Chapter 800 - 125: I Know You’re The Best

He could ask Karol to inform Clarence about the beginning of the shooting, but he made the call because he wanted to tell her about Ivy's arrival. So, after getting a positive reply from Angelo, he could end the call.

When Angelo put the phone back, she didn't look easy.

"What did Clarence say?" asked Daisy, concerned.

Angelo told her what Clarence had said to her.

"What? Ivy will watch you acting?!" Daisy was surprised because she kind of knew Clarence.

"Clarence isn't a man meddling with his affections," she mumbled. She didn't know much about showbiz, so she thought Clarence agreed because he loved Ivy. After all, many people knew they were quite close.

But as soon as she finished speaking, she knew she shouldn't say that. Although Angelo didn't love Clarence now, she used to have a crush on him, so she might feel sad to hear that.

Angelo knew what Daisy was thinking about. She touched Daisy's head and smiled, "Don't worry. I'm fine."

But she didn't explain the true reason why Clarence agreed with it. They couldn't change it anyway.

"That's good."

Daisy was relieved, but then she thought of something and showed an embarrassed look.

Seeing Daisy like that, Angelo smiled, "Just say it."

Every time Daisy had some requests, she would grab Angelo's sleeve, so did her now.

"Well, Darren has asked me to go to Disney tomorrow, so I can't accompany you tomorrow."

"You're indeed not a qualified assistant," complained Angelo, pretending to show a look of unhappiness. Daisy looked more embarrassed.

Angelo scratched Daisy's nose and gently said, "I'm kidding. Boyfriend comes; first, I know. Don't worry. Just enjoy yourself!"

Daisy cheered up when she heard that and hugged Angelo at once.

"I know you're the best."

"All right, I should go to bed."

Angelo pushed Daisy away and went to the bathroom to take a shower.

She had action scenes tomorrow, so she needed to take a good rest to prepare herself for it.

When Daisy prepared the clothes Angelo needed to wear the next day, she quietly went back to her home.

The following day, Angelo was woken up by the clock. She rubbed her eyes and went out of her bedroom.

When she smelled the fragrance of food, her sleepiness was gone. After taking a brief wash, she sat on the dining table.

Seeing the chicken soup, Angelo felt warm in her heart. She didn't expect Daisy to prepare breakfast for her.

Just then, there was a knock on the door. She raised her eyebrows. No one else knew her house here except Daisy and Drake.

Drake couldn't come at this time, so it must be Daisy.

"Oh, you careless girl! Did you leave something?" complained Angelo while opening the door.

But it wasn't Daisy but a cook.

Angelo looked at him up and down and asked puzzledly, "Who are you here for, sir?"

The cook looked at her and asked, "You must be Miss Watts."

Angelo was surprised to hear that, wondering if her address was known by her crazy fans. Things like that happened to her in her last life. So, that was the only thing she could think of.

However, "I'm a cook of the Clarks. I was cooking at your house this morning and left my ring there. So, could you please pick it out for me?"

While speaking, he touched his ring finger, there was a mark because of wearing a ring.

Angelo seemed to understand something. She hesitated and then asked, "Is Daisy asked you here?"

The cook nodded at once. "Yeah. She said you loved my cooking and asked me to come here to cook."

Angelo forced a smile, "Wait a moment, I'll pick it for you."

Then she closed the door and went to the kitchen. Near the chopping board, she found a ring.

"How dare you lie to me, Daisy?" mumbled Angelo angrily.

She had been thinking the food was prepared by Daisy and was quite touched. It turned out that Daisy had been lying to her.

While thinking, she walked to the door and returned the ring to the cook. After that, she went to her room, took her phone and called Daisy.

"I've prepared clothes for you, Angelo. They're on the sofa. You can have a look."

Daisy thought Angelo called her for the clothes and explained to her about it.

Hearing that, Angelo wasn't angry anymore but was still not quite happy.

"Thanks for your breakfast," she said.

Daisy was surprised. Angelo had never called to thank her before. But then she seemed to understand something. Angelo must be missing her, and she just couldn't leave her, she thought. The more she thought about it, the prouder she felt.

"No problem. It's not a big deal," she said.

"Your cook just came to look for the ring he left here," said Angelo calmly.

The pride faded from Daisy's face and was replaced by shock. She clenched her fists, determined to rebuke the cook when she got home.

Now, Angelo knew everything about breakfast. Daisy dropped her eyebrows in an instant.

For a while, Angelo heard nothing from Daisy. She smiled and could guess what Daisy was thinking about.

Daisy must be cursed about the cook, Angelo thought, then she smiled.

After a while, Angelo thought she'd better gave Daisy a leg up. So, she asked in a confused tone, "Hello? Are you there, Daisy? Is there something wrong with your phone?"

At this point, Daisy was thinking about how to find an excuse for herself. So, when she heard Angelo, she took the phone away and then said loudly, "What? I can't hear you."

After that, she hung up and then gave a long sigh of relief.

"What's the matter?" asked Darren confusedly, pulling the coat for Daisy.

"Nothing. It's just a little cold."

Daisy forced a smile. She didn't want to tell Darren about her lying to Angelo.

Angelo helplessly smiled after Daisy hung up. She knew Daisy would have taken the excuse she offered to her.

Then she went to the sofa and put on the clothes Daisy had prepared for her.
