Chapter 810 - 135: I Won’t Give Up

His back looked so lonely that Angelo felt sad. When she came to herself, she grabbed him.

"What's the matter?"

Although Drake felt bitter in his heart, he still looked calm. But his aura was kind of sad.

Sensing that, Angelo was timid. She took a few steps back and asked in a broken voice, "Nothing… Well… I just want to know… why did you suddenly come for him?"

She had thought Drake wouldn't answer her, but "Grandma wants to see him," he said.

Angelo looked up in surprise and then thought of the file. She didn't find it in Drake's room, so Corrine might have it.

Then she thought of the recording she had got. If she wanted to have better development in showbiz, strong support was necessary. The file and the recording could help her get strong support. So, she had to get the file.

She clenched her fist to pep herself up. When she looked up, she forced a smile. "Can I visit your family, Drake?"

Her ingratiating smile and sudden request surprised Drake. But soon, he thought of the file Angelo had been looking for.

"He has told you about the file?"

Angelo was stunned when she heard that. She didn't expect Drake to guess that so quickly. She hesitated and then nodded.

But in her heart, she thought her plan wouldn't work because Drake hated people with evil intentions.

But to her surprise, Drake said, "All right. Come with me."

He agreed to think that Angeline, as Angelo's sister, might please Corrine. Besides, the file belonged to the Wattss. He could give it to Angeline since Angelo didn't get it. It was a kind of compensation to Angelo.

Then, Drake strode out. Angelo froze there and didn't realize that Drake had agreed after a while.

She was delighted. While she was about to follow up with Drake, Jeremy suddenly held her and put his head on Angelo's shoulder, but in his eyes, there was sadness.

He had planned to use the gossip to win Angeline's heart. But now, it seemed that it didn't work.

"We're still acting now."

After saying that, he let go of Angelo and looked calm. No matter what, he wouldn't give up a chance.

"Yeah," Angelo nodded.

She was so excited that she kind of forgot it. She showed an apologetic look and then followed behind Drake.

The reporters were confused, didn't understand what was going on, but the hug had already proved something. They took photos of that with satisfaction and then quietly left.

Among their photos, no one was of Angelo following Drake to leave. As experienced reporters, they knew what they should take photos of.

To them, the news published by Vivien was taboo. So, they were kind of curious about why Vivien didn't lose her job. But it was none of their business, and they just focused on their job.

Looking at the back of Angelo and Drake, Jeremy felt that he had lost something he had just grabbed. He shook his head, trying to get rid of it.

"I won't give up," he said. Then he left.

Just then, Angelo followed Drake to his car.

When Drake fastened the safety belt, he saw Angelo sitting in the back seat in the mirror. His heart throbbed. He frowned but didn't say anything.

In silence, Angelo felt a sense of loss. But she told herself that she just went back for the file and she shouldn't have any contact with Drake.

Looking out of the window, Angelo wrapped up her clothes. It was getting colder, and she didn't wear many clothes. Today, the wind made her shiver.

Suddenly, the window went up. Angelo looked at Drake, feeling surprised. She didn't expect that from Drake.

"Thank you," Angelo said.

Drake frowned when he heard the words of thanks. He didn't use Angelo to being so courteous to him. But he didn't say anything.

Soon, they arrived at the Thorne house. Tears welled up when Angelo saw Hale standing at the door.

She had lived at the house for a while and loved it, but soon she cleared up the mood and looked calm.

Seeing Angelo in a dress, Hale stayed but then greeted her with a smile, "Welcome, Miss Watts."

When Angelo came here as Angeline, she had left Hale a deep impression. Now she was wearing a dress, so he could recognize her.

Angelo nodded to Hale and then entered the house. Hearing the noise, Patrick came out of his room. When he saw Angelo, his eyes lit up.

"Oh, my goddess! What are you doing here?"

With that, he came to hold Angelo's hand. Angelo looked embarrassed and quietly withdrew her hand. She forced a smile and said, "I come to visit grandma."

Corrine was Angelo's grandma, and she was Angelo's sister, so she could call Corrine grandma.

But Patrick paused when he heard Angelo, then he looked very excited.

"Grandma? Did Angelo tell you my love for you, and you agree with my proposal?"

Angelo was stunned by Patrick's words, thinking that she had nothing to do with Patrick at all. Besides, when did Patrick say he would propose to her?

"Go back to your room," said Drake.

Patrick might say things casually, but Drake took it seriously. Drake had known that Patrick loved Angeline a long time ago. He didn't care about it before, but now he felt upset to hear that.

Patrick didn't want to leave since Angelo was here. So he said in the way Angelo usually did, "I just come here, Drake."

While Drake was away just now, he carefully went through Angelo's changes these days and concluded that Angelo pleased Drake by acting like a little boy.

But after he did that, Angelo felt sick, and Drake looked unhappy. Coldly, he glanced at Patrick.

Patrick winced and then spouted for the useless trick. But when he saw the cold eyes of Drake, he hurried to run upstairs.

When he got to the second floor, he suddenly turned back and shouted, "Wait for me, my goddess. Let's hang out together." After that, he rushed to his room.
