Chapter 761 - 86: It’s Safe Here

"All right. You can read the script today, Miss Watts," Clarence said with a smile.

Angelo nodded.

Then, a staff member handed her the script.

"Shall I show you around the shooting site, Mr. Thorne?"

"Yeah," answered Drake coldly.

Angelo looked up as they left, relieved that Drake didn't watch her read the script.

Time passed quickly. Soon, it was half-past four. Then Angelo heard a cold voice, "When are you going to leave?"

"What?"

Angelo raised and was confused. Then she thought of something, lowered to check her wristwatch, and then panicked.

"Excuse me. I have to leave now."

With that, she stuffed the script into her bag and got up to leave when a strong hand pulled her.

"Where are you going? I can drive you there. Since I am about to leave here, you can ride with me,"

Looking at the cold face, Angelo felt annoyed. Drake didn't love girls, did he? But why was the Drake she saw not like that?

But she didn't dare to show her thoughts on her face. Carefully, she got rid of Drake's hand and then smiled, "Thank you, Mr. Drake. But I think I can go back by myself."

"You are Angelo's sister. He'll be angry if I don't send you home. I feel we're close enough to treat each other politely."

Angelo was stunned when she heard that. She didn't know Drake cared about her so much. Besides, she didn't dare to be angry with him.

"Thanks, but I don't think that's necessary."

She gave him a wary look, then walked slowly away from him. Suddenly, Drake pulled her back.

"Mr. Thorne."

There was anger in her tone. But when she saw his cold face, her anger just disappeared. She had to endure his oppressive behavior.

"What are you doing here, Angeline? How about I drive you home?"

Clarence's soft voice sounded at the moment. Angelo's eyes lit up as she heard him, thinking that her savior came.

"All right. Thanks."

She struggled to get rid of Drake and walked to Clarence. Drake's eyes became complicated when seeing it.

"Where are you going?" asked Clarence, who was unaware of Drake's face.

He lowered his head to look at Angelo, smiling.

Angelo blushed when she heard that. Quickly, she searched in her mind for the neighborhood close to the company.

"Green."

"All right."

As soon as Clarence finished his words, he saw Drake coming with a cold face.

"What else would you do, Mr. Thorne?" asked Clarence confusedly.

"Nothing."

After that, Drake gave Angelo a stern look. Angelo shivered and hid behind Clarence.

Drake was more upset when he saw that. Without thinking, he came up and grabbed Angelo's hand.

Seeing that, Clarence was more confused, "What are you doing, Mr. Thorne?"

"Angelo asked me to take good care of his sister. So, excuse me, Mr. Wilson, I have to leave with Angeline first. I can drive her home,"

Angelo wanted to refute but was dragged away by Drake. She didn't want to look bad in front of Clarence, so she could only follow Drake to leave.

Looking at the two, Clarence felt there was something wrong with them but didn't think much.

When Angelo got out of sight of Clarence, she stopped, got rid of Drake, and gently rubbed her wrist.

She was afraid of Drake, but she had a temper. Now, her patience was at its limit.

"What do you want to do, Mr. Thorne?"

Looking at her red wrist, Drake felt a little embarrassed. But when he thought of the scene just now, his anger flared up again.

"It's not easy to take a taxi here. Come on."

After that, Drake kept walking.

Looking at his back, Angelo was so angry that she stomped.

It was a free ride anyway. Besides, she could get the hang of Drake's trace in his car. Why should she refuse his favor?

Thinking about that, she caught up.

Drake's mood got better when he saw Angelo coming, and he even smiled.

Sitting on the passenger seat, Angelo was still resentful. Just then, Drake's face appeared in front of hers.

"Are you going to harass your employee now, Mr. Thorne?"

Drake stayed when he heard that, then his smile widened. He fastened the belt for Angelo and then back to his seat.

"Harass? Are you talking about yourself?"

With that, Drake sped up, and the car rushed out.

Angelo then realized that she thought too much.

She knew what Drake meant and thought of what happened in the Thorne' house that day.

As soon as she thought of the kiss, her heart beat faster, and there was a blush on her face.

Drake noticed her change and knew that Angeline understood his words. He squinted and sped up the car.

The wind blowing in Angelo's ears, she wasn't used to the speed.

"Slow down, brother," she said, subconsciously.

Soon, she realized that she shouldn't say that and covered her mouth at once. Cautiously, she shot a glance at Drake, who looked the same. Then she was relieved.

But she didn't know that Drake had been observing her secretly. When he saw her look, he had some doubts.

Soon, they arrived at the Green neighborhood. Angelo got off and walked to the building, trying to get rid of Drake.

After walking for a while, she turned and noticed that Drake followed behind her. She panicked, stopped, and turned to look at Drake.

She forced herself to look calm, but there was a hint of guilt in her eyes. Then she coughed twice, "I'm home, Mr. Drake. You can leave now."

"I have to ensure your safety. After all, you're Angelo's sister."

From Drake's cold face, Angelo somehow felt that he was a scoundrel. But then she shook her head, putting the idea aside.

She put on a smile and said, "Mr. Thorne, I'm home. It's safe here. You don't need to worry about me." But in her tone, there was anger.

Hearing that, Drake had more doubts about her as he thought of her previous behavior.
