Chapter 15 - 15: I Can't View Her Stats. . .

"Wait a second!" Arialle exclaimed.

"What is wrong?" I said.

"If we are going to be killing 50 slimes total, then shouldn't we take some sleeping stuff with us, and some food?" She asked.

"Hmm. . . Even though we had killed 15 slimes before, it did take us a while to even do it. So yeah, I think you are right, but sadly I don't have the money for it." I told her.

"Don't worry about the money issue, I've got camp out gear we can use, and if need be, I've got rations that we can also use. Sadly though, I don't have any food for Orion." She told me.

"Orion, do you think you can survive a night without food? If not I've got about 5 silver left I can go buy you some food." I said to Orion, while looking at him.

{{Um. . . Honestly, I would prefer eating. I'm sorry. . .}}

"Don't be sorry bud, that is why I asked you. Alright, you wanna meet back here? I've gotta go get him some food. You know where I can get him some food for later?" I turned, and asked Arialle.

"Yeah, it should be near where we get the fish. All you gotta do instead of going to the fish guy, take a left when you see him, and there should be a lady selling cured meat there." She told me.

"Alright, thanks!" I told her, then I turned towards the direction of the fish guy.

It didn't take me too long to reach the fish man. I did what she told me, and took a left once I could see him. Once I turned to the left, I saw the lady she was talking about.

"Hi there ma'am. I was wondering if you had any cured meat I could buy off you? I need it for my dragon for tonight. We are going on a quest, and we won't make it back till tomorrow." I asked her.

"Hello there young man. Yes I do actually, but I'm not sure how much you will need in order to feed him." She told me.

"Well since he grew last night, he has eaten 8 fish and 1 slab of meat for breakfast this morning." I told her about our breakfast this morning.

"Hmm. . . Alright, let me see what I can do." She told me.

It didn't take too long for her to bring out some cured meat from the back of her stall.

"Alright, here we go. I've got 4 slabs of meat here, that should tie him over until tomorrow morning. It will cost you 7 silver." She told me.

"Crud. . . I've only got 5 silver left. I currently just grabbed two big quests from the Adventurer's Guild hall." I told her.

"Hmm. . . Alright young man, I will give you these 4 slabs for the 5 silver you've got. Just make sure you feed him all of it alright!" She told me while point at Orion.

"I will ma'am! I promise!" I told her, while taking the last bit of money I've got out of my pocket, and handing it over to her.

"Alright you better!" She said to me with a smile on her face.

"Thank you again!" I yelled to her while running towards the gate of the town.

Once I had gotten to the gate, it didn't take long for Arialle to show up with our stuff.

"Did you get the food for Orion?" She asked.

"Yeah I did, but sadly I am completely broke now." I commented.

"How much did you get, and how much did it cost?" She asked me.

"I got 4 slabs of cured meat, and it cost me 5 silver. Which was all I had left." I said to her.

"Well don't worry about money for now. Those two quest should get you close to 20 silver, maybe more. Well I've got all of the stuff we will need for tonight, so I guess you lead the way." She said.

"Well do you want me to help carry any of it? Hmm. . . We need to invest in a cart and horse at some point." I said.

"Yeah you can carry half of it, and yeah that would help. The only problem is that is costs around 50 silver to get a cart, and another 20 silver to buy a horse to pull it." She said to me while handing over half of the stuff she had brought.

"Well, it just means that I've got to save money. Which also means, I've got to do more quests!" I exclaimed to her, while putting the stuff on my back.

"Alright, well I'm ready if you are." She commented towards me.

"Yeah, I'm ready also. Let's go Orion!" I said, while walking towards the gate.

Once we were outside of the gate, I took the same route as last time. While walking Arialle and I talked for a bit. While talking, I took a look at my quest menu.

It only took us about an hour until we saw our first slime.

"So would you like to go first, or me?" I asked Arialle.

"Why don't you go first, you wanted to try out Orion's new skill didn't you?" She asked me.

"Alright. Then Orion, shoot your Wind Blade at that slime." I told Orion.

Orion started to run towards the slime, and before the slime could move, it already was being shredded by the sword blades that Orion just shot off towards it.

"Wow. . . He defeated it with one shot of his Sword Blade." Arialle commented.

"Actually he sent two of them, one from each wing." I said.

"Oh, I thought that counted as one." Arialle said.

"Hmm. . . Let me check him real quick." I commented.

I looked at Orion while he walked towards us.

"No it isn't, but the problem is that he can't use it continuously either." I said when I turned and looked at her.

"Hahaha. . . I will allow you to use your Wind Blade two more times, and after that no more. Got it?" I chuckled while asking him.

So we went around killed slimes for about 5 more hours until we could hear Orion's belly growl.

"You hungry there bud?" I asked him.

"Hey Arialle, why don't we stop for now. Orion is hungry, and I could also use a bite to eat." I told her.

"Alright, that is fine. I'll get your rations out." She commented towards me.

"Alright, thank you!" I said to her.

She handed me a box with my rations in it, then I took and opened the parcel I had gotten from the lady earlier. Inside of it was 4 slabs of cured meat, I ended up taking two of them out, and put them on the ground in front of Orion. While eating our rations I decided to look at our stats, but before I could Zoe spoke up.

[Hey, take a look at Arialle's stats. I want to know what level she is.]
