Chapter 872 - 197: Do You Want To Kill Me?

"Help me with what?" Angelo frowned, didn't understand what McCoy meant.

"I can help to stabilize your identity as Angeline. Then you needn't have to deal with the Thorne and Drake," explained McCoy.

It was a tempting offer. That was her plan.

Drake had been keeping an eye on her. She didn't have much time to live like Angeline, and now she just wished that he couldn't find her secret.

"How are you going to help me?" asked Angelo in doubt. She didn't trust McCoy as before.

"I have an idea. As long as you agree, you can live as Angeline forever."

McCoy didn't say it in detail. He just wanted Angelo's agreement.

Angelo was impressed by his confidence tone and thought that it might work with McCoy's ability now. But…

"Forget about it. Everything will be fine after this period. Don't bother," Angelo calmed down and said words against her will.

"What about later? Do you want to live like this?" McCoy broke the shield she had just guarded up.

The lounge quieted. McCoy seemed to wait for Angelo's decision.

After a while, Angelo said slowly, "Why do you want to help me?"

"Because you're like Angela."

***

A few days later.

Angelo wanted to go back to have a good sleep after working for a whole day.

The assistant came to her with an iPad. She hesitated before saying, "Look at this, Angeline!"

"What?" Angelo took over the iPad and saw a web page.

The top hot search on it was "Angelo"!

"Proof of Angelo Being A Gay!"

Looking at the bold headline, Angelo felt the pain in her head.

The rumor issue of her being gay had ended, hadn't it? How did these things pop up again?

Angelo was so tired that she didn't even want to open her eyes, but she had to check what was going on. She clicked one hot article to see what it was writing about.

This time, it was not Clarence who was next to her but another man: McCoy!

There was only one picture, very blurry, but I could tell her face.

As for McCoy, he was back to the camera. Angelo couldn't recognize him had it not been for that she knew him well.

In the picture, the two were hugging.

Angelo massaged her temples. When did she hug McCoy like this? She tried her best to think but got no clue at all.

"McCoy: It's true."

Angelo stunned and clicked the id of the "McCoy." The authentication of it was: CEO of the Watts group.

It was McCoy!

When she got back to the comment, there were over one thousand replies below it.

Most people were guessing that the one who held Angelo was McCoy, or it couldn't explain why he replied like that.

Angelo froze for a moment and then thought of McCoy offering to help her get rid of the Thorne family. Suddenly, she had a sense of foreboding.

Was this headline the idea he thought of?

Without hesitation, Angelo changed into her male clothes and went to the Watts house.

In the backyard of the Watts house, there was once a large area of rare flowers. McCoy turned it into a pool.

On the way, Angelo had calmed down, thinking that it might not be McCoy who did the headline thing and Twitter might not belong to McCoy. Everything was a misunderstanding.

However, when she asked McCoy about it, he answered casually, "Yeah. I paid for the headlines. You will be free soon."

Angelo was standing next to him, and she wanted to kick her into the pool when she heard him. But finally, she controlled herself and asked a patient, "Don't you have other ways? Why do you use this kind of method?"

"Of course I have. I tried many ways, but none of them worked. This is the last resort. If Drake can stand it, you'd better give up your identity as Angeline."

While they were talking, the fishing line shook. McCoy got up and withdrew the line. When the fishhook got out of the water, a fish about three kilograms was struggling, but the fishhook caught its mouth, and it just couldn't get away.

"Wow, a big fish!" McCoy put the fish into a bucket near him and looked at Angelo calmly. "How about sharing it with me?"

Angelo felt like losing her mind. She couldn't imagine what Drake would do to her when he saw the news.

"Do you want to kill me?" Angelo looked at McCoy in despair. There was anger in her heart, but she couldn't vent it.

However, McCoy looked at her back and smiled, "Drake comes to pick you up. You're free as long as you don't explain."

"Mr. Thorne's car just got here, sir," said the man.

Angelo felt timid. She started to be scared.

McCoy stepped forward and held her waist to support her.

Before Angelo could realize what happened, she saw Drake coming towards her, and he looked so cold.

Angelo stared at Drake until he came nearer, grabbed her wrist, and pulled her over.

Bang!

"Hum!"

With the noises, McCoy fell to the ground. Drake knocked him to the ground.

Angelo's heart raced, worrying that he would hit her then. But after a while, Drake didn't do anything.

She knew her coquettish trick wouldn't work, and she didn't dare to do anything because Drake looked so indifferent.

When they got home, Angelo got suspended again.

The next day when Angelo wanted to sneak out to work, she found Drake sitting in the living room as if waiting for her.

Angelo had no choice but called Clarence for leave in the identity of Angeline.

During this period, she went to Corrine, but it didn't work. Drake seemed to have been determined to keep her in the house. He wouldn't listen to anyone. Besides, no one dared to persuade him except for Corrine.

However, in the middle of the night, Angelo suddenly fainted.
