I walked out of my room with Orion and Onyx right behind me. We went downstairs to head out of the inn to go towards the woods. I really wanted to kill something right now. All because of my best friend dying. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he is coming to this world. It's just I wish he wouldn't have died so soon. It most definitely sucks. . . While walking towards the forest, I didn't even notice anyone around me. I was so focused on what I was thinking that I didn't realize a few people were waving at me. When I got to the edge of the town I decided to start sprinting towards the forest in front of me. Orion and Onyx looked at each other, then started chasing after me.

(Arialle's PoV)
I followed Arthrall down the staircase, and we went outside. I noticed a few people waving at him, but he didn't even respond.
"Hey guys, I wouldn't worry about him not noticing you guys. I think he has something on his mind right now. So I would like to apologize for him if you don't mind." I told them.
"Oh. . . It's ok. We understand, we have had a lot of stuff going through our minds the last week. So we completely understand that part." A lady said to me.
"Thank you again for understanding his circumstances." I said to her with a slight bow.
I went to go look for Baldermar at his blacksmiths shop. I decided to ask for some advice from him about Arthrall.
He was currently helping out a customer with a few pieces of his armor from the way it looked. It had taken him maybe ten minutes to get what the customer was talking about. After that the customer handed him over his pieces of gear, and then he left the shop.
"Hey Baldemar, you got a minute?" I asked him.
"I can spare a few. What is up Arialle?" He asked me while wiping his hands off with a dirty rag he had on his counter.
"Well, I wanted your advice on what to do about Arthrall. He isn't himself today, he seems really distant from me. . ." I told him.
"What do you mean exactly?" He then asked me.
"Well, I can't go into detail about it, but he got some bad news after we had gotten back yesterday. I just don't know what to do about it. I don't know how to cheer him up at all." I said with a slight frown on my face.
"Alright, then does he have a favorite type of food he likes? Anything he likes to do?" Baldemar asked.
"Honestly, I have no idea. . . We just met about two weeks ago. I mean, he loves the food from the tavern he stays at. I know he loves home cooked meals, but stuff he likes to do. . . I have no idea what he does like to do sadly. . ." I commented.
"Then, make him a meal he will enjoy. I believe Vic would let you use the inn's kitchen if need be." He told me.
"Alright, thanks. I'll try that." I told him.
"Well, I've got to head back and forge this guy's gear. So I'll talk with you later!" He said while walking back to his forge.
"Alright later!" I yelled at him.
I decided to walk towards where Vic's tannery was at. It took me maybe ten minutes to walk there cause I was trying to figure out what food to cook Arthrall today. When I got there, I looked around for Vic, but I couldn't see her in the store.
"Vic? You there?" I asked with a slightly raised voice.
"Coming!" She yelled from behind a doorway.
While I was waiting, I decided to look around the room I was currently in. It was a decently sized room, it had some shelves, a counter, some bins with leather inside of them, a box with leather scraps inside of it. All in all, it wasn't that bad of a looking shop.
"Oh, hey Arialle. What brings you here? I was in the process of removing the carapaces off the Roches that you guys killed." Vic said to me while she walked out of the back room.
"Hey Vic! Yeah I actually came here to ask if I could use the inn's kitchen or not." I said to her.
"Can I ask why?" She asked me.
"Well, I'm going to make Arthrall some food. He seemed pretty upset over some news he had received yesterday." I told her.
"Is everything alright? Do you need some help with anything? You can use the kitchen, just make sure you clean up the dishes you use." Vic told me.
"Actually, yes I could use your help! I don't know what to make him. He eats more than your average person, and I've only been with him for the past two weeks. Oh I will clean the dishes up, so don't worry about that!" I commented.
"Alright, well let me clean myself up real quick, then meet me outside alright?" She asked me.
"Will do!" I said to her while walking outside.
I went outside of her shop, and started trying to figure out what to make him. I thought he might like some deer meat, but couldn't figure out what else to make him. While thinking of what to make, I heard a noise behind me. I turned around to see Vic coming out of her shop.
"So, what have you thought of to make him? Anything at all?" She asked me.
"Well, I thought he would like something with deer meat in it, but that is the furthest I've made it so far." I told her about what I had thought about while waiting for her.
"Hmm. . . Something with deer meat. . ." She said with a hand on her chin.
"Yeah, I would also like to think of some sides, and a dessert for him. Just I don't know what he would like." I commented towards her.
"Well, we could always go with a deer steak for one. For sides, we could choose quite a few of them actually. I've got some recipes that I could show you if you want. Now, for dessert. There are a few options we could go with. We could go with pie, custard, turnovers, or something like that." She mentioned it to me.
"Hmm. . . Alright, well I think turnovers would taste good. Um. . . How about apple turnovers? For the sides, what recipes do you have?" I asked Vic.
"Alright, we need to get some apples, flour, eggs, cinnamon, salt, buŧŧer, and some brown sugar. Well, for the sides. I was thinking of some potatoes with cheese, soup, and some cornbread." She commented.
"What type of soup?" I asked.
"Your choice. We could do chicken, broccoli and cheese, chowder, tomato, or mushroom soup." She told me.
"I think he would like the broccoli and cheese soup. He seems to like stuff with cheese." I commented.
"Stuff with cheese huh? I've got an idea for the deer steak then. Let's go to the market here in town, and get some of the supplies we need. Do you guys have any of the stuff we need?" She asked me.
"Well, we have spices, but sadly he has them. So, we are going to have to buy everything from the market I guess." I commented.
"Well, we don't exactly have much of a market due to the wolves we had to fight. I can cut off some deer meat for us from the deer we have in the tannery, The spices, we should be able to get from the small market that we do have. We could also get the vegetables and the potatoes from there too. Oh shoot, did you find out what time he will be back? Cause if he comes back in an hour we won't have enough time to make everything." She asked me.
[[Arthrall: Um. . . Probably in about 2 or 3 hours. Why??]]
[[Arialle: No reason. Just wondering. Thanks!!]]
[[Arthrall: Uh. . . Ok. . . No problem!]]
"I think he said something for about 2 or 3 hours." I told her.
"Oh! Good! We have plenty of time then! Let's hurry and grab everything we need!" Vic told me excitedly.
We started walking towards the market that they have here. It was about five minutes from her tannery. I looked at their market here, and she was right. It wasn't very big. There were only a few stalls there, with only a few people manning them. I just ended up following her to whichever stall she needed to go too. The first one we went too actually had the potatoes we needed.
"Can I help you?" The stall keeper said.
"Hello, yes we need some of your potatoes! How much are they?" I asked the stall keeper.
"Normally they are 5 potatoes for 4 copper pieces, but since you saved the town. They are free for you." The stall keeper said with a smile on his face.
"Free? We didn't do much though. . ." I commented.
"Yes free dear. All of us are very happy with the three of you. If you guys hadn't shown up when you did. We wouldn't be here anymore." He told me.
"Oh, well thank you!" I told him.
"What else are you looking for? I can help you talk to the right stall owner to get you what you need." He asked me.
"Well, we need broccoli, cheese, apples, flour, eggs, cinnamon, salt, buŧŧer, some brown sugar, a couple of onions, a chicken, garlic powder, cornstarch, milk, baking powder, cornmeal, and vegetable oil." Vic told the gentleman.
"Hmm. . . You guys need a lot of stuff actually. Hey guys, do you guys have these ingredients?" He asked his fellow stall merchants.
"I've got the chicken!" A young teenager said.
"I've got all of the spices!" A lady across from us mentioned.
"I've got the vegetables." The gentleman next to the stall owner we were talking to said.
"I've got the cheese, eggs, buŧŧer, oil, and milk!" A lady said.
"Oh wow, how much is it all?" I asked them.
"Hunny, it is free. Like George said, you guys saved us. It's only the right thing to do." The lady across from us said.
"Oh wow. . . Thank you guys!" I exclaimed to them.
After we had gathered all of the supplies, Vic went to her tannery, and cut up some deer steak for us. She then came to the inn with me, and we went into the kitchen to start making the food.

(Arthrall's PoV)
I walked back into town to head towards the inn. Arialle mentioned that she was going to be there when I got back. I decided to stop by Baldemar's forge to find out if he could make me some arrows. I've almost lost most of them. I only have 12 Iron Arrows left. Some of them ended up breaking while I was out hunting. Some deer came running into the clearing I was at. I killed three of them, but in the process I broke five arrows.
"Hey Baldemar!" I yelled for him.
"Hold on! Be right out!" He yelled back.
It took him around five minutes before he was able to leave his forge.
"Hey Arthrall! What can I do for you?" He asked.
"I was wondering if you could make me some arrows? I've almost ran out." I asked.
"Well, you are in luck. I made 40 arrows earlier today for a gentleman, but sadly he ended up losing his arm in the fight we had yesterday. So I can sell them to you, for cheap. 10 Silver coins is all I'm asking for." He told me.
"10 Silver Coins? Isn't that really cheap?" I asked him.
"Normally, yes that is really cheap, but since you helped us out a lot. Then it is the right price for them. I'm only charging for the pieces of Iron that I used to make them." He commented to me.
"Well, thank you very much! This will help me out a lot!" I said to him while I was taking out the 10 Silver Coins.
"No problem!" He said while grabbing the package of arrows from under the counter.
I took the arrows, and said goodbye to him. I started walking towards the inn to meet up with Arialle. Once I walked in, I didn't see her, but I ended up smelling something really delicious.
"Hey Vic, are you in here?" I yelled while at the counter.
"Yeah! Give me a sec!" She yelled back from the room to my right.
"You in the kitchen?" I asked.
"Oh, hey Arthrall! Yes I was in the kitchen, just finishing up dinner. What do you need?" She asked me.
"I need a room, and food tonight for Arialle and I." I told her.
"Oh, well don't worry about the room, and the food. . . Arialle already took care of it." Vic told me.
"What do you mean she already took care of it? Where is she." I asked her.
"I'm right here!" Arialle commented from behind me.
I turned around to see her smiling at me while standing beside a table that had food on it.
"Oh, hey! Wait. . . Where did the food come from?" I asked.
"Well. . . I knew you were upset today, so I asked Vic to help me make some food for you." She told me.
"Oh wow! Thank you guys!" I exclaimed.
"No problem! Now sit down, and eat your food before it gets cold!" She told me while sitting down.
"Alright will do! What did you guys make?" I asked her.
"Well, I knew you liked deer. So we made you some deer steak, some potatoes with cheese, some broccoli and cheese soup, some cornbread, and for dessert. Some apple turnovers!" Arialle told me!
"Wow! It looks so yummy! I'm going to start eating now!" I told her.
The moment I cut a piece of the deer steak, and put it into my mouth. It tasted so freaking good, that I started devouring it quickly. While eating the steak, I started eating everything else. By the time I was done with my food, Arialle had only eaten a portion of her food.
"I still don't understand where all that food goes into you. . ." She commented.
"Hahaha. . . Sorry!" I apologized to her.
"It is fine! I know you liked it just by the way you devoured it." She commented towards me happily.
"Thanks by the way. I needed this." I told her.
"You're welcome! I know you weren't in a great mood, so I figured I could do something for you." Arialle was telling me.
"Well, thanks again. I'm going to head on upstairs and lay down. I'm still pretty tired. I just needed to go out, and take my frustration out on something." I mentioned to her.
"Alright, get some rest alright!" She told me.
"I will!" I commented to her while getting up from my chair.
