Chapter 77 - 77: We decided to take a tour of the town.

Back at Arialle's house, I was currently sitting down in the kitchen. Arialle was at the stove, and Dj was petting Tyson.

"So, what do we need for these quests? I've got the sleeping bags, and you have the tent. What else do we need?" I asked.

"Hmm. . . Well, we need food. You have the meat, but we need vegetables. Like potatoes, carrots, and celery. It's just I don't want to eat just stew all month. . ." Arialle commented.

"Same here. . ." Dj answered.

"Yeah. . . I don't want to eat anything but stew all month. . . I could always do something with eggs." I commented.

"Oh! Do your infamous omelettes!" Dj exclaimed.

"My infamous omelettes? I could. . . Just that is normally for breakfast. . ." I mentioned.

"So, make them for us for dinner one night." said Arialle.

"Fine, ok we need eggs, peppers, and meat to make them. What else could we do?" I asked.

"Well, do we have anything for desert wise for camping?" Arialled asked us.

"I mean, we could do something with apples. . ." I commented.

"Or cherries." Dj chimed in.

"Alright, I'll think of something. . ." I answered.

"What else do we need?" Dj then asked.

"Well, we could always pick up wood on our way over there. We do need matches though, because I really don't want to start a fire just by friction. . ." I commented.

"Haha. . . Alright, what else?" He then said.

"Hmm. . . Honestly not sure. . ." Arialle then commented.

"Same here. . ." I mentioned.

"Do you want to go out and grab the stuff now, or tomorrow? Cause if you want to wait, then we can make dinner for now, and then we can go walk around afterwards." Arialle asked us.

"I'm down for walking around. I haven't even gotten to see much of this town." Dj commented.

"I'm good for walking around. I actually want to try the alcohol here. I've yet to try any." I mentioned.

"We could always stop at The Drunken Clam if you want. Then we could walk around afterwards." said Arialle.

"Hey, can I make breakfast tomorrow?" Dj asked.

"Sure, can you also grab the plates for us?" I then asked.

"Will do." answered Dj.

While he grabbed the plates, I finished making the salad I was making. I also made some corn on the cob for another side. Arialle was currently making some steaks for all of us.

"So Arialle, what species is Tyson anyways?" Dj asked.

"You know, I've actually never looked honestly. I was just happy to have him. . . Haha. . ." She was currently flipping the steaks over when she stated that, and then she started to giggle.

By the time the corn was done, the steaks were all done too. She gave Orion, Onyx, and Tyson five steaks total. She then cut up the fish I had for Blue. She had also cooked three bigger steaks for us. After we got all the food on the plates, and put them on the table. We started eating, and it was honestly very good.

{Hey, you guys wanna stay here and rest?}

{{I can definitely rest. I like sleeping!}} Onyx exclaimed.

{{Rest! Rest!}} Blue commented.

{Alright guys. . . Haha. . . You guys stay here and rest then.}

"Orion and the others said they will stay here to rest." I commented while washing the dishes.

"Alright, that makes things easier." said Arialle.

"You guys want to leave our armor here?" asked Dj.

"Sounds good to me, since we will just be going out to explore the town." I commented.

"Alright. In that case, I'll go and take this ċhėst piece off." said Dj.

"Need any help?" I asked.

"I could use some. . ." Dj commented.

"Haha. . . Give me a sec to finish washing the dishes then." I told him.

It took me about another five minutes to finish washing them. Afterwards, we went to his room to help him take off his armor. I also gave him his clothes that we bought earlier today. I went towards my room to take off my armor, and to also put my clothes into the dresser in my room. I decided to change my clothes too. After I got done doing that, I came out of my room and walked back towards the kitchen. I saw Arialle there wearing shorts and a black shirt. Dj came out with pants and an orange shirt. While I put on black shorts and a blue shirt.

"We ready?" I asked.

"Yep." They both answered.

So we walked out of the house, and Arialle locked the door. We started walking towards the market just to see the area. There were a lot of different shops and stalls along the street. Armor, weapons, potions, plants, food, miscellaneous, and a bunch of other stuff was being sold by a bunch of different people. After we got done walking that direction, we decided to start walking towards the church area next. There were a few houses along this road, but other than that, there wasn't much of anything else. So once we reached the church area, we decided to just walk around. There were some different types of taverns, restaurants, and bakeries along the way. We didn't stop at any of them though, we just wanted to walk. We talked about a few things too while walking. Arialle was talking about her life in this town, while Dj just listened. I decided to talk about my time here for the past month to Dj, to explain to him how different it was here. After we walked for a while longer, we decided to go to The Drunken Clam. Once we reached there, it was already dark outside.

"Welcome back! Would you guys like something to eat?" a lady commented towards us.

"No thank you, we would just like some drinks." Arialle answered.

"Alright, why don't you go over towards the bar. The bartender will help you out." She told us.

We told her thanks, and then walked towards the bar. There were a few people already sitting there drinking their drinks. The bartender was standing there cleaning a mug, talking to one of the customers. When we got to the bar itself, the bartender walked over towards us.

"Hi there, welcome to The Drunken Clam. What can I get for you guys?" He asked us.

"Three mugs of Ale please." Arialle commented.

"Coming right up." He said, then went and grabbed two other mugs. He then went to the barrel sitting behind him, and started filling up the mugs. Once done, he brought them over towards us, and set them down on the bar.

"3 Silver Tokens please." The bartender said.

"Here you go!" Arialle commented after grabbing out the coins from her ring.

"Thank you!" He said, then walked back over towards the customer he was talking to before we showed up.

I took my mug and took a look at it. It honestly looked just like beer back from my world.

". . . Not too sure if I'll like this or not. . . I hated the taste of beer back from my world, but I did love the vodka we had." I commented after staring at it for a bit.

"At least you like alcohol. . . I've never had it before. . ." Dj commented.

"Oh yeah. . . Forgot you didn't have it before. . ." I mentioned.

"It actually doesn't taste bad. It was an apple flavor to it." Arialle told us.

"Alright, I'll try it then." I commented while Dj just nodded his head.

I took and put the mug up to my lips, and took a small swig of the Ale. It actually did taste like apples, and it also went down pretty smoothly. I could bȧrėly taste the alcohol in the ale.

"Wow. . . This does taste good!" Dj exclaimed.

"Indeed it does. . ." I mentioned.

"Haha. . ." Arialle just started laughing.

After she got done laughing, we started drinking our drinks. We talked for a little bit about just some random stuff, but we ended up buying another round of drinks for ourselves. By the time we finished the second round, Arialle was already tipsy, Dj was getting there, and I was still good. I decided it was time for us to go home, because I didn't want Arialle to get drunk. So we waved bye to the bartender, and then walked out of The Drunken Clam. We started walking home, when we ran into Faylin.

"Oh hey Faylin!" I yelled.

"Oh hey there guys! What are you doing out so late?" She asked once we got closer towards her.

"Oh, Dj and I wanted to try the Ale here. So Arialle took us to The Drunken Clam to try some. It tasted pretty good honestly, just Arialle started getting tipsy. So we decided to call it a night. Are you just leaving the Guild for the night?" I asked her.

"Oh wow. . . At least you guys enjoyed yourselves. Yeah I just left there, it was another long day sadly. I'm actually on my way home right now." She commented.

"Oh that sucks. . . Well you try and have a good night alright!" I told her.

"Will do hun! Goodbye!" She waved at us then left towards her house.

We continued walking until we reached Arialle's house. It took her a moment to remember that she locked the door, but after she unlocked it, we went inside.
