Chapter 25 - 25: Mana Potions!!

It took us about 30 minutes to get to the profession's area due to us walking with Onyx. Everyone wanted to see him and patted his little head. The kids absolutely loved him, they wanted to play with him, but I told them he was too small.

"So what profession are you wanting to go with?" She asked me after showing some kids away from us.

"Hahaha. . . Um. . . Well I was thinking of something like Leatherworking and Skinning. I figured the Leatherworking would help me to where I can make some better gear myself. The Skinning can help me make money, and also be used for the Leatherworking." I told her after chuckling, and thinking about it for a few moments.

"Hmm. . . Alright, that would help me out also. I need some better equipment anyways." She said.

"Hmm. . . I see how you are. You are just using me. . . Hahaha. . ." I said before I started laughing.

"Hahaha. . . No I'm not!" She exclaimed.

"Uh huh. . . Sure. . . Hahaha!" I commented.

". . ." She started staring at me intently.

"What. . ." I started to get a little uncomfortable after looking at her.

"Hmpf. . ." She then started stomping away from me.

"Hey wait up! I have little Onyx in my arms still!" I shouted at her.

"Hi there!" I said to a gentleman working on some leather.

"Ho ho, hello there! What can I do for you!" He then asked me.

"Well I was wondering if you could train me in Leatherworking?" I then asked him.

"Hmm. . . Well I'm not a trainer, but there is one 2 buildings further down." He mentioned to us, then pointed in the direction we were going already.

"Alright, thank you very much for your help!" I said then started walking away.

"No problem!" He shouted at us.

So we walked for about a minute before we saw the building. There was a sign that said Sheppard's Leatherworks.

"I take it this is the place." I said to Arialle and Orion.

I opened the door, and walked in. It was actually quite nice on the inside of the place. It had racks of different types of leather all around the store. After a minute of walking around a stout old man walked up to us.

"Hello there, the name is Sheppard. How can I help you today?" He asked us.

"Hi! My name is Arthrall, this is Orion, Onyx, and that is Arialle. I was wondering if you could teach me how to do leatherworking? I'm wanting to start a profession to better myself." I then asked him.

"I can teach you, but I need a little bit of time. It will also cost 20 silver to learn the basics." Sheppard told me.

"Alright, here is 20 silver, and how much time are you thinking?" I said that after handing him the money.

"Hmm. . . About an hour. I have to get the tools all set up for it." He told us after thinking about it for a little bit..

"Alright, then we will be back in an hour!" I said to him.

We then walked out of the building, and started walking around the shops here in the Profession area.

"Hey, where is the Potion Master, or is there one?" I asked Arialle.

"You need potions? I thought you got yours a different way?" She then asked me.

"Normally yes, but I have 0 Mana Potions. I need them now since my mana is pretty high up." I told her.

"Oh alright, then follow me!" She said to me.

I followed her for a few minutes until we reached a store that had a sign that said, Kendra's Potions. We then walked inside, and there were so many potions on the walls. I can't even name them all, that is how many there were.

"Hi there, my name is Kendra. How may I help you today?" She asked us.

I turned around shocked. Cause when we walked in there was literally no one inside the store.

"Uh. . . Where did you come from??" I asked her while slowly backing away.

"Oh! I'm sorry. I used an ability that teleports me to my store." She said while smiling.

"Oh, are you a mage?" I then asked her.

"Why yes I am!" She said excitedly.

"Awesome, anyways I'm looking for Mana Potions. Do you have any for sale?" I then asked her.

"If I didn't have Mana Potions for sale I wouldn't be the owner of this store. Hahaha. . ." She winked at me after laughing.

"Hahaha. . ." I chuckled at her comment.

"Here you go, I've got 2 types right here that I'm currently selling. The other 2 I don't have enough right now to make a profit on them." She then put two types of potions on the counter.

[It gives you 15 Mana when you drink it, and then it also gives you 5 Mana per 20 Seconds for 1 Minute.]

[5 Silver Each]

[Greater Mana Potion]

[Rank -- Uncommon]

[It gives you 30 Mana when you drink it, and then it also gives you 10 Mana per 20 Seconds for 1 Minute.]

[10 Silver Each]

"Hmm. . . Well got a question for you Kendra. What would you recommend for me?" I then asked her.

"Well, it depends on your level, and how much mana you've got." She answered me.

"I'm level 7, and I have 140 Mana Points." I told her.

"But. . Aren't you a Ranger?" She then asked me.

"Yes, I'm a Ranger. Actually, I'm a Battle Ranger." I answered her.

"That explains it. Well you are low level for the Greater Mana Potion, but you have quite a bit of mana even for being a Battle Ranger. How about this, get 5 Greaters, and 10 regular Mana Potions. I'll sell them to you for 90 Silver." She told me.

"Alright deal!" I told her excitedly.

I gave her the 90 Silver, which puts me at 180 Silver left over.

"Thank you again for your help with this!" I exclaimed to her while waving goodbye to her.

"You are welcome! Have a great day!" She smiled at me after saying that.

"So we still have about a half hour left before we need to head back, what do you want to do now?" I asked Arialle.

"Hmm. . . Actually I'm getting hungry. Let's go walk up to a food stall, and buy a sandwich from them." She told me after thinking for a moment.

I then followed her to a food stall, which was about 10 minutes away from the store we were just at. She bought our sandwiches, and I bought some fresh fish from the fish market next to us. I also went and bought a bottle of milk for Onyx. Arialle, Orion, and I ate our food very quickly. Then we left the food area, and walked back towards Sheppard's Leatherworks. On our way, Onyx finally woke up hungry, so I fed him his milk. He was still drinking it when we saw Sheppard waiting for us.

"Hey Sheppard! We are back!" I told him.

"Hey there Arthrall, welcome back! Oh I see your little kitty is awake!" He said while smiling.

"Actually, he is an Onyx Panther. He will be my companion after he gets bigger." I told him.

"Oh so he is like your dragon there?" He then asked.

"Yep, Orion is my first companion." I then told him.

{{Tell Sheppard hello for me!}} Orion said.

"Oh Sheppard, Orion said hello to you." I told him while smiling.

"Oh! Well hello Orion, I forgot companions are able to talk with the handlers." He said while smiling.

{{Hi! Hi!}} Onyx said happily.

"I guess someone else would like to say hi, Onyx said hi hi to you also. Hahaha. . ." I chuckled after telling Sheppard that.

"Hahaha. . . Why hello there little Onyx!" He said after chuckling. He then patted Onyx's little head.

"Well are you ready to learn how to do Leatherworking?" He then asked me.

"I sure am!" I told him.

"Then let Arialle hold little Onyx, and then both of you follow me." He told us.

"Will do!" I exclaimed.

I then handed over Onyx to Arialle with the bottle still in Onyx's mouth. Then we followed Sheppard to the back of the area he was in.
