Chapter 786 - 111: What A Small World

Daisy felt guilty at Angelo's words. She lowered her head to taste it, thinking that it wasn't that good.

Actually, the soup wasn't made by her. Last night, she told her family cook to prepare it and send it here this morning. But somehow, she didn't want to tell Angelo the truth.

She was happy to hear Angelo's praise. After breakfast, Angelo put on the clothes Daisy had prepared for her.

Looking at Daisy tidying clothes for her, Angelo felt warm in her heart. When Daisy finished, she sighed, "Dear, you can be a great assistant, but you are going to be my agent."

As she said this, she heaved a deep sigh with a look of regret. Daisy looked at her and crossed her arms in front of her c.h.e.s.t, her face flushed with triumph.

"Now you know how great I am, do you?"

"Yeah, you are… not humble at all," joked Angelo.

Daisy went to tickle her, she burst into laughter and pleaded, "Oh, my great Daisy, I know I'm wrong. Please forgive me. You're the best."

Until then, Daisy stopped. They stayed at home for a while and later went to the coffee shop. They arrived on time, but Clarence was already there.

"Good morning, Mr. Wilson."

Angelo greeted Clarence and then looked to the woman next to him. She looked at Daisy and gave a helpless look.

Daisy also noticed the woman. She glanced over her and then looked at Angelo puzzledly.

The woman was about thirty, Daisy didn't think she could be a threat to Angelo, so she didn't understand why Angelo gave that look.

"This is Karol Davis, one of the best agents in Glamor," whispered Angelo to Daisy.

Karol used to be Angela's agent, so Angela, now as Angelo, was familiar with her.

Daisy then came to understand something. She looked at Karol with wariness on her face. Karol would compete with her for the position of Angelo's agent.

"Good morning, Miss Angeline. Good morning, Miss Clark." Clarence stood up and greeted Daisy.

Daisy shook hands with Clarence with a smile. "Long time no see, Mr. Wilson."

Angelo was surprised to hear that. After greeting Karol, she picked up the coffee and asked Daisy in a low voice, "You two know each other?"

"Yeah. My dad had invested in his first movie, which was kind of a favor to him, so we had some contacts," answered Daisy in a low voice.

Just then, she noticed Clarence's gaze and smiled at her.

"Do you know each other, Miss Watts, Miss Clark?" asked Clarence.

Angelo put down the coffee and smiled properly.

"My brother has been close to Daisy. He introduced her to me. So we're close now."

Daisy nodded.

Clarence then thought of Angeline, saying that she was Angelo's sister. Angelo was close to Daisy, everyone knew that, so did he. So, he got it and nodded.

"Are we waiting for someone, Mr. Wilson?" asked Daisy.

They were here, and the contract was prepared, but Clarence didn't seem to start the talk, so Daisy was puzzled.

Hearing the question, Angelo had a sense of foreboding again.

Soon, Clarence confirmed it, "Yeah, we're waiting for Mr. Drake."

Daisy was shocked at the answer. She hesitated before asking, "You're signing a contract with Angeline, Mr. Wilson, right? May I know the reason why you see Mr. Drake?"

"Actually, Mr. Drake had become the biggest shareholder of Glamor besides me a week ago. So he has to be here."

With a warm smile, Clarence crossed his fingers and explained gently.

What a small world! That was what Angelo sighed inside after hearing Clarence. But then she sensed a familiar cold aura.

"Hello, Mr. Thorne."

Clarence stood up and greeted Drake with a smile. Angelo also stood up. She just felt a headache now.

"Hello, Mr. Wilson," answered Drake calmly. Then he sat down opposite Angelo.

Angelo could only smile at him, "Good morning, Mr. Thorne." After that, she lowered her head. She didn't know how to face Drake right now.

Just then, Clarence handed her the contract.

"This is the contract you are about to sign, Miss Angeline. If you have no problem with it, please sign it."

Glamor used to sign actors simply, Angelo knew it. She took over the contract and read it carefully.

She had read all the preceding clauses in her previous life and had no problem with them. But when it came to the last one, she felt difficult.

"Do you have any questions with the contract, Miss Angeline?"

Clarence was puzzled when he saw the embarrassed look on Angelo's face. He had read the contract and knew that the welfare was good, Angeline shouldn't have any problem with it.

"Yeah. About the last clause… I want Daisy to be my agent."

Angelo finally finished her words under big pressure. Then she felt Karol's gaze and lowered her head down with guilty full on her face.

"Miss Watts, I'm Karol, the name on the contract. You just enter the showbiz and may not have heard my name. You know, I'm one of the best agents," said Karol.

Angelo scratched her head and bit her lips. Of course, she heard of Karol's name.

Seeing Angelo like this, Karol thought Angelo didn't believe her. So she glanced at Clarence and gently said, "Don't worry, Miss Watts. Mr. Wilson had assigned my agents to others, so I'm your exclusive agent. I'll be responsible for you."

Hearing that, Angelo raised to look at Clarence, who nodded to affirm it. Then there was a complex expression on Angelo's face.

As she remembered, Karol used to have an actress who was assumed to win awards next year. But Karol just gave her up.

But even then, she couldn't sign the contract. She blocked her face with the contract and turned to look at Daisy.

"Honey, I have done everything I could. It's on you now," mumbled Angelo to Daisy.

Daisy gave her a "yes" sign and then looked at Clarence with an ingratiating smile.

"Mr. Wilson, I've negotiated with Angelo to be her agent. My dad had invested in your movies. Could you please do us a favor and change the last clause?"
