Chapter 51 - 51: Finally. . . Some rest. . .

[[Arialle: What is going on? Why did the cube just spit out an egg?]]

[[Arthrall: Well, that cube was made for me actually. From what the message said, the egg is supposed to help me, but I'm not really sure how yet. It mentioned the egg will begin to grow once it is time for it. Sooner or later basically. . .]]

[[Arialle: . . . What?? Who created that giant cube??]]

[[Arthrall: Someone called the Creator? I honestly have no idea of who he or she is. . .]]

"I can't believe that thing just pooped out an egg. . ." Titus commented.

"Me neither. It is a very light egg too." I commented.

"It is? Can I feel?" Arialle asked.

{Can she feel how light it is?}

[I think so. . . Honestly, I'm not 100% sure.]

"Come here, I will set it in your hands for a brief second. I'm honestly not sure if Rangers can have other people touch their eggs or not." I told her.

"Hmm. . . In that case, let's not do that yet, until we get back home. I want to ask Phillip about it." She mentioned.

"Alright, sounds like a plan." I commented.

"So, now what? Do we try to break through the cave-in from earlier.?" Titus then asked.

"I guess that is all we can do right now. . ." Arialle commented.

"Then are we ready? The sooner we get back to my town, the sooner I can get this creep out of me. . ." I mentioned.

"How is that going by the way?" Arialle asked me while we were walking back up the pathway.

"It is going alright, I can still feel it in there, but it isn't doing anything to me. It is just sitting there." I commented.

"Hmm, that is kind of weird. I figured it would have already tried attacking you." Titus said.

"Same here honestly. . ." I mentioned.

Once we got up to the doorway, we walked through it, and then we felt a rush of wind right behind us. We turned around to take a look at what it was, but there was nothing there. The doorway was no longer there.

"What the fuċk. . ." I said.

"Um. . . where did the doorway go?" Arialle mentioned.

"Let's get out of here!" Titus exclaimed while trotting through the cave tunnel that had the Roches tunnel in it.

"Hey you short fuċker, wait up!" I exclaimed while chasing him.

"Hahaha. . ." Arialle laughed while chasing after us.

"So. . . How do we get out of this cave?" Titus asked.

"Hmm. . . I'm honestly not sure. . ." I commented.

Arialle started walking up to the closest rock to pick it up. When she bent over to pick it up, she ended up falling right through the rock. She ended up with her body half way in the rock itself.

"Uh. . . What?" Titus commented while being stupefied.

"Huh. . . Must be an illusion. You alright there Arialle?" I asked her.

"Yeah, I'm alright. . ." She said while pushing herself back up.

"I guess all we have to do is walk through it then." I commented.

I started walking through the 'rock barricade', and made it out on the other side. I turned around to take a look behind me, and I saw the rocks still there. Arialle and Titus came out not too long after me, and also looked behind them.

"Huh, that is pretty interesting." I said.

"Indeed, it will help the villagers out a lot in my honest opinion." Titus then commented.

"Well, I don't know about you guys, but I want to finish up our wolf quest real quick. Let's go see if there are any left around the village." Arialle said to us.

So, we started walking towards the village. Once we were close enough, we actually heard some fighting up ahead of us. It was a pack of wolves and the villagers again, so we went in with our weapons, and defeated them pretty easily. Since we had fought in the cave for awhile, we've learned how to dodge easier. Arialle put the wolf carcasses in her ring, and I took a look at our quests.

"Alright, so we still need to gather 80 animals to skin for one of our quests." I told them.

"Why 80?" Titus asked me.

"Well, Arialle and I ended up getting the same quest. So we have to kill 40 animals to get their leathers off of them." I told him.

"Oh ok, so do you know where to get the animals from? I know this area pretty well, I could show you a few spots. I mean we can search after we finish off the rest of the wolves." He told me.

"That works for me, what about you Arialle?" I turned to ask her.

"That also works for me." She commented.

"Alright then, let's go finish these wolves up.

We walked around the town to look for more wolves, but sadly we only found two more packs of them. We ended up finishing them up pretty quickly. So we decided to go back to the blacksmith's shop to talk to Baldemar.

"Hey Baldemar!" I yelled into the blacksmith's shop.

"Hold on!" He yelled back while hammering a piece of metal.

He kept going at it for about another five minutes, then he put his hammer down, and looked at the piece of metal. After he looked at it, he shook his head, and put it back into the forge.

"Who is yellin for me?" He asked while walking out of the forge area.

"Oh, you know just the guys who cleaned out your guys' cave." I commented.

"Wait. . . What?" Baldemar looked at me with confusion on his face.

"Yeah, we killed the druid that was terrorizing your town. We also defeated the Wolf King." I told him.

"I don't beli. . ." He started to say something, until I took the Wolf King's body out of my ring.

"You were saying?" I asked while looking at him with a smirk.

"Holy shit. . ." He commented.

"I think we just blew his mind. . ." Titus commented with a smirk on his face.

I decided to put the Wolf King's body back into the ring, then looked right at him.

"You guys should be safe to start going back to the cave to mine it out. Also, there is an illusion at the entrance, don't worry about the cave-in. It is fake, that is the illusion that the druid made after someone entered into the cave." I told him.

"Alright, I'll hold a meeting tomorrow then. Why don't you guys go to Vic's Inn, and tell her the good news." Baldemar told us.

"Sure thing, later Baldemar!" I said to him while waving back at him.

We started walking towards the inn that we stopped by earlier today. I opened the door just in time to see someone yelling at Vic.

"Hey Vic, what's wrong?" I asked.

"Oh! Hey Arthrall, nothing much. Just an upset customer. . ." Vic told me.

"Hey! I'm talking to you!" The guy that was yelling exclaimed.

"Why are you upset bud? She runs this place pretty smoothly." Titus asked him.

"Because, she's charging for people to stay here again!" The guy complained.

"And your point?" I asked.

"You. . . You. . ." He stammered.

"I what? I don't understand? Look here buddy, my group is the one that went out there, and killed every goddamn wolf out there. We also killed the Wolf King. If you don't believe me, then step right on outside. We will show you!" I exclaimed to him.

"Arialle, empty your ring out there with me." I told her while walking back outside.

I walked out a good distance from the inn, and waited outside for the guy to come out. Arialle ended up coming out before him, but he followed her outside. The moment the guy walked outside, I started emptying my ring completely. Arialle also started emptying hers. We had so many animals in our rings, we could literally feed a small army for a few days. While doing all of this, some people even stopped to see what was going on. Some went to go get Baldemar.

"Now, do you fuċkɨnġ believe me? If she says the problem is taken care of, don't you think you should believe her next time?" I looked right at him with a glare in my eyes while saying that.

"What is going on here?" Baldemar came running up to us.

"This idiot decided to give Vic a hard time because he couldn't get a free room anymore." I told Baldemar.

"Alright, then why are all of these carcasses out of your ring? Also, where did you guys get the spiders?" He asked us.

"We took them out to prove to the guy on why there isn't anymore danger here. The spiders came out of the cave. There are also dead scorpions and Roches in the cave too. Just we didn't have enough room to put them inside of the rings." Arialle told him.

"Oh ok. . . Wait, you said there are dead scorpions and Roches in the cave right now? You guys have finished your other quest! We can skin them for their carapaces! I think Vic would take that as a bonus instead of leather. What do you think, Vic?" Baldemar asked.

"I do believe they have finished my quest then. If they want, I can skin the scorpions and Roches for them." Vic commented.

"Well, then I would suggest sending some guys in there to bring out the dead corpses. Is there any way we could get the meat from scorpions and Roches?" I asked her.

"Yeah that is fine!" She said.

"Also, I would like to rent 3 rooms. How much is it?" Arialle then asked her.

"Well, normally it would be 3 silver from what I gathered from the old inn keeper." She commented.

"What do you mean the lady that was here before you took over? Actually, where did she go? We saw her just a couple of hours ago." I asked her.

"Oh, she ran off. She said she didn't want to stay here anymore with the way things were going." Vic told us.

"Oh, that sucks. . ." I commented.

"Eh, it's all good. It happens. So, for you guys to stay in the inn. I won't charge you guys a thing." She told us with a smile on her face.

"WHAT!!" The guy that was yelling at her screamed.

"Why?" Titus then asked.

"Because, you guys haven't caused any problems here. If anything, you guys have solved a lot of our problems! So pick up your carcasses, and come back inside. Oh, and you can just leave town bud, you're not welcome here anymore." Vic told the guy that was yelling at her.

"But. . ." The guy started to say something.

"No buts about it. You're leaving!" Baldemar said.

The guy grumpily started walking away from us. I started to chuckle a little bit while putting all of the creatures back into my ring, Arialle was doing the same thing as me. Titus had already started walking back towards the inn behind Vic. Arialle and I then followed after them. Once inside, Vic gave each of us a ring, and we went upstairs.

"I guess just let me sleep for awhile, I'll wake up when I wake up." Titus commented while he started to yawn a little bit.

"Same here. . ." Arialle said while starting to get drooping eyes.

"Alright, goodnight guys. Talk to you all once we are all awake. Come on you two, time to go and crash on the bed." I told Orion and Onyx.

We walked into our room, and locked the door. I went and plopped down onto the bed, then Orion and Onyx jumped onto the bed after me. They instantly went to sleep, but I had to get comfortable before I could finally fall asleep.
