She sighed having recounted everything, "But even that wasn't so bad compared to what happened after..."
Dante could hear the overwhelming pain in her voice. Even he felt himself waver. He could tell that she wasn't acting. This pain of hers was genuine. Dante couldn't say a word, but could only listen to her as she continued.
"I had finally decided to give life a chance again because a bookstore owner promised me I would never be alone again. But it was all a lie. Eventually he got married and was busy with his family. Then my only true friend went to college and slowly stopped contacting me as well... I got a job at a car dealership which was great until...."
She trailed off and paused for a moment. Dante listened intently to her story but soon felt his head swimming. Was this really such a story she had invented on her own? If so, why did it sound so convincing?
She tightened her fists, "But why did they kill me? Was it because of jealousy? Or was it because I wronged them in the worst way imaginable? I know I wasn't the best of friend to them, but did I really deserve to be treated so cruelly?"
She sniffled, "I know my personality is bad... I know I'm a terrible person... Hell, I know there's so many things wrong with me that no amount of therapy could ever fix..."
Her throat constricted, "But was my existence really so meaningless that I could just be thrown away like trash? Did my life really not matter? Did I truly deserve to be broken and forced to die from dehydration and starvation?!"
Dante squeezed her in an attempt to comfort her. He spoke in a low tone, "While I don't quite understand what you are talking about... There's no way you would deserve that kind of treatment."
Sure, Seri was a bit immature and selfish. And sure, she didn't have the best sort of moral code... But she was not a terrible human being. She prioritized her friends safety before anything else. She didn't kill indiscriminately and she only ruined people's reputations if they wronged her first.
If what she said was true, there was no way that she would have deserved that fate.
Seri sighed when she heard him comfort her. She mumbled, "Ah... Dante, I think if I had you in my other world, my life would have turned out much better... Maybe it wouldn't have been such a miserable existence."
As she looked down, her eyes caught sight of something entirely enticing. Her mood completely did another 180. She giggled, "Well who cares? I'm in this world now and I'm even being carried by a true Adonis!"
"Adonis?" Dante glanced at her out of the corner of his eyes.
She chuckled lewdly, "I mean! Hot d*mn! Look at that a**! It's so firm and beautiful you could play the bongo drums on it!"
Seri began to smack Dante's backside as if they really were a pair of drums. Dante's body stiffened up taken totally off guard by the sensation.
Seri began to squeeze it, "D*mn. I'd really like to tap that a** of yours."
"S-STOP!" Dante shouted hoarsely as the tips of his ears burned bright red.
Why was she acting like this?! Could it be that when she drinks she would do this to anyone?!
With that thought, Dante knew he had to hurry back and throw her in her room before anything worse happened.
He carried Seri inside quickly as she laughed mischievously, not sparing Dante's backside in the slightest. As he approached her room, two royal servants looked at him with questionable faces.
Dante spoke calmly, ignoring Seri's teasing. "Could you go tell Lord Kane that his daughter drank too much and has retired to her room for the night?"
Seri whined, "Ai! I don't want to retire for the night you big sexy bully!!!"
They nodded ignoring her, "Right away."
He looked at them with a menacing face, "And don't mention me at all to Lord Kane. If he asks, just tell him you didn't see me with Seri and that she went to her room by herself... If you don't, you will regret it."
They gulped from the chilling atmosphere, "N-No problem!"
As they scurried away, Seri held out her hand to them. "NOOO! YOU BASTARDS! DON'T LEAVE ME! Dante's going to put me in his dungeon!!!"
"Dungeon?"
"Yes. You brought Mary to it in the original novel. You only let her out after she sobbed and begged you to." She clicked her tongue, "But it really didn't help you gain her favor one bit."
Dante continued walking towards her room without acknowledging a word that she said. He opened the door and tossed her on the bed. As he turned to leave, he suddenly felt hands grip his shoulder and send him flying backwards.
His eyes widened as Seri bounced off the bed in a blink of an eye. Before he could react, she had locked the door and pushed an extremely heavy wardrobe in front of it. She had completely cut off any way of escape.
Dante looked at Seri stunned by her sudden display of agility and strength. Since when has she been that fast and strong?!
She stepped towards him with an obscene glint in her eye. He suddenly felt as though the situation was spiralling out of his control. It wasn't that he didn't like where this was heading, but rather he feared that Seri would regret it and blame him in the morning.
Plus, he wasn't the type of person who would take advantage of an intoxicated Seri.
He stood up quickly and moved to the side. However, Seri had quickly and adeptly jumped in front of him, blocking his way out.
He tried to sidestep around her, but she grabbed onto his arm and with ridiculous strength, she tossed him back on the bed. His eyes widened in surprise.
Before he could sit up, Seri was suddenly on top of him. He was completely pinned underneath her. He struggled to move out of her arms, but found his efforts were in vain.
How the hell did she become this strong?! He couldn't even escape her grip. Could it be that she was merely hiding her true strength during practice?
No... Seri was the type of person who wanted you to know how strong she was. If she truly was this strong, she would definitely shove it in everyone's face. She was a show off by nature.
So if that wasn't the case... Then perhaps there was a mental block that prevented her from using this strength. But what could her mental block be?
Seri noticed Dante was furrowing his brow as he stared up at her. She chuckled, "Whenever I see you thinking so hard, I can't help but find it irresistible. And now that I have you here...."
She giggled coyly as her thoughts went to who knows where. Dante looked into Seri's hungry eyes and felt as though he was about to be eaten.
She smiled at him arrogantly, "You know... You are always bullying me into kissing you... Now this time, it looks like I'm the one who gets to bully you."
Dante felt her soft lips press against his. He looked at her in surprise and silently observed her long eyelashes as they fluttered close. Dante's eyes slowly closed as well as he felt her kiss deepen.
Seri traced her tongue along Dante's lips as if to savor every last taste. Her tongue invaded his mouth and gently rubbed against his. Their breathing quickened as their tongues met and began to dance.
She released Dante's wrists from her grip and slowly her hands trailed down before holding his head gently. He knew he should push her off, but he didn't have the energy to deny himself of this pleasure.
He wrapped his arms around her as he embraced her. He felt his body heat up as he held himself back from progressing further. Seri suddenly bit down on his lip, causing him to tremble slightly.
"Ahn..." A hoarse moan escaped his throat.
Seri pulled away and snickered. Dante's ears flushed red as he looked away in embarrassment. However, Seri pulled his face back so that she could fully enjoy his reaction.
Her hazy peach colored eyes met his sharp golden eyes.
She smiled, "How strange. No matter what I do, you never seem to leave my side. Even when you found out that I was the Black death, you still stayed beside me. I wonder if I could ever do anything that would make you abandon me."
"I would never abandon you." He muttered as he met her eyes with an unwavering gaze.
She grinned after hearing those words. He could tell that she was extremely pleased. She whispered into his ear, "You know why they call me the mad pup?"
He raised an eyebrow.
She answered, "Because I like to bite."
In the next second, she bit down on his ear causing him to gasp in surprise. He held onto her tightly, trembling slightly. She moved down and sunk her teeth into his neck.
This time, he was unable to prevent another moan from escaping. She licked his wound and continued her onslaught.
Dante's chest heaved as his brain grew foggy. His body begged to take the next step, but he willed himself to maintain self control. The last thing he wanted was to push Seri too far and then be shunned by her the next morning.
However, Seri wasn't making this easy.
She suddenly ripped apart his shirt, exposing his chest. This was certainly too much for him to handle. She chuckled as she felt his muscles. His body twitched slightly as if electricity was being sent through her fingertips.
She sighed in admiration, "Ah... I've always wanted to touch this amazing body... This is truly a wonderful birthday..."
Before he could speak, she bent down and bit him once more. She didn't intend to spare him at all. She alternated between kissing and sucking to biting down on his tender skin.
Dante was now fully decorated in kiss marks and bite marks. Seri pulled away to appreciate her work. She wiped her mouth and smiled at him haughtily.
"There. Now everyone will know you belong to me."
As Dante was prepared to enjoy another round of whatever this was, he suddenly felt Seri's head hit his chest. Her arms coil around him and one of her legs draped over him. She breathed deeply, fully asleep.
"..Haah?"
He looked at her in disbelief. Did she really just pass out?! Right at this glorious moment!?
He sighed. Well... He can't complain. It was nice while it lasted.
He tried to get out from underneath her, but she clung onto him tightly. He struggled to move out of her grip, only succeeding in making her grip tighter.
He paused and looked at the ceiling, "..."
He was stuck.
Seriously. Just when did she become this strong?! She literally has beast like strength!! Isn't such a thing impossible?!
Well, it didn't matter. Since there was no way Dante could leave her embrace tonight, he might as well just fall asleep.
As he closed his eyes, he recalled the earlier kissing and biting. His body was still hot and sensitive. He desperately wanted to relieve himself of the uncomfortable sensation. He tried using meditation and mantras to gain back control of his body.
His eyes snapped back open as he stared at the ceiling. There's no way he can relax now. Dante sighed as he realized he would not be able to fall asleep tonight. He unfortunately had to wait until Seri woke up and kicked him out.
So there he was... In the bed with his compass still pointed at the sky.
