hope full of her big eyes.
