Zarra laughed happily as he and Draig played a super intense game of tag, Gregory and Jared could be seen planted on the ground with various bruised hand prints along their bodies. This was a form of revenge for Zarra while he was playing with his son, he would not forgive so easily just because there was a blessing in disguise.

"Dad, how come they're just laying there" asked Draig as he looked at the downed Necromancer and Bloodknight.

"Good question" laughed Zarra though from his eyes could be seen a menacing glare as the two reluctantly got up and ran from the father and son duo.

"Tag" roared Draig as a hand with spine snapping force landed on the Bloodknight causing him to freeze from the force.

It had been a month since the fracturing of Draig's mind, during this time Zarra had made sure to make up for the years he had missed doing everything he had longed for. Birthdays, games, and most importantly building the bond he craved.

"Alright Draig, come here daddy's got something else we can do now" chuckled Zarra

"Training" asked Draig with a bright smile.

"That's my boy" chuckled Zarra as he began teaching Draig a few of the fundamentals of spell casting as well as the proper way to draw in mana from the environment, a theoretical method he had found success in.

However unknown to the Mage Draig had started to have dreams, these dreams presented him as a child scrounging what he could off the streets being glared at and cursed wherever he went. He saw himself in many different ages and different situations but in the end they were all the same, someone was always aiming for him.

"Hey Dad..." asked Draig causing the mage to pause as he felt the trouble in the young Feratu's voice.

"What is it Draig" asked the Mage softly causing Draig a bit of comfort.

"A-Am I a Monster...." asked Draig causing Zarra to freeze.

"Draig, don't be silly. Why would you ask that" chuckled the Mage

"No reason" answered the Vampire looking down, the dreams felt so real and unknown to him these were actually memories resurfacing.

"Hey, look at me." started the mage causing Draig to look up.

"Monster, Human, God, or Devil, it does not matter. Wanna know why" asked the Mage

"Why" asked Draig

"Because no matter what you will always be my boy, I would tear the heavens asunder and set this world to burn just for you. I am your father and you my son, this is a bond I cherish and will never let be severed" stated the mage.

'Not again' continued Zarra mentally

"I've been having dreams, people hated me. They cursed me and beat me for no reason, they said I was a monster" stated Draig suddenly causing Zarra to turn serious.

"Uncle Greg and J were there too, they hurt me. They made my body burn and they wouldn't stop" continued Draig causing the Mage to cast his eyes at the two who looked hurt upon being called uncle.

"You said I was a monster, ..... a disgusting Vampire" stated Draig causing the mage to flinch from the memory.

"Listen, I would never say that to you. Even if I did, I could never mean it" stated Zarra pulling the Feratu into a hug as he tried to soothe him.

"There was this other person too, a really strong man. He wanted to help me and there were Werewolves too, they seemed like my friends but I have never met a Werewolf before" continued Draig causing an intense headache causing him to scream out.

It seemed the pieces were starting to mend themselves slowly but surely though how long it would take before it was completely restored was a question that could not be answered.

"Hey that's enough for today, let's go and get you some pumpkin bread" offered Zarra but Draig's eyes showed that he wasn't in the mood.

"Maybe later mage" answered Draig before realizing what he said but Zarra recognized that tone.

"Sorry dad, I don't know why I said that" apologized Draig quickly

"I-It's okay, everyone slips up every now and then. So what do you want to do then" asked Zarra with a smile though he couldn't shake the troubled feeling.

"Train, my powers are limited" answered Draig once again speaking as his true self though only Zarra noticed this as his friends at the side also passed a knowing look.

"Alright then just do the excercises I showed you" instructed Zarra.

"Dad, I want to spar though" complained Draig but the mage couldn't find the mood for it.Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click www.novelhall.comfor visiting.

"How about we do that tomorrow" smiled Zarra

"Fine" pouted Draig as he once again began casting spells his speed having increased in that aspect of attack.

Zarra sat at the side wondering why it had to be ending to soon, his thoughts were a bit selfish but he couldn't help it. He was certain that when Draig's memories were restored he would leave and this time he would never return.

Suddenly he heard a wild yell as Gregory was set on fire causing Draig to laugh at his expense, the comical sight caused Zarra to forget his thoughts for the time being and make the most of the moment.

"Stop, Drop, and Roll" yelled Zarra laughing maniacally with Draig at his side.

However in the depths of Draig's mind crimson eyes could be seen stirring and as that being moved the fractured memories seemed to move around until they fell into a proper place.
