Chapter 279 - The Scum Is A Father

Wu Yuan doesn't want for Luo Shi to resurrect. Not because he doesn't respect him or value him as his shifu, as his second father. Nor does he disregard Wu Fan's life, his father's life, which will be one of the things in exchange with Luo Shi's life. But, he highly respects them instead. 

Although it doesn't show on his iceberg face, but he highly respects Luo Shi. He treats him as he treats Wu Fan. He respects Luo Shi so much, even if Luo Shi is stern towards him and Sun Yi as their shifu. He treats Luo Shi as one of his families. For him, his only family is Wu Fan, his father; Sun Yi, his husband; Chen Han, his best friend, da shixiong and older brother figure; Chen Jing, whom he treats as his uncle; and lastly, Luo Shi, his and Sun Yi's shifu, as well as his second father. 

It isn't lie that your biological father is your first father, and your shifu is your second father. Because the Wu Family has a thin lineage, where in each generation, there is only one child, Wu Fan is the only child in his generation, like Wu Yuan. Since Wu Fan is the only heir, he has a great responsibility towards the family to produce more heirs, to try and break this 'curse' of their family, as well as the sect. Although the Wu family has a thin lineage, but because of their great inheritance from their ancestors, they are equal in power of that the Chen Clan's. But, since the Wu ancestor and the Chen ancestor are the best of friends, it stands to say that the Chen Clan is the greatest backer of the Wu family, and it is right to say that it is because of the Chen Clan the Wu family could still exist today. There is the Wu family because of the Chen Clan's protection. 

Because of these, Wu Fan is very busy. All his time is on the family's businesses and the sect. He got no time to look after Wu Yuan. When Wu Yuan was born, because Wu Yuan's mother died from giving birth, Wu Fan tossed him to his grandfather. When his grandfather died, Wu Fan tossed him to Luo Shi, who happened to be looking for disciples. 

Luo Shi earned an infant disciple. However, he got no complaints. One, it is the Wu family that gave him the task. Two, his disciple is from, although small, but prestigious Wu family. And three, he likes to nurture kids. Thus, he raised Wu Yuan from young until adult. Thus, Wu Yuan, if not for knowing he has a biological father, and Luo Shi is a bachelor, he would've thought Luo Shi is his father. 

Wu Yuan, although his emotions don't show on his face, but he loves his shifu. He highly respects him, that's why he hated Ming Ye for humiliating, defiling Luo Shi's honor. He hated Ming Ye for killing Luo Shi. He could've hated Chen Han, Ming Ye's disciple. However, he treated Chen Han as his older brother. And Chen Han is a victim, too, like Luo Shi. Thus, he couldn't hate Chen Han. Instead, he is more worried for him, since Ming Ye is Chen Han's shifu, and his shifu turned out to be a traitor that deceived everyone and killed thousands of people, destroying thousands of homes. 

"I don't want for shifu to resurrect." Wu Yuan quietly said as he stood beside the bed where Chen Han was sleeping. Although Chen Han doesn't show it, but he knew, Chen Han is the one who lost the most in this calamity. 

Not only Chen Han was betrayed by his shifu, but his clan were also slaughtered by the demonic cultivators led by his very own shifu. His father's life or death is also unknown. Fortunately, Cheng Sheng, his younger brother, was there. 

"Resurrecting shifu is disrespecting shifu's wishes." Wu Yuan spoke even though he knew Chen Han is not listening. "It is disgracing him." He added. That day, when Ming Ye wanted to kill him, Luo Shi blocked Ming Ye for him. However, how can not Wu Yuan, Luo Shi's disciple whom Luo Shi raised since young, not know his shifu's thoughts?

Wu Yuan could feel that Ming Ye doesn't have a killing intent that time. His words of planning to kill him are empty. How can Luo Shi, who is Ming Ye's best friend for many decades, also not notice it? But, even if Luo Shi knew Ming Ye wouldn't really kill Wu Yuan and just hold him captive, but Luo Shi still killed himself. 

Wu Yuan knew, Luo Shi planned to die. Not only to save himself, not only to save Wu Yuan, his disciple. But also, it is to save Ming Ye. If Wu Yuan could notice there was no killing intent, how can the demonic cultivators, who are veterans in killing, also not notice it? Luo Shi acted to not let the demonic cultivators kill Ming Ye, for they would definitely doubt Ming Ye if Ming Ye didn't kill Wu Yuan. Didn't Ming Ye also keep Luo Shi? When Luo Shi died, Wu Yuan finally confirmed the thought that has been bugging him. 

Luo Shi also loved Ming Ye, thus he chose to die in Ming Ye's hands, and clear the demonic cultivators' doubts towards Ming Ye. Wu Yuan's mind was clouded that time thus he didn't notice it, but now he did. His shifu, Luo Shi, and Ming Ye, they love each other. However, it is such a pity they are now separated by death. 

However – "If shifu will be resurrected, Ming Ye will die." Wu Yuan said. "Ming Ye will be killed by his subordinates. The demonic cultivators cooperating with him in capturing Cheng Sheng, it is to test him, Ming Ye." He explained as he raised his head and looked at Chen Han who opened his eyes. There was no sign of sleepiness in his eyes and face. "If shifu was resurrected by Cheng Sheng, Ming Ye will die. Ming Ye's life, is now on Cheng Sheng's hands." He said.

"However, Ming Ye doesn't care about his life anymore." Cheng Sheng said as he held Fei Yin's hand. "He regretted everything. Now, to relieve this regret, he wanted to resurrect Luo Shi." He said. 

"How about the demonic cultivators?" Fei Yin asked. "Clearly, they already noticed Luo Shi is more important to Ming Ye than them. Why they are not killing Ming Ye yet?" he was puzzled. 

"Because the demonic cultivators are more diverse and more disorderly than us, the righteous cultivators." Cheng Sheng answered. 

Fei Yin just looked at him, waiting for him to continue speaking. 

"The demonic cultivators, although wretched and perverse, but because they are disorderly, they needed a leader to guide them." Cheng Sheng explained. "And that leader is Ming Ye." He said. 

Fei Yin's eyes widened, indicating he finally understood. "They can kill Ming Ye and just have the next strongest among them replace Ming Ye." He said. "But, Ming Ye, though spiritually a demonic cultivator, but physically a righteous cultivator, he had blended with the righteous sects and stayed in one for many decades. Thus, not only Ming Ye knows how to organize their troops, but he is also a valuable person. They could use Ming Ye's power as a righteous cultivator in their own way. Thus, they still don't kill Ming Ye." He explained. 

Cheng Sheng nodded in agreement. "Ming Ye naturally knows this fact, that's why he is unbridled in resurrecting Luo Shi." He said. "They are just using each other for their own personal gains." He frowned. 

Fei Yin laughed. "Calm down." He told him as he placated him. "Do you have a way to resurrect Luo Shi?" he asked. 

Cheng Sheng fell silent. 

Fei Yin stared at him. "You don't plan… to use your holy power?" he asked. 

Cheng Sheng shook his head. "My holy power is not omnipotent. Even the Spring of Life." He said. 

"Then…" Fei Yin looked at Cheng Sheng in the eyes. 

Cheng Sheng smiled as he held Fei Yin's hand tight. "How about we escape?" he asked.

Chen Han frowned as he got off the bed. He ignored Wu Yuan before he walked out of the door. Disgusting! Too disgusting! Ming Ye loves Luo Shi? Then, why did he kill him? Why does he have to betray him? Everyone?! And now he wanted to resurrect Luo Shi because he is regretting?! A hypocrite! He is just glossing his mistakes! He also killed thousands of people. He made them lost their home. What does he take them as? Just nothing?! 

He will kill him! He will definitely kill Ming Ye!
