97 Patron or Not pt3

A few days had passed since Draig had been welcomed into Yuki's clan learning that it was known as the Kori Clan, known for the Winter's Blade swordsmanship. It was an interesting name to him though he didn't know the meaning but he assumed it had something to do with the cold due their swordstyle.

The Feratu had not been lazing around during this time, he found the flaw with using his runes in battle and sought to correct it's shortcomings. He recalled being able to place runes without the need for a physical mark but it was different now that he wasn't in the world of the system. As before he could simply do it without knowledge of how to but now that he was here it didn't seem to work the same, he needed to experiment with the runes to truly understand how he could place them without the need for a medium.

The goal he hoped to achieve by doing this was the ability to place runes by just placing his hand upon a person or object, if he could do this then he wouldn't need to worry about his capabilities in battle for the moment as it would be a surprise to those who knew of his charms.

Suddenly a shout was heard from outside his cottage causing the Feratu to smirk, seemed is barrier rune script had done it's job.

Draig stepped to the doorway where the shout had come from and smiled at a twitching figure that seemed to be charred a bit.

"To what do I owe this unexpected visit" asked Draig not really concerend if this person was alive as a crowd drew near.

The person on the ground seemed to come back to life as he rose to his feet with the occasional jerk of a limb.

"Lord Kori wishes to see you" spoke the servant with a jitter.

Draig nodded and stepped out of the cottage following the youthful servant though the man would send the occasional glance towards the Feratu as if expecting a sneak attack.

It didn't take long before Draig and the servant appeared before a group of men with Lord Kori at the head and Yuki at his side.

"Here he is" spoke Lord Kori with a miserable countenance causing Draig a bit of confusion.

Scanning his eyes around the room he found Ari causing him to understand a bit of the situation as he looked at the man beside her who shared similar eyes.

"Excellent, we knew you would come around eventually though it is a pity that we have already informed his excellency of this talent" stated a different man off to the side wearing glasses which seemed to cause the others in the room to turn to him in shock.

"You did what" roared the rest of the men in the room causing the man in glasses to smile.

"It is only natural that the Emperor know of such a person living in his kingdom, you didn't really expect to hold this person among yourselves did you" stated the man before Draig coughed lightly.

"Why have I been called here" asked Draig though he was certain he knew the situation.

It seemed none of the men wanted to speak thus Lord Kori decided to speak on their behalf but it was the man in glasses that took to the task.

"Simple, we are here to commission you to create these wondrous little charms for us until his Majesty arrives" chuckled the man causing Draig to snort.

"You seem to have some kind of issue with your line of thought" spoke Draig causing the man in glasses to look at him strangely.

"You have this crazy idea that I will simply do as you ask, however you don't have the ability to do so any longer." chuckled Draig causing the rest of the men to stare curiously.

"Oh, quite arrogant for a brat" sneered the man in glasses.

"Not arrogance, simply stating facts. You lost your ability to punish me the moment that you had informed your Emperor of my existence, think about it. I am a one of a kind asset and how well would your emperor receive the person who possibly crippled this asset." explained Draig causing the man with Glasses to come to realization before scowling at the Feratu menacingly.

"Besides, I am out of Ink and paper" shrugged Draig with a smile enjoying the look on the man's face.

The other men in the room seemed to understand what Draig was saying but Lord Kori was certain to real in the fish that was Draig.

"I will send some men to fetch you some supplies" started Lord Kori but was interrupted by a few others.

"No need Brother Kori, I have a few men in town already I will merely use a Divine Messenger and have them bring some" cut in Ari's father.

"Brother Kaen, I assure you there is no need as I happen to also have men outside. I will handle this for you so you don't need to trouble your slaves" cut in a muscular man emphasizing the word 'Slaves' as he spoke.

"Brother Sanda, I have you know that those slaves you speak of are valued members of my family unlike your own children whom you never see" spat Lord Kaen looking towards the muscular man.

Lord Sanda narrowed his eyes at that, soon arguments broke out among the Lords in the room as the offer of supplies became a contest of mud slinging.

Draig didn't care about the skeletons in these men's closets, he just wished to gain some free supplies for his Charms.

"I will excuse myself then" spoke Draig though his words were unheard above the noise of the arguing.

The Feratu stepped outside the building and returned to his small cottage though the person following wasn't nearly as sneaky as they would like to believe as Draig had been focusing on his surroundings since the time Yuki had managed to spy on him without his notice.

"If you try to follow me any further you will receive a rather shocking discovery" chuckled Draig as he stood just inside his doorway before turning around to see a girl in glasses possessing the same hair color as the man who had spoken so arrogantly before.

"You spoke out against Father...." stated the girl blankly

"I assume your Father is the one who thought he was oh so clever" asked Draig causing the girl to nod.

"I am Ichika Kaiyo, I am his daughter. I hope to see you again" stated the girl before leaving causing Draig to remember a certain stalker from his old world.

'I wonder how she is right now' thought Draig as he sat down in his living area

However in Draig's old world the woman sat watching the Feratu with a smile, she seemed very content with her new entertainment while the world outside of her cavern was frozen without even the trace of a breeze. Looking out over the landscape not a single living entity could be seen, not even in the forest where the Skyfall had been occurring. The world was silent.
