Chapter 59 - 59: Inviting Titus to come with us!

[Arthrall. . .]

[Arthrall it is time to wake up.]

{. . . What is wrong. . .} I thought while keeping my eyes shut.

[The System just told me that, it has sent Devin to the world. He will be popping up in about a day. Maybe less, maybe more.]

{Seriously! Freaking yes! Finally someone I can actually talk to that knows about me.}

I instantly opened my eyes, and jumped right out of my bed. Onyx and Orion weren't in the room with me at that point in time.

'Onyx, Orion. Where are you guys at?'

{{I'm eating right now. Just listen to Onyx.}} Orion commented to me.

{{We are currently downstairs with Arialle.}} Onyx said to me.

'. . .' Was all I was able to think at that point. Orion sometimes just surprises me with the way he talks.

I put my shoes on, then went out the room to go downstairs. After walking downstairs, I could hear Arialle talking. I turned to the left of the staircase to see Arialle talking to Vic.

"Hey Arialle! Hey Vic!" I said to them while walking over towards the table they were sitting at.

"Hey!" Vic commented.

"Arthrall! Are you feeling any better?" Arialle asked me.

"Yeah, I'm doing alright. Still a little sad over the news I got, but doing better." I told her.

[[Arthrall: Arialle, just to let you know, Devin will be in this world shortly. The system told Zoe that he would be here in about a day.]]

[[Arthrall: Yeah it is.]]

"So, Vic. Did you get all of the creatures out of the cave?" I asked her.

"Yes we did actually. When you came back last night, about an hour later they brought the last one. It was a really big Roche." She told me.

"Oh yeah, that would have been Samone." I commented.

"Well, he was quite big. I was actually able to take quite a bit of meat, and carapace from it." Vic commented.

I nodded my head, "He was quite large compared to the other ones, just he didn't last as long as they did. He was already hurt from the cavern falling onto him." I told her.

"I can tell about the size, just didn't know about what had happened to him. Well, I've got all the meat separated for you guys, and I've also got a surprise for you three too. It is a thank you gift from me to you guys. Once you are ready, come and see me. I'll give them to you, then we can go turn in your quest!" Vic told all three of us.

"Alright, thank you Vic!" I said to her while waving bye to her.

"Thanks Vic!" Arialle commented.

"Thank you." Titus mentioned to her.

After Vic left, I turned towards Titus to ask him a question, "So, you going to be staying here?" I had asked.

"Yeah, I will be staying here for the time being. They are going to need the help to get this place back up and running again." He commented towards me.

"I can understand that, they went through so much. I believe that they will need your help quite a bit around here. If I might make a suggestion, I would build a wall around the town. That way you guys can have an easier time protecting this town." I told Titus.

"Hmm. . . I believe you are definitely right. This place does need a lot more protection sadly. . ." Titus mentioned to us.

"Make sure to stop by Alabaster Town, that is where we are from." Arialle told him.

"I will! I appreciate you guys helping this town out!" He said while bowing down to us.

"Hey! Don't bow to us. We have been through a lot already, so we are considered friends now!" I told him.

"Indeed! I thought we was already friends from back when we was learning how to be ȧssassination rogues. . ." Arialle commented with a sad face.

"Oh wow, alrighty! We are Arialle, don't show such a sad face! It doesn't look good on you!" He commented very quickly.

"Fine. . . You owe me a good lunch the next time we see you, got that?" She asked him.

"I got it! I promise to get you both a really good lunch the next time I see the both of you." He sighed in defeat.

"Hahaha. . ." All I could do at that point was laugh. It was honestly quite funny watching the two of them argue like that. "So, we are going to go ahead and go to Vic's shop. Are you coming with us?" I decided to ask him after laughing.

"Nah, I've got some stuff to take care of first before I go to her for anything." He told me.

"Alright bud, just don't forget she has something for you." I told him.

"I won't! So you guys are heading out now then?" He asked us.

"Yeah, we need to head back to the Guild to let them know we are alright. We have already been gone for close to a week." Arialle told him.

"Alright, then I will catch you guys later then!" Titus said to us while getting up from the chair.

"See you later bud!" I told him.

"Bye Titus!" Arialle told him.

"Later guys!" Titus commented.

After saying goodbye to Titus, he walked out of the door. I looked at Onyx and Orion, and they were just sitting there waiting patiently for us to get going. I looked at Arialle and she was looking out the door that Titus just went through.

"Are you ready to go then?" I asked her.

"Yeah, just gotta grab the rest of my stuff out of my room real quick. Then I'll be ready." She told me.

"Alright, I'll wait down here for you then." I told her.

She nodded, then got up to go upstairs to get the rest of her stuff. While she was doing that, I decided to look at our quests to figure out how much experience and coins we would get from them.

{Hmm. . . We should be getting quite a bit of money for this. Also the experience isn't too bad either. . .}

[Indeed, you should invest in quite a bit more quests once you get back to Alabaster.]

{You think so? Alright, we will grab quite a bit more then.}

"Arthrall you ready?" Arialle asked once she came down the stairs.

"Yeah I'm ready. I was just looking at our quests. Lets go ahead and go to Vic's place first." I told her.

"Alright, I'll follow you then!" She commented to me.

We walked outside of the inn, then we started walking over towards Vic's shop. It maybe took us about 10 minutes to reach over there due to the amount of people out and about right now. Once we got there, I opened the door to walk into her shop. It was filled with quite a bit of leather and carapace from the monsters we had slain in the cave system. There were quite a few people inside already ordering pieces to be made for them. There were also about four other employees there too. Two of them were behind the main counter, and the other two were going around the different barrels moving the leather and carapaces from one barrel to another.

I walked up to one of the guys grabbing the leather out of one of the barrels, "Hey there! I was wondering where Vic is?" I asked him.

"Oh! Hi there! She is currently in the back, do you need her for something?" He asked me.

"Yes I do actually, I'm here to grab her to go turn in my quests. Also, she has something here for us." I told him.

"Ok, why don't you guys follow me to the back. It will just be easier to talk back there instead of up here with all the people here." He told us.

"Alrighty." I told him.

After that, we followed him to the back to where we saw Vic cutting open Samone.

"Hey Vic, got someone here for you!" The guy yelled to her.

"Hmm. . ." She commented while taking a giant piece of carapace off of Samone.

"Hey Vic! It is just Ariale and I! We came here to get our reward from our quests and the items you said you had for us." I told her.

"Oh hey Arthrall! I honestly wasn't expecting you guys so quickly. Alright, just give me a sec here." She commented towards us. After she said that, she managed to get the giant piece off of Samone. She then put it aside against the wall next to her.

"Alright you two, close your eyes! Also, have your companions do the same thing!" She told us.
