46 Giving the world pt 2

Draig had just began the seeds of discord among these other beings from the different planes, unknown to him he was gaining assistance in this matter. Still under the belief that Zarra was long dead his head had become clearer.

Twirling his cane he was enjoying a leisurely pace gathering different things that he found laying around, an oversight on his part was the fact that with the burning of the forest in the forbidden zone they would lose many resources. Shaking his head lightly as he continued walking around collecting the different important plant life.

"Hey brat, long time no see" came the voice of the dead man.

Draig became alert instantly with no regards for who the assailant might be, believing that the voice was an illusion trying to play tricks on him.

"Kid this isn't an illusion, I am alive and well. At least mostly well, I actually came here to ask you for a favor" stated Zarra with a haggard smile on his face with a tinge of blood staining his teeth.

"Is it really you." asked Draig his breathing losing rhythm.

"Kid I can't waste anymore time, this is important. I need you to give me the inner world" hurried Zarra rushing to the point.

"Why" asked Draig with a change to his demeanor as his breathing became steady

"I am actually dying right now, I detonated my inner world which is where my life force comes from. I need you to transfer your inner world to me if I am to live" explained Zarra in a grave tone.

Draig looked at the Mage for a long while before sighing, he had barely learned of the benefits from the inner world but it seemed that it was for nothing.

"Fine, how do we transfer the inner world." asked Draig solemnly

As much as Draig didn't want to give it up he wouldn't forget the favor Zarra had shown him, he wouldn't be able to progress to where he was currently without his influence.

"We will need to find a secluded place and I will have to put you to sleep so you won't notice the pain while it is happening" explained Zarra with an elated look.

Draig merely resigned himself, he was somewhat glad Zarra was alive but the current situation was just something he couldn't help but feel he was taking a loss. He had undergone several painstaking trials just to have a glimpse of ultimate power only to have it taken away.

Draig had been distracted with these thoughts and thus didn't realize his vision had gone black.

Zarra picked up the fallen vampire and flew away to a special location he had apparently prepared in advance. Zarra was smiling as he carried Draig.

'Don't worry kid, I won't let you come out of this empty handed. What father would take from his own with no regard for their loss.' thought Zarra as he patted Draig's head bringing a comforting smile to vampire's face.

Something that he had thought was discarded was now showing signs of still being intact, this thing was his wish for a parent or any family for that matter. No matter how badly he had wanted to get rid of that feeling it would still be there, after all it is only human nature...

This feeling would bring a change to Draig, one that would bring out either his worst or his best but only time could really tell what would happen.

Humans are known for their heinous acts but vampires are known for their sense of superiority and arrogance. Would this combination come together to lead him to greatness or would it be what destroyed him and what he had worked for.

Zarra had long had theories on this but felt that those were unnecessary regards but no one could really know until it was revealed in full swing.
