Chapter 875 - 200: We Are Not Cheating

Hale had thought Drake would persuade Angelo, but now it seemed that he preferred to leave her alone.

In the study, Drake felt upset when he thought of what happened last night. It wasn't the first time he was like this.

When he heard Hale saying that Angelo didn't eat for the whole day, he felt so much pain in his heart, but he didn't show it.

He couldn't go to Angelo at this time, or the cold cell he tried so hard to build up would break in an instant.

For three days, when Drake got home after work, he heard the same thing about Angelo: she didn't eat anything. Suddenly, he panicked. It would be bad for Angelo's body if she continued like this.

"Angelo fainted, brother!" Zoey suddenly appeared at the stairs, looking terrified.

The same scene three days ago reappeared. Drake walked to Angelo's room without hesitation.

In the hospital, Angelo frowned but didn't wake up when the needle stuck into her skin.

Standing near her, Drake noticed that and bent down to smooth her brows.

Angelo's lips were quite dry, as if she just came back from the desert.

This time, she was not faking.

Angelo woke up once and seemed to see Drake, but soon, she fell asleep again.

When she sobered up, it was dark outside. The man beside her was McCoy.

"How come you are here?" asked Angelo when she found that her voice was very hoarse.

McCoy supported her and handed her a cup of water.

She drank it up slowly, and her throat got better.

"You needn't fast even if you want to leave the Thorne house. It's not worth it," said McCoy helplessly.

Angelo shook her head and said in a hoarse voice, "I didn't mean to. I just don't want to eat."

After a while, McCoy suddenly said, "Now you might want to eat. Drake will no longer bind you. You can go wherever you want to."

Angelo stayed and looked at him, confused, "What do you mean?"

"I mean, Drake will leave you alone. You can just be Angeline," McCoy explained.

Angelo completely froze there.

***

A few days later, Angelo was discharged from the hospital. McCoy had prepared things for her going abroad. A man named "Angelo" got on the plane, but McCoy paid him to do that.

The real Angelo was in Green. She threw away all the male clothes and started her life as Angeline.

On the way to the shooting site, Angelo checked Twitter and found that Angelo's news going abroad had spread away.

Netizens started a hot debate online. Some guessed that Angelo went abroad to get married. Some assumed that she was too embarrassed to stay here. None of the guesses was right.

Angelo didn't bother to explain it. Angelo wasn't a public figure. Why should she explain her private issue to strangers?

"We are here, Angeline," said Cindy, Angeline's assistant.

The car stopped. Cindy glanced at Angelo and suddenly said, "Christina came here two days ago. You weren't here then. The foreign director was quite special to her. People all gossiped that she slept with him."

Angelo stopped her move of opening the door and said, "That can be possible."

"Why?" Cindy was confused, but Angelo didn't explain it.

Christina just came back from abroad, so people didn't know her. Most of Adams' companies were abroad. With her powerful family, she needn't to sleep with anyone to get her job, and it was possible if she forced others to serve her.

Besides, the foreign director used to work with Christina once. He cared about Christina might be for her family's power.

"Oh, you're finally here, Angeline. Are you all right?" Clarence came up and asked her in concern when he saw her come.

Angelo smiled, "Thanks for your concern, Mr. Wilson. I'm fine."

She just fainted from hunger and was abandoned by Drake again. It was all right. She had suffered a lot anyway.

"Good. Change your clothes. We'll start shooting later."

After saying that, Clarence went to the props department to check on the costumes. Angelo and Cindy entered the locker room. Just as Cindy found out the outfit for Angelo, someone entered.

Christina stood at the door and started to satirize her, "You do get airs and grace, Miss Best Actress. I heard that you've disappeared for a week. If it's someone else, she would have to pay breach of contract damages."

Angelo ignored and started to put on makeup after changing into her costume.

Christina might feel bored and left the locker room soon.

The first scene she had was with Christina. She thought Christina would give her a difficult time just like before. But Christina didn't do anything until the end of the day.

When they finished shooting at night, Angelo got out and then saw McCoy's car parking outside.

"I'll send you back."

McCoy walked to her, which attracted much attention. Everyone knew McCoy as the investor of this movie.

"Thanks. But don't bother. I'll go back to the hotel. It's quite close."

With that, she walked to her car, but McCoy stepped forward and blocked her way, "Then may I have the honor to invite you to dinner?"

Angelo hesitated, thinking about how to refuse McCoy. Before she could think of an excuse, she saw a car coming.

The Thorne had many cars, and Angelo was familiar with each of them.

Through the window, Angelo saw Aiken, Drake's assistant.

"Oh, you're here, Drake," said Christina in a cheerful voice. Then she opened the door and got into the car.

Seeing the car driving away, Angelo felt bitter inside.

"Let's go," said Angelo to McCoy. Then she asked Cindy to leave and got in McCoy's car.

McCoy might have guessed the reason why Angelo suddenly changed her decision but didn't mind it.

Finally, the car stopped outside a gourmet restaurant. Angelo wanted to go back just as she got off the car because she saw Thorne' car again.

McCoy also noticed the car and said, "Let's go to another restaurant."

"Don't bother," Angelo made a quick decision and took McCoy's arm, "We are not cheating. Why should we hide?"

McCoy remained silent for a while and finally nodded. Then they entered the restaurant.

"Yeah. We don't bother to change. I've booked a private room. We may not meet them."

While McCoy was talking, Angelo suddenly stopped and looked at the front in a daze.

McCoy looked up.

Drake was there.
