Chapter 873 - 198: Call For Help

It was Zoey who found Angelo in a coma.

The house lit up because of her scream.

Drake hadn't gone to bed yet, and he walked out the first when he heard the scream.

Angelo was lying near the door, dressed only in a thin nightgown, and looking very pale.

Drake frowned and asked the panicked Zoey to call an ambulance without thinking. His words seemed to draw Zoey's sense back. She hurriedly took out her phone and made a call while looking towards Drake and Angelo.

Drake hunched down and picked Angelo up. Her body was so cold that she might be lying there for a long time.

"… Yeah. Be quick, please!"

After calling, Zoey looked at Angelo nervously and said in a hoarse voice, "Is Angelo all right, Drake?"

Drake looked at Angelo. Her eyes closed, and her breath was weak. She didn't look fine at all.

The ambulance soon came. Corrine saw the ambulance leave at the gate.

On the way, doctors started to check Angelo. Zoey, sitting next to Drake, looked at Angelo worriedly.

"There may be internal injuries. We will give her a thorough examination through medical equipment when we get to the hospital."

The doctors couldn't see anything wrong with Angelo and could only ascribe it to the internal injuries.

However, the fact was that Angelo faked it. She had neither trauma nor internal injuries.

Zoey was relieved when she heard the doctor. They might fail if the doctor said there was nothing wrong with Angelo.

Two hours ago, Angelo called Zoey to ask for help.

They lived in the same house but didn't dare to meet.

Angelo used to help Zoey once, so Zoey didn't refuse her. But still, she was scared to cheat Drake with Angelo.

What kind of person was Drake?

He was a legend in the business. Nothing could hide it from him. Even though she succeeded sometimes, it was because Drake didn't mind it. So, Zoey knew what she should do and what she shouldn't.

On the other hand, however, she returned people's favor. Since Angelo asked her for help, she could only agree.

They had a discussion. Angelo made an arrangement: she would lie on the ground to fake fainting; Zoey would find her and call for Drake, then they would send her to the hospital.

"Do you think Drake is blind? He will see it through at a glance!" Zoey disdained Angelo's idea. But Angelo giggled, "Shall we make a bet?"

They bet whether Drake could see Angelo through.

Angelo looked quite confident, but Zoey didn't believe her, thinking that she would end the plan if she could see Angelo through.

But when she opened the door to Angelo's room, she began to wonder if Angelo was faking or not.

Angelo's face looked pale, and even her breathing was weak, as if she would die at any time.

She stared at Angelo for a while until Angelo opened her eyes and mouthed, "Call for help!"

Zoey then reacted and began to shout.

***

Outside the ward, Zoey heard doctors say that one of the reasons Angelo fainted was anemia, and the main reason was that she suffered too much pressure.

Drake stood in front of the doctors and looked grave.

"Mr. Angelo may have too much pressure but can't find a reasonable way to vent. She got sick because of that. If things continue like this, she may have depression."

Zoey almost believed the doctor if she didn't know Angelo was faking.

But now, she was confused. Did Angelo really have a psychological problem? Or why did the doctor say that?

In the ward, Angelo closed her eyes to take a rest. The pain of the vomiting was over, and her face wasn't so pale.

When she heard the noise from the door, she adjusted her breath at once. But then she heard Zoey say, "All right. Stop faking it. Drake has left."

"He's left?" Angelo suddenly opened her eyes and looked outside in disbelief.

"Otherwise? He has a big deal tomorrow. I heard it's the most important project of the year. How could he stay here with you?"

While talking, Zoey sat on the bed and looked at Angelo up and down, "How did you fake that? You almost deceived me."

Angelo licked her lips, "My sister is an actress. I learned it from her."

"Oh, I see!" Zoey tumbled and believed Angelo.

"The doctor said you are anemic and suffering from too much pressure. What's wrong with that? Are you depressed?"

"Yeah. I am anemic but not serious. As for the pressure…."

Angelo sat straight, thinking about things that happened since she came back to life. Yeah, she did suffer tremendous pressure, making her couldn't breathe.

"I have some pressure, but not so much that it can make me depressed. I know the doctor. He was talking nonsense."

Zoey paused. Just as she was about to continue her asking, someone knocked at the door. It startled her. She thought Drake came back again, but she saw McCoy rather than Drake when she turned her head back.

McCoy walked in and said with a gentle smile, "It's late. Don't you take a rest, Miss Zoey?"

Zoey looked at him, and then Angelo didn't know what to do.

Was the news about Angelo and McCoy the truth?

Thinking of the hot "gay Angelo" on the internet, she just couldn't accept it. It wasn't that she couldn't stand Angelo being gay; she couldn't take McCoy being Angelo's partner.

Both Angelo and McCoy were Watts, so they were kind of relatives. Their love was fornication, wasn't it?

Zoey thought about it and could only stand by.

"I'm about to go home," she said.

When she left the ward, she suddenly saw Drake get out of the lift and come towards her, and he had seen her.

Zoey was so nervous that she didn't know if she should go back or leave here. So, she stayed there, looking at Drake approaching.

"Drake!" said Zoey aloud, trying to stop Drake as well as remind Angelo in the ward.

But the door opened from the inside, "What did you say?" asked Angelo.

Zoey turned her head back slowly, looking quite sad.

Angelo noticed Drake. The atmosphere was kind of awkward.
