Chapter 14 - 14: I Can Take Two Quests!!

[Hey Arthrall. . . You may want to open your eyes, and take a look at what is on you.]

{Huh?? Why?? I'm still really tired. . .}

[Just do it!]

{Wait. . . Why do I feel something heavy on me. . .}

At that point I decided it was time for me to open my eyes. What I saw was a big head staring at me.

{{Arthrall!! I grew!!}}

"Uh. . . Yeah I see that Orion!"

{This is Orion correct??}

[Surprisingly it is. . .]

"Wow. . ."

"Uh Arthrall. . ." Someone said to me in my room.

{{Oh yeah, Arialle is here also.}}

"Thanks for the heads up Orion. . . Hey Arialle." I said to her once I turned my head.

"Uh. . . Is that Orion??" She asked me.

"Yeah it is. Which is weird because he wasn't that big yesterday. . . How did you get some big Orion??" I turned my head towards where Orion was looking at himself.

{{I'm not to sure honestly. When I awoke, I was already this size.}}

"Hmm. . . Alright, give me a second, and I'll take a look at you."

"What did he say?" Arialle asked me.

"He said that he wasn't exactly sure how he had gotten that big. Just that he awoke like that." I told her.

Then I took a look at him. I just realized he had grown due to his level.

"What's up?" Arialle asked.

"Well, Orion did level up, and he also got a skill." I said while looking at Orion.

"Awesome!" she exclaimed.

"Hey Orion." I said.

"Once we get out of town, I want you to use your new ability. Unless we can use the targets at the Adventurer's Guild." I told him.

"You need to go to the Adventurer's Guild? We are already heading over there after we eat. So we should be able to use the training dummies out back." Arialle told us.

"Alright, that sounds good to me than." I said.

So when we went to leave the room, Orion had some issues getting his wings through the door. Considering he was now as long as I am tall. We finally got him through the doorway, and we went downstairs to get something to eat. Once down there, we called over the waitress to get us some food.

"Hey there guys, what can I get for you guys?" The waitress said.

"I'll have the special. Question, do you guys have any fish, or any bloody meat I could feed Orion? I asked her.

"Um, let me check in the back. Before I go, what would you like hun?" She asked Arialle.

"I would also like the special." She told the waitress.

"Alright, give me a moment, and I'll ask them if there is anything we could feed your dragon." She said, then turned around, and walked towards the kitchen.

It had only taken her a quick moment before she came back out to us.

"We actually got some fish, and some red meat back there. I guess the owner figured you were going to be here, so he ordered for us to get some. Also, the meal for him is covered by you both staying here!" She told me while smiling.

"Well, how much do you want Orion?" I asked him.

{{I want 8 fish, if not that many then 4 fish and some red meat!}}

"He wants either 8 fish, or 4 fish and some red meat." I told her.

"Alright, your guys meals will be out soon." She told us, then turned to the table next to us and started taking their orders.

"Well that was sure nice of the owner!" I told Arialle.

"Yeah it is, honestly I'm kind of surprised he did that." She said to me.

"Why is that?" I asked.

"Oh no reason, it is just surprising is all." She said.

"Oh ok." I said to her while petting Orion on the top of his head.

It had only taken a few more minutes until our food came out. Arialle and I had our specials, while Orion ended up with 8 fish, and he also got a slab of red meat. I was actually kind of surprised by this. As I was eating my food, I watched Orion tear into his food. It didn't take him very long to finish his fish, and then he started to devour the red meat. It was the first time he had read meat actually. By the time he finished his meal, Arialle and I had most of ours done. It didn't take us much longer to finish ours either. I motioned for the waitress back over, and Arialle paid for her meal. Then we got up, and then went out the door to head towards the Adventurer's Guild.

Once we were inside, I went straight to the quest board.

"So what quest you wanting to do?" Arialle asked me.

"Honestly, I want to do more slime quest, because Orion has that new skill. I want to see him fight with it. Do you know if I can take multiple quests? Like just two of them?" I asked her.

"I mean, I don't see why not since I will be with you." She told me.

"Alright, then I want to grab two of the Kill 25 Slimes quest." I said, then I grabbed them, and head straight over to Faylin.

"Hey Faylin!" I said to her.

"Hey Arthrall! You here to grab more quests?" She asked me.

"Actually, yes I am! I've got 2 of them here!" I told her, while handing over the 2 quests and my ring.

"Oh, well normally we wouldn't allow you to grab two quests. Arialle you going to be with him today?" She turned towards Arialle.

"Yes, I will be going with him today!" She said to Faylin.

"Alright, since Arialle is going with you today, then I will allow you to have two quests! Now, all I gotta do is set up your ring to record you killing your targets." She said to me, while taking my ring, and the two quests.

"Alright, here is your ring! Is there anything else you need?" She asked after she had handed my ring back to me.

"Uh. . . Oh yeah, there is. Any way we could use the training dummies out back to practice on?" I asked her.

"Sure is, just got ahead, and head on back there!" She told us.

"Alright, thank you Faylin!" I said to her while walking towards the back.

It didn't take us too long to walk towards the back door. We went outside to see a few people attacking the targets.

"Alright Orion, I want you to attack the target dummy right there, and I want you to use your new skill!" I told Orion.

{{Alright, here I go!}}

Orion ran up to the target dummy, and activated his skill. The skill looking pretty cool, it made his wing look longer, with a blue tint to it, it also looked like an actual blade also, and when he shot it off towards the target, it went pretty quickly. When it hit the target, it exploded, or at least that is what I thought. Upon closer inspection, it didn't make it explode. It was actually just the dust from the target dummy itself, but it did leave a cut mark on the dummy.

"Huh. . . It is pretty strong I would say." Arialle commented.

"Yeah it is, now I wonder what it would be like against actual targets. Alright Orion, lets go ahead and head out of here, and go kill us some slimes!" I commented.
