Chapter 64 - 64: Finally! We are Back in Town!

"Arthrall. . ."

"Arthrall it is time to wake up, also Dj get up."

"I'm awake!" I commented pretty tiredly.

After I woke up, I turned over to see Dj still snoring. I decided to push him till he woke up. Which it didn't take much pushing.

"Wake up dude, time for us to eat some breakfast, then head on out towards Alabaster." I told him while walking out the tent.

"Yup, getting up." He commented.

I walked out of the tent, and decided I needed a stretch.

"Morning Arialle, sorry if I took a bit to wake up." I told her.

"Oh you didn't take too long to wake up. I had actually only said your name twice." She told me.

"Awesome, means I'm getting easier to wake up." I commented to her with a smile on my face.

"By the way, the traps didn't get anything last night." She mentioned it to me.

"Yeah, when I checked them not too long after you went into the tent. There were only two rabbits on them." I told her.

"Well, luckily I had some meat from our raid we did. So I made everyone some breakfast from that. There is also some vegetable porridge too." Arialle commented.

"Awesome!" I exclaimed.

At this point Dj finally got out of the tent. I could hear him walking out because of the big yawn he was currently doing.

"Jeez. . . Take you long enough. . ." I commented.

". . ."

"Haha. . . Yeah I didn't even bother waking him up. I remember what it was like on the day after you came to this world. It took me forever to wake you up." She said while laughing.

"Haha. . . Yeah I remember that day too. That was the day I ended up getting Orion." I said while reminiscing about that day.

"Here Dj, some breakfast for you." Arialle told him while handing him a stick with meat on it, and a porridge bowl to him.

"Thanks Arialle." He commented.

"Mmhmm" She hummed.

"I take it, these two are mine?" I asked her.

"Yep, I already gave meat to Orion and Onyx." She answered.

"Cool. Thank you for the food." I told her.

"No problem." She said.

I started eating my food rather quickly, which in turn still surprised Arialle. Dj was kind of used to it considering we ate together a lot in my old world.

"Even though we've been together for almost three weeks, I still can't fathom how you eat so fast." She commented.

"Haha. . . It honestly isn't too surprising. He ate a lot back in our old world too, but it was just surprising to me yesterday that he kept his eating habits." Dj commented.

"Hey, I can't help it that I like really delicious food ok." I answered.

"Haha. . . You're indeed right. This food is really good." Dj commented.

"Thank you. I learned all of this from Vic the other day." Arialle told him.

While that was going on, I heard a noise from behind me.

{Orion, Onyx. There is something behind me. Get it. Just don't kill it.}

While I was still eating, Orion and Onyx instantly got up and started to creep around our camp area. I noticed Dj and Arialle looking at me, but I just silently shushed them. After a bit, I heard the roar from Onyx, and I heard the flapping from Orion. Then I heard a majorly loud roar from the direction they went to. I instantly threw my bowl and stick down, and ran towards them. I took my bow out, and took a few arrows from my inventory. I notched for arrows onto my bow while rushing towards them. Once I saw Orion in the air, I knew exactly where they were. I came barreling through the clearing until I saw a giant beast in front of Onyx. It looked like a bear, but this bear wasn't cowering from Onyx's roar. It actually decided to stand up on its hind legs. When it was about to attack Onyx, I decided to shoot it with my four arrows.

"MULTI-BARRAGE!" I yelled.

Those four arrows instantly turned into eight arrows after I let go of the string. They went straight towards the bear's ċhėst area. The moment they hit the bear's ċhėst, it was knocked backwards towards the ground. The last arrow actually missed its ċhėst area, but instead shot through its lower jaw towards its brain.

"What the hell is a Tracking Bear?" I commented to myself.

I walked up to the bear and took a look at it. It was a dark green colored bear. Its fur honestly looked like the green grass around us. I took a look at its paws, and they were the size of my head, but I also noticed one of his claws. It looked exactly like the claw mark I saw last night.

"Huh. . . So that's what it means by its name."

I decided to remove the four arrows out of the bear's ċhėst. Once I removed the four, the other four disappeared. I went to drag the bear, but it was quite heavy.

"Hmm. . . Hey Orion, Onyx. Come grab this rope after I tie it around its legs." I told them while in the process of grabbing a rope out of my inventory. I tied the rope around the bears back legs, then gave the rope to Orion and Onyx both. They started dragging the bear back towards the camp at this point. Once back in the camp, the look on Arialle's and Dj's face was priceless.

"What the fuċk. . . Why do you have a Tracking Bear with you?" Arialle exclaimed.

"Uh. . . Yeah what she said." Dj commented.

"Well, this bear has been tracking us since yesterday. Not sure about when it started, but I noticed a claw mark yesterday around one of my traps. When I looked at this bear's claws, they were the exact same. So this bear must've found us at some point while we were walking Arialle. It could have been following us, or Dj. Who knows." I told them.

". . . You mean to tell me, I could have been its meal yesterday. . ." Dj commented while swallowing.

"Yep." I said.

"Well. . . At least you killed it. I heard the roar, but it came from the direction you ran towards before I heard it. So I wasn't too worried about it." Arialle then commented.

"Yeah, it died pretty easily. I had actually sent Orion and Onyx towards it before I got up." I told her.

"So that is why they walked away." Arialle mentioned.

"Yep. Do you two want to help me skin this bear? Or do you want me to throw it into my inventory?" I asked.

"Just throw it into your inventory. We can skin it later at Alabaster." Arialle commented.

"Doesn't matter to me." Dj said.

"Alright, will do." I commented, then placed the bear into my inventory.

"Let's get the traps, the tent, and put out the fire. We need to head to Alabaster." Arialle mentioned to us.

"Sure thing, I'll go get the traps now. You two take care of the fire and tent." I told them.

After that, I went around and grabbed all of the traps. It took me about 20 minutes to get them all. When I got back, I noticed Arialle and Dj waiting for me.

"Are we ready then?" I asked.

"Yep." They both said.

"Then let's go." I commented.

Three days later.

"Finally! I'm ready to get a shower!" Arialle exclaimed.

"Same here, but first I want some food!" I commented.

"So this is Alabaster?" Dj asked.

"Yep it is, we just have to walk towards the gate, and they'll let us in. Except you for now." I mentioned.

"Arthrall, don't tease him. Haha. . ." Arialle started laughing.

". . ."

"Fine. . . Just follow me bud." I told him.

". . ."

We walked up to the gate, but we ended up waiting for about ten minutes due to the size of the line in front of the gate.

"Oh hey guys! Welcome back! Did you guys get your quest done?" The guard asked us the moment he saw us.

"Yes we did actually, we got done with it a few days ago." Arialle commented.

"Oh nice!" He commented.

"What is your name by the way? We seem to be running into each other quite a bit it would seem." I decided to ask him.

"Maxwell, Adrian Maxwell." Adrian told us.

"Nice name." I said.

"So, who is the gentleman behind you?" Adrian then asked us.

"Oh, we ran into him on our way back. He wants to join the Adventurers Guild." Arialle told him.

"Ah. . . Another one for the Guild. Good on you bud! I hope you make a great Adventurer some day!" Adrian commented.

"Thank you, I hope I can become the shield for the Guild." Dj answered.

"Ah a shield huh? Hoping to be a Warrior? Or a Paladin?" Adrian then asked.

"Protection Paladin sir!" Dj commented.

"Hmm. . . Alright, but I would suggest going to the Church first. You have to be brought in under a God to become a Paladin, then after that you can go to the Adventurer's Guild to sign up with them." He told Dj.

"Oh alright! Thank you for the help!" Dj thanked him.

"Alright, enough chit chat, go ahead inside you three." Adrian told us while pointing into Alabaster.

"Thanks!" We all three said while going by him.

"Well, he was nice!" Dj commented.

"Yeah, he is a pretty good guy. He has helped me out quite a bit already." Arialle mentioned to Dj.

"He also helped me by telling me where to go for my very first quest." I told him.

"Oh nice, what was it about?" Dj asked me.

"Killing slimes. They were pretty easy as long as you dodge them." I commented.

"Alright, let's head to the Adventurer's Guild first. We need to go turn in our quest that we have." Arialle mentioned.

"I thought we wanted to go to the church first to get me set up with them?" Dj then asked.

"Normally yes, but we have been gone for over a week already, we don't want them worrying about us." I told him.

"Oh gotcha." He commented.

We walked towards the Guild, and Dj was just looking at everything along the way. So it took us a little bit longer to reach the building.

"Holy crap! This place is huge!" Dj exclaimed.

"Yeah, but I highly doubt it is the biggest one out there. Gotta remember, this is the very first place you've been to. There are actual giant city's here bud." I told him.

"Have you been to what yet?" He then asked me.

"Not a giant city, but we did just return from Iron Rock City, but they didn't have very many people left there. It was raided by large amounts of wolves due to a rogue Druid." I explained to him.

"Oh that sucks. . ." He commented sadly.

"Yeah it did, but Arthrall, Titus, and I took care of them all. So they should be able to get the population back up there." Arialle then commented.

"Titus?" He asked.

"Yeah a Halfling Assassination Rogue. The fuċker tried killing me, but Orion and Onyx took care of him to where he was utterly confused for a bit. Haha. . ." I mentioned while laughing.

{{Yeah I didn't like him at first. . .}} Orion then growled.

{{Same here. . .}} Onyx also growled.

"What's wrong with them?" Dj asked.

"Oh nothing, they just said they didn't like him at first. Which I didn't either, but he ended up proving himself later on. He saved a few guys from the wolves, and he also decided to stay after we took care of the Druid." I told him.

"Oh ok, still can't believe you can talk to them." He commented.

"I'll explain to you later. We are here." I said.

We walked through the doors, and saw major amounts of lines going on. Faylin was doing her usual, and taking care of a few people. We went to her line, and waited patiently. Once it was our turn, we walked right on up to her.

"Hey Faylin, we're back!" I exclaimed to her.

"Oh hey! How was the trip?" She asked.

"It was very interesting. . . We ended up in Iron Rock City. It was being overrun by a lot of wolves, and there was also a King of the Wolves there too. There was also a jackass of a Druid there too. We had to fight him with his Roches he had." Arialle answered.

". . ." Faylin just stood there with her mouth agape. "I'm glad you guys came out alright. . ." She then commented after a little bit.

"Yep, it wasn't too hard though. The Druid was, but the beasts weren't." I said.

"I'm ȧssuming you guys got done with your quest then?" She then asked us.

"Yep, we are ready to turn it in too. You can see everything we did from when we left here." Arialle commented.

"Alright, let me see your rings then." She told us.

We took our rings off, then handed them over to her. Where she took them, and started watching the video feed from the rings. She was able to watch it until we turned in the other quest.

"Wow. . . You guys really had to do a lot. . . Well, I'll send someone to get Maryra over here, also I believe Philip wanted to talk to you guys. So, I'll go grab him real quick before sending someone out to grab Maryra. Also, I'm going to wait to turn in these quests until she gets here.

"Ok that is fine with us." I told her.

After that, she went to Philip's Office and told him we are back. So he came out to where we were.

"Hey guys! Welcome back! I also see you have someone new with you guys." Philip commented to us while walking towards us.

"Indeed we do, but can we talk to you privately about him in your office?" I then asked him.

He looked at me with a serious look, then nodded his head. He turned around, and we all followed him towards his office. Once in there he motioned for us to sit. He went back out and grabbed a mage to put a spell on the room to where no one can hear us.

"Alright talk." He commented.
