Chapter 783 - 108: Where Is She Now?

Angelo didn't like takeout, "Takeout might not be hygienic."

Daisy gave a bitter face, "I know. But we can't go out now. What can we do?"

With that, she took out her phone and was about to order. Angelo went to the refrigerator. When she opened it, she saw a lot of vegetables and food inside.

"You don't need to order takeout. I can cook for you," she said, taking out some vegetables.

Hearing her, Daisy put her phone down with a hint of suspicion in her eyes.

"Are you sure?" She went to Angelo and questioned.

Angelo smiled. There was confidence full of her big eyes.

"Just wait for the meal."

Then she went to the kitchen with the ingredients.

Daisy followed up. When she saw Angelo masterly cut one potato into slices, she just widened her eyes.

"You cut it as well as my cook."

Looking at the thin slices, she couldn't help sighing. Angelo smiled, "The better is later."

There was pride in her tone. Except for the swelling eyes, no sign could show that she used to be weak.

After expertly slicing, adding oil, and stir-frying, a delicate dish was prepared. The delicious smell spread through the air to Daisy's nose. She looked impatient.

Quickly, she grabbed the spoon and tasted the food with intoxication full of her face.

"You are amazing, Angelo! Even my cook can't do this."

Hearing the praise, Angelo smiled and then gently scratched Daisy's nose with an indulgent look.

Looking at Daisy keep eating, Angelo shook her head and said, "I didn't know you are a foodie before."

"I love these foods. They are so delicious," said Daisy. She lifted the dish and made a cheer to Angelo.

"Come on, Chef Angeline, I'm waiting for you!"

Then she turned to the dining room with the dish.

Looking at the back of Daisy, Angelo smiled, and her sadness seemed to fade. Not long after, she prepared all the dishes.

When she served them on the table, she found the dish Daisy had taken away before was almost empty. Realizing her gaze, Daisy looked embarrassed.

"It's so delicious. I just couldn't stop."

With that, Daisy grabbed Angelo's hand.

Seeing Daisy like this, Angelo felt helpless in her heart, so she just scratched her nose gently.

"All right. Let's eat."

Hearing that, Daisy let go of Angelo's hand. When she took a deep breath, there was satisfaction full on her face. Just as she was about to eat, the doorbell rang.

"Did you invite someone here, Angelo?"

Daisy put down her spoon and asked confusedly.

Angelo shook her head. She had never told anyone her address here.

"You eat first. I'll go to check it."

Angelo took her apron off and went to the door. Through the peephole, she saw the man outside the door and then stayed there.

"Who's that?" asked Daisy casually while eating. But she didn't hear Angelo for a while. She was puzzled when the doorbell rang again.

"What's wrong?"

She wiped her mouth and went to Angelo.

"It's Drake," said Angelo.

Daisy paused. Then she looked at Angelo with confusion full of her eyes.

"Did you tell him the address here?"

Angelo shook her head with a complex look. She didn't know why Drake came here.

The doorbell rang again, but Angelo just stayed there. Daisy gritted her teeth and muttered, "I do this for you, Angelo. Come on, girl!"

"No!"

Angelo knew what Daisy meant and went up to stop her. But it was late, the door was opened.

When Drake saw Angelo in dress, he frowned. Then he smelled the fragrance of the food.

"Angelo," he called.

Angelo stayed when she heard her name but then she gave a normal face. She looked at Drake and smiled, "My brother isn't here, Mr. Thorne."

Drake's face darkened when he heard that. He bypassed Angelo and walked in, but he didn't see Angelo after looking around. Finally, he sat on the sofa.

"Call Angelo out."

He came here based on the last phone call he had with Angelo. And the food proved that Angelo was here. So, he was quite certain.

Hearing the commanding tone, Angelo had a hint of stubbornness in her eyes. She had decided to live as Angeline, so she didn't care about Drake anymore.

"I told you he isn't here."

With that, she sat down at the table and started to eat. But she had been glancing at Drake. Suddenly, Drake stood up and sat down next to her.

"What are you doing, Mr. Thorne?"

There was a note of panic in Angelo's voice as she felt the pressure from Drake. But she held her spoon tightly to try to keep calm.

At this point, Drake gave her a cold look, making her intimidated. She put the spoon down and was a little anxious.

After looking around, Drake frowned. After hesitating for a second, he picked up Angelo's spoon and used it to have a spoon of food.

This scene stunned Daisy. That was Angelo's spoon!

Seeing Drake eat the food elegantly, Angelo swallowed. She was shocked because she knew Drake had cleanliness.

Drake put down the spoon and then realized Angelo's gaze. He knew the reason, so his ear flushed. But still, he looked quite calm.

"Angelo made these. Where is she now?"

Hearing Drake, Daisy thumbed up for Drake. He knew these were made by Angelo just by tasting them, he was awesome, Daisy thought.

Now she wanted to set up two more. Beside her, however, Angelo stayed for a moment and then sneered, "You may be a little arbitrary to say these are from my brother just by tasting one mouth, Mr. Thorne. Well, I made them."

Seeing her expression, Drake hesitated. But he remembered Angelo's food tasted like this. So, he decided to believe in himself.

When Daisy saw Angelo's relaxed look, in heart, she thumbed up for Angelo's acting. So, she agreed with Angelo's words, "I promise these are made by Angeline. She can cook for you if you don't believe it."

She said this with affirm because Angeline was just Angelo.
