Chapter 600 - The Scum Is Dejected

While Sun Yan and Fei Luo are lovemaking, Fei Huo, deep in his sleep, suddenly began to feel restless when he felt his brother's absence. Xi Bing who can't sleep left their tent in fear that he can't resist it anymore and might kill Xi He on impulse. Xi He, who felt the killing intent, suddenly shivered and covered the quilt on his body.

Xi Bing wanted to go to talk with Sun Yan but then he suddenly saw that Fei Luo left his and Fei Huo's tent and went to Sun Yan's tent. He surmised that Fei Luo might want to apologize thus Xi Bing sat on the grass and waited for Sun Yan and Fei Luo to finish their talk before he go and talk to Sun Yan.

But, Xi Bing suddenly heard Fei Huo whimpering. He was startled and was about to go to their tent when he remembered Fei Luo. He waited for a while for Fei Luo to come back, but then Fei Huo's cries became slightly louder. Afraid that Fei Huo might wake the other participants, he can only go inside the tent and pacify Fei Huo.

"Brother…" Fei Huo called when Xi Bing came in. The night wind entered along with Xi Bing and he shivered.

Xi Bing immediately closed the tent and sat beside Fei Huo. He reached his hand out to hold Fei Huo's hand. "You are too attached to your brother." He spoke and wryly smiled.

Fei Huo stirred in his sleep and was woken up when he felt cold. He was about to open his eyes when he felt that someone sat beside him and held his hand. He thought that it was his elder brother and was about to call him when he heard Xi Bing spoke.

Xi Bing? Why is he here? Where is my brother? Fei Huo thought and was about to open his eyes to ask Xi Bing when he heard Xi Bing's next words.

"You always seek your brother…" Xi Bing continued. "I wonder when will you seek for me…" he said and bitterly laughed. "Probably never." He said and lowered his head, thus he missed to see Fei Huo's eyes opened and widened due to shock.

Xi Bing feels very dejected today. Not only because he can feel that Fei Huo was anxious because his brother wasn't around, but also their sect lost their chance. And the cause is Fei Huo. Ai… Xi Bing's heart feel conflicted and tired.

"When I first met you, I already like you. Because of your smile." He spoke. "Your smile and your eyes. They are pure… and bright. I really liked them. They make me feel warm every time I feel cold because of our family." He said. "Fortunately, uncle Ling left." He smiled. Or else, Xi Ling would have been burdened by their family's matters.

Fei Huo stared at Xi Bing with his mouth open in shock. Hey… hey! Why are you tell me all these?! He thought and blinked. But, Xi Bing can't see him because Xi Bing's head hung low because of the dejectedness he feels.

"So, I began to secretly follow you. And I saw you always following your elder brother." Xi Bing continued. "You always stick to your brother so I can't find a chance to approach you. Until today." He said. "Fortunately, Sun Yan was in the same boat as me." He heaved a sigh. "But, I didn't expect for our plan to drag the entire sect." he shook his head.

Fei Huo was stunned. What?! It was their plan?! He thought and felt angry. He was about to speak when he suddenly heard Xi Bing continue, and he froze when he heard his word.

"But, what can we do?" Xi Bing bitterly laughed. "We just like the two of you. Sun Yan likes your brother very much, and I like you too much." He said and held Fei Huo's hand tighter, as if he is drawing for some support, and comfort. "We both have been secretly in love with you two, yet both of you… you both are unapproachable. You two never let anyone enter your lives. So, how can Sun Yan and I enter? Our hands were tied!" he said as his tears fell.

Fei Luo was startled and felt that Xi Bing's tear is burning him when Xi Bing's tear fell on his hand he is holding. He felt that Xi Bing's tear is searing his arm, and he wanted to pull his hand away. But, he is afraid to startle Xi Bing and, he doesn't want him to know that he actually heard everything. So, he should pretend to be asleep.

"So, when we saw an opportunity, we seized it." Xi Bing said as he touched the tips of Fei Huo's fingers.

Fei Huo felt butterflies in his stomach when he felt the tips of his fingers were touched in a very gentle manner, as if Xi Bing is very careful not to hurt him. Fei Huo suddenly felt like he was greatly cherished. His elder brother of course cherishes him, but in a protective way. Whereas, Xi Bing's action is in… another way. "But, I didn't expect for how cowardly I am when the two of us were alone… thus, I wasted the opportunity I created for myself. I also – " he took a deep breath. " – I also didn't expect for this to drag the entire sect." he closed his eyes to hide the pain in his eyes and his brows knitted into a frown due to guilt and self-blame.

Xi Bing… Fei Huo stared at him in shock. One, because he didn't expect for this to be orchestrated by someone. Two, because Xi Bing confessed his feelings for him! Fei Huo had lived a carefree life, because his elder brother Fei Luo had shouldered the responsibilities for him. Thus, Fei Huo had never expected for him to be confessed to!

What is there to like on his monkey self?! Fei Huo thought as he lowered his head. When he felt something warm and wet dripped down on his hand did he raise his head and looked at Xi Bing, only to see that Xi Bing also actually raised his head to look at him!

Both of them stared at each other. Their eyes wide in shock and they are reflected in each other's eyes!

Oh, my god! What to do?! Fei Huo thought as he looked at Xi Bing, stunned. "Uh…" he muttered when he saw that Xi Bing.

Xi Bing seemed to have frozen in both shock and horror, because he didn't expect for his abrupt silent confession to end up like this! Wait… did he hear me? He thought as his heart thumped loudly.

Fei Huo, surprisingly, became wise at this time. When he saw the doubt that appeared in Xi Bing's eyes, he finally decided. "You… why are you crying?" he asked in a small voice, using all his head to not shriek.

"Oh…" Xi Bing muttered absent-mindedly. He immediately raised his hand to wipe his tears, only to realize that he has been holding Fei Huo's hand. "…" fck.

Fei Huo. "…" oh, fck! He thought and wracked his brain while trying to keep a calm façade. "You… do you feel sad?" he asked. Good, Fei Huo! You are becoming smart! He thought as he praised himself.

Fortunately, Xi Bing's IQ seemed to have dropped at this time because he was startled by Fei Huo waking up. "Uh… yes…" he answered. He really feel dejected today, thus he blurted everything that he feels to the sleeping Fei Huo.

Finally, and reluctantly, he let go of Fei Huo's warm and soft hand.

"Was it because of what happened today?" Fei Huo asked as he sat up, subtly scooting away from Xi Bing after Xi Bing finally let go of his small paw.

Sun Yan and Fei Luo who are now resting after their 'exercise', also looked outside..
