Chapter 39 - Let the killing begin!

"Alright, both of my quests are now showing." I told Arialle.

"Awesome! Both of mine are also showing for me. So what do you want to do while we wait for Titus?" She asked.

"Hmm. . . Not too sure honestly, I figured we could go towards the gate we came through, and find out if he is there or not. I really want to get these two quests done." I mentioned.

"Alright, lead the way then." She commented.

'Follow me guys.'

I looked at Orion and Onyx, and they shook the heads up and down. I started walking towards the entrance we originally came through. While walking we looked around at the different shops that were set up. They didn't really have anything that could catch our eyes, but we still looked anyways. It had taken us a little over half an hour to reach the entrance we came through. Once there, we looked around for Titus. We spotted him talking to the same guy he saved earlier.

"Hey Titus!" I yelled.

He looked over towards us, and then he looked back at his friend. We figured he told him to wait a sec, then ran over to us.

"Hey you two, what are you doing?" He asked.

"Well, we are about to head out, and figured we would ask if you were joining us or not." I told him.

"Hmm. . . Probably not. It turns out that the town is in worse shape than what I originally thought." He told us.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Well, it is your choice, but I figured I should mention that you can also protect them by getting rid of the wolves while out with us." I said.

"Hmm. . . That is true. How long do you guys think it will take?" He asked.

"Honestly, not sure. There are a lot of wolves left over for us! Also, we have to find the King Wolf and the Druid. How long do you think it will take Arialle?" I asked.

"I'm not too sure either. It could take us a day, or a couple of days. Just depends on how lucky we are." She mentioned.

"Hmm. . . Alright, I'll go with you guys to make it go faster. I want these wolves out of this area as soon as possible before they end up hurting someone else." He mentioned.

"Well then let's us head out now, and start taking out these wolves." I told them.

So, we headed on out. It was around noon when we left the town, so we figured we had about 8 hours left of killing some wolves. We decided to go around the town itself, and take care of the wolves that are right next to the village. We went to the right side of the entrance, and started walking in that direction. Not too long after we started walking, we ran into a pack of four wolves. I told Orion and Onyx to take care of them. It took maybe about 5 minutes for the two of them to

kill the 4 wolves.

I went to the wolves, and put them into my ring. After that, we continued walking for a bit until we ran into even more wolves. This time there were 10 of them, which in turn means we can knock two more for our first quest. I looked at Arialle and Titus, and they just nodded their heads, then disappeared. I took out 8 arrows again, and used Mult-Barrage again.

I looked at the rest of them, and what I saw didn't surprise me at all. Arialle was currently fighting against two of them, and Titus had one of them. Orion and Onyx where just finishing up the three they had.

After Orion and Onyx finished theirs, they went to help Titus. Once they reached Titus, Arialle had just finished hers also. It didn't take Titus very long to finish his wolf off either.

"Well we only need to kill four more packs of wolves. Well, at least a pack of five or six wolves." I mentioned.

"Really? We are already that close?" Arialle asked me.

"Yeah, it is kind of surprising, considering the fact that we just started this quest." I commented.

"I forgot you two have another quest to kill wolves. How many packs you two gotta kill?" Titus asked.

"10 packs total for the one quest, and then we just need to bring Vic 40 sets of skinned leather to her." Arialle mentioned.

"Oh wow. I didn't know you guys need to kill so many. So that means, you all have already killed somewhere in between 30 and 36 wolves correct?" He asked.

"Yeah, or something like that. We will know once we finish both of them." I commented.

"Well, let's not stand around and chit chat for so long. Let's keep going!" Arialle said.

"I would, but I need to go and get my arrows. Also, we need to collect the wolves." I commented.

"Oh yeah. . ." She said.

I just shook my head for a moment, then started walking towards the dead wolves. I picked up my arrows, and then put the wolves into my ring. I then started to search around the clearing we were in, to find out if there were any tracks around us. I found tracks, but the problem was there were so many of them, and sadly I wasn't able to tell which ones were fresh or not.

"Fuck. . ." I commented.

"What is wrong?" Titus asked.

"Well, I was searching for any new tracks to find out where the wolves came from, but the problem is that there are way too many around here." I said.

"Oh, yeah I can understand that. Gotta remember, the wolves have been here for over a week now. So it will be a lot harder to track them." He mentioned.

"Eh. . . True I guess. Anyways, let's head further around the town." I commented.

We started walking around the town once again, but this time we didn't see any wolves for a little bit. I was about to ask for us to take a break when I heard some screaming ahead of us.

"Did you two just here that?" I asked them.

"Yeah, let's go!" Arialle said.

We started running towards the sound we just heard. Once we got closer, we started to hear the clashing of wolves and the people of the town. We started running a little bit faster in order to reach the townsfolk sooner. Once in the clearing, we saw a massacre happening to the townsfolk. There were roughly around 25 wolves fighting 5 townsfolk. There were actually 10 townsfolk, but sadly 5 of them were either dead or just down. Arialle then got pissed and disappeared. Titus was also pissed, but he couldn't disappear like her, so he just ran even faster towards the wolves. I didn't even say anything to Orion and Onyx, they just charged in. I took out my arrows, and just started firing at the wolves.

I was shooting so fast, that I didn't even pay attention to the damage I was doing. I started running into the closest person I saw lying on the ground. Once I got there, I looked at his health pool. It was almost completely gone. I took out a Healing Potion, and pour it down her throat. Luckily her cuts and bites marks started disappearing. Once I looked up, I noticed a wolf charging towards me. It jumped right at me to try and bite me, once it reached me I put my bow up to block him. Luckily he bit the bow instead of me.

'Orion help me!' I yelled in my mind.

Orion took flight and looked at my direction, once he saw the wolf attack me he charged right at the wolf. The wolf didn't even have time to move, Orion blasted right into his side knocking him off his feet. Orion was quite pissed that he bit a giant chunk of flesh out of the wolf's throat. It got up, but was staggering really badly. Once it moved a couple of feet, it fell over dead.

'Thanks bud!'

{{Arthrall!! I need help!!}} Onyx yelled.

I looked over to where Onyx was, and I saw one wolf had ahold of his hind leg, while the other was trying to get his throat. I notched three arrows into my bow, and shot them straight at the wolf trying to get his throat. The wolf didn't even flinch, it was directly shot and killed the moment my arrows reach it. Onyx then turned his body around and scratched the other wolf along its flank. It was hurt bad enough to where it let go of Onyx's leg. Orion then shot two wind blades at the wolf and decapitated it. I looked over to where Arialle was, and she had just slain one of the wolves attacking one of the townsfolk.

"Arthrall! I need a Healing Potion!" Titus yelled at me.

I looked over to where he yelled from, and he was currently holding a guy that had his arm almost bitten off of him. I took a Healing Potion out of my inventory and tossed it to him. He grabbed it, and took the top off, then gave it to the guy he was holding up. It wasn't too much longer, and all the wolves were slain. I took another two potions out of my inventory, and gave one each to another two townsfolk laying on the ground in pain. Sadly the last guy had his throat completely chewed off. I looked around, and saw the devastation the wolves caused.

"Who is the leader of this group?" I asked.
