Chapter 801 - 126: I’ll Reward You

After leaving the house, she came to the parking lot when it suddenly occurred to her that the key of the car was still in Daisy's hand and she was now Angeline and couldn't drive Angelo's car.

Complaining about the unreliability of Daisy, she put on a hat and wore a mask to take a taxi. That was the only way she could go to work. Risky, but she had no choice.

Green was a villa area, so it was quiet but isolated. People here usually had cars, so few taxis were coming.

She stood on the side of the road for a dozen minutes but failed to see a taxi. And there wasn't much time left before the start of the shooting.

While she was worried, a car suddenly stopped in front of her. Angelo was surprised and looked at it.

"Get in."

It was the familiar indifferent voice.

Angelo felt delighted. While she was about to get in the car, "Drake, she's the one you come to pick up?" a gentle female voice sounded.

Then the window of the passenger seat was down.

Angelo's heart was up when she saw the pretty face.

The one who was sitting on the passenger seat was Christina. A girl was sitting on the passenger seat. That meant something. Angelo knew it and thought of Ivy's words.

When Drake saw the blank face of Angelo, he raised his eyebrows and sounded the car horn. "Get in the car," he warned again.

Just then, Christina gave a disdainful look.

As a person of dignity, Angelo didn't want to accept a favor from someone who hated her. She lowered her hat and walked away.

Seeing that, Drake frowned.

"It seems that she doesn't want to accept our favor. Let's go to the site first," said Christina, pulled Drake's sleeve, and spouted, which happened to be witnessed by Angelo.

Somehow, she felt the scene was familiar. Soon, she knew why she had such a feeling because that was what she did to Drake.

She smiled bitterly. No wonder Drake agreed with her request every time she did that, it turned out that Christina was the reason.

Seeing Angelo leaving, Drake felt uneasy. He ignored Christina and backed up his car.

Angelo was confused to see the car backed to her when she saw Christina smiled at her with pity.

"The shooting was about to start, and there is no taxi here, how about you go with us, Miss Angeline?"

Angelo was so upset by Christina's charitable tone that she sped off.

Drake thought Christina was right, so he didn't understand why Angelo wouldn't take his car.

Since he had backed up for her once and she didn't want to get on, he wouldn't do that again. So, he stepped on the accelerator, and the car rushed forward.

In the mirror of the car, Angelo's figure became smaller and smaller and finally a spot. Looking at it, Christina was jealous. She remembered what Ivy had said to her yesterday.

With Drake's actions just now, she considered Angeline, a coquette. Otherwise, how could Drake do that for her?

But since she came back, she wouldn't allow anyone to approach Drake. As for Angeline, she knew how to punish her.

Here, Angelo was sad for the incident just now when Jeremy's voice sounded, "Why don't your assistant send you to work?"

She raised her head and saw Jeremy's face through the window. Her savior was here, she thought and nodded. Then she asked cautiously, "Can you give me a ride?"

Jeremy was stunned at Angelo's words and then was delighted. He opened the door and gently said, "Come on."

"Thank you."

Getting in the car, Angelo took her mask off and thanked Jeremy.

"You're welcome. You're Angelo's sister, I won't leave you here alone."

Angelo was touched by Jeremy's words. She had never expected Jeremy to treat her so well because of Angelo.

There were grateful people in the world, she thought. So, she had a better impression of Jeremy.

On the way, Angelo received a message from Daisy: Well? Do you like the surprise I prepared for you?

She thought about it and came to understand what was going on.

On the other side, Daisy was smiling, waiting for Angelo to text her back.

A moment ago, Angelo would feel grateful for her, Daisy thought, after all, she tried so hard to prepare for it. The more she thought about it, the more she felt that Angelo should know it so that she didn't do it in vain. Then, there was the message Angelo got.

"I talked for four hours to ask Drake to pick you up, and he finally agreed. So, you have to thank me."

Daisy exaggerated the time. Drake agreed when she proposed it. But Angelo might not feel grateful for her if she told her the truth.

However, Angelo felt more disappointed after knowing that. She thought Drake didn't want to come but agreed because of Daisy's long-time talking.

When she thought of the provocation of Christina, she felt annoyed. Just then, she received another message from Daisy.

"Why don't you reply to me? You must be too excited, are you? Enjoy your lovers' world!"

Angelo thought about it and texted her, "All right. Tell me everything later. I'll reward you then."

When Daisy saw the message, she somehow had a sense of foreboding. But Angelo usually shared her thoughts with her, so she didn't think much about it.

"All right," she replied and continued her dating with Darren. And Angelo almost arrived.

When they got to the parking lot, Angelo saw Drake and Christina waiting there. She paused but then came out under the support of Jeremy.

"I told you that you needn't worry about the heroine and the hero. See? They come together," mumbled Christina and hurried to hold Drake's arm when she saw Angeline and Jeremy coming. But her voice was loud enough for others to hear.

Drake had been taking Christina as a sister and was used to her actions, so he didn't push her hand away.

However, Angelo felt bitter to see that and came to realize that Drake wasn't against everyone's touching.
