45 Giving the world

Draig was waiting behind the flames having set camp for the night, he needn't worry about sneak attacks with the fire acting as a shield to outside forces.

Calling the Coven in for a meeting Draig began explaining his intentions.

"Everyone I will be taking a small trip, I will leave the command of the ghouls to Stein. Goeki you will control our close quarter troops, Zura the mages, Terra the summoners. During this time I may not be capable of returning in time to assist you, with that said don't take any risks. Act when you have full confidence in victory." ordered Draig seriously as the skull atop his cane gleamed in the light of the candles.

"Lord, where will you be going" asked Goeki a bit panicked.

"I need to go and test my limits or I will never grow. I need to struggle if I am to bring these opposing races to their knees." explained Draig twirling his cane finding a bit of amusement from the act.

'Explains why the Mage always did it' thought Draig

Saying no more Draig stepped out of his tent and faded into a Mist, if one hadn't witnessed the scene no one would have believed someone had been standing there.

Draig wasted no time as he looked down over the Forbidden Zone, he had originally left so he could gather Blood Points. Draig desired to activate the different branches of the skill tree and increase his level, he wanted the inherent traits of those foreign beings and he couldn't act freely with all those people around.

Draig chuckled as he traveled through the forest draining any weak monster that he came across, the Blood Points were not easy to gain as it was one per Liter of blood consumed. Draig had not even put a dent in the cost of activating one branch of the Skill Tree let alone the two.

He cursed this new upgrade to his system he felt as if it was holding him back but he would solve the problem if that was the case. Nothing was spared along his path, until finally he came across a small scouts camp.

Scaly men with the head of a Dragon, if he wasn't mistaken these should be Dragon Kin. Descendants of those who had been blessed with the power of a Dragon and had thus mutated from this power.

Draig felt his hunger surge, he was certain he would gain immense benefits from consuming the robust essence. Silently gazing at his prey, he stuck to the outer perimeter of the small camp biding his time for that perfect moment.

Unfortunately he wasn't aware of how capable the senses of these hybrid beings were. Before he could even strike, a ball of fire had been cast towards his location.

"Why are you Blood Suckers here" demanded the apparent leader

Draig realizing the jig was up stepped out from his cover twirling his cane.

"Oh little Lizard, don't you know. I came here because I was hungry, I wanted dinner and a show" laughed Draig as he swung his cane dropping one Dragon kin

The leader narrowed his eyes and lurched at Draig intent on solving the case of this intruder, unfortunately he wasn't Draig's goal. Disappearing from the spot he appeared at the opposing end of the Leader, just as he did so the rest of those Dragon Kin fell.

"I will be taking my leave Little Lizard, it appears I must take this meal on the go" laughed Draig gathering those fallen Dragon Kin.

The leader Grit his fangs and tried to give chase but he was incapable of flight, Draig then disappeared into the night as his laughing echoed throughout the sky.

The leader ran in another direction to report this event to the main forces, he would see to it that those Blood Suckers didn't get away with this betrayal.

Draig wasted no time and drained those Dragon Kin as if they were nothing more than a juice pouch, those horrifying husks lying on the ground. Draig then focused and tried to see what he had gained from these creatures, he had only defeated them so easily because they had not held their guard and even then he had barely managed to knock them out.

As he paid attention to the system he saw that instead of gaining the skills as he had thought it opened up a branch on the Skill tree. Narrowing his eyes slightly he checked the Blood Script and felt reassured when he saw that it had actually captured those skills from the Dragon Kin but as he checked them he realized they were unnecessary.

It seemed that any meaningful Skill would only be accessible after activating one of the Skill trees.

'It seems I have a bit of trouble ahead of me to continue my present growth rate' thought Draig as he hopped into the canopy of a tree and rested.

Far away from this sleeping Vampire, Zarra was on a rampage laughing as he condensed fountains of blood into a gelatinous pellet. He needed a bargaining tool for what he was going to ask, on a plus side this was also increasing Draig's chances of victory.

'Hope the brat goes for this, otherwise I will die' thought Zarra as he coughed into his hand revealing a bit of blood.
