Chapter 80 - 80: Dj finally feels the mentality of over working himself. . .

"Oy! How much longer?. . . You're taking forever to kill it. . ." I yelled over towards Dj.

"You wanna come over here and help then?" He yelled back at me.

"Nah! I would kill it too quickly. . ." I yelled while chuckling.

". . ."

". . ."

"Dick. . ." was all he commented.

Currently he was fighting a big bear that was giving them issues. Blue and Tyson couldn't kill it with how big it was. They could only do small amounts of damage due to them being so much smaller. The only one that could kill it is Dj, which he was trying, but with a mace it is a lot harder. The bear looked terrible too, it had a lot of scratches, and cuts all over its body from Blue. While on its legs it had a lot of bite marks. Its head looked like a bloody mess, but it was still rampaging on.

"RRRRAAAAWWWWRRRR"

"Fucking die already!" Dj yelled back at it.

After he said that, he took and added much more force into his swing. When it hit, it was quite loud, but the noise that caught my attention was the subtle crack sound coming from the bear.

"I think he just broke the bear's neck." I told Arialle who was sitting next to me.

"You think so?" She asked me while watching Dj.

"Yeah, I heard a cracking sound after Dj hit it with his mace. I feel like if he did it one more time, the bear would die finally." I explained to her.

"You heard that from over here? Wow. . ." She commented with surprise on her face.

"Gotta love my Ranger's Perception." I said while chuckling.

"I guess you do. . ." Arialle said while shaking her head.

While Arialle and I were talking, Dj took a major blow from the bear, but he didn't go down. Just his shield is going to need to be repaired after this fight sadly. I could see the giant scratch marks on it. He took his mace back one more time, and hit the bear hard with it on its head again. Another loud sound came from the hit, but this time the bear's head went lopsided. It tried to move forwards, but it couldn't move. It just started to fall forwards, and started twitching the moment it hit the ground. Dj fell backwards from exhaustion, and Blue landed on the ground breathing hard. Tyson just bȧrėly walked over towards Dj and collapsed right there next to him.

"Oh my god. . . I was fighting that thing for 20 minutes. . ." He exclaimed in between his large breaths.

"Yeah you were. The downside to using a mace. On the plus side your mace can also cut the skin and muscle of anything you hit. Downside is the fact it is still a mace." I commented while walking towards him.

He turned his head towards me, but he was too tired to do much of anything else sadly.

"Why don't we rest here for a while. To give you guys a breather. I'll cut up the bear with Arialle after we set up a campfire. You three just lay there and rest alright?" I told them.

"Works for me. . ." Dj commented, then almost instantly fell asleep.

{Blue you alright?}

{{Yeah. . . Just tired. . .}} Blue bȧrėly managed to talk to me.

{Get some sleep, I think we will just stay here for the day.}

{Orion and Onyx. Watch over the group of three while Arialle and I take care of the bear.}

{{Got it!}} They both commented.

"I guess they are pretty tired. They are already asleep. . ." I mentioned.

"Yeah I guess they were, too bad neither one of us can talk to Tyson. . . He looks so tired right now, but he is trying to stay awake. . ." She commented.

"Go ahead and tell him to sleep, he may not be able to talk to you, but he can still understand you. I'm going to go ahead and start on the bear." I told her.

"Alright, I'll be right over afterwards." She told me while walking closer to Tyson.

I went over to the bear, to take a look at its skin.

'Sadly I won't be able to use the full skin, but I should be able to cut it up into sections. The head is completely mangled, so no point in even trying for that part, but I can still use the neck fur.'

I thought about what I could use and couldn't use before I started chopping up the bear. Arialle also came over to help me with the bear too.

"Wow. . . Blue did a lot of damage to the sides of the bear. . ." She commented.

"Yeah she did. . . Sadly she couldn't do much more damage to it. I think I need to get some claws for her whenever we get back. I'll ask Brondeac what to do about it. He should be able to help with that." I told her while cutting a piece off the right side of the bear.

"Hopefully he can. . . Wait. . . Blue is a girl? How can you tell?" She then asked with surprise.

"When she talks to me in my head, I get this feeling of a female voice. It is a lot softer than Orion's and Onyx's voice." I explained to her.

"Oh ok. I'm going to start on the left side since you're taking care of the right." She told me.

"Ok dokie." Was all I commented to her.

It took us maybe 20 minutes to finish cutting the bear's skin off. I decided to all cut some of the meat away for lunch for us. I also cut up some of the softer parts of the bear for Blue since she is just a bird. She can't cut up the meat without teeth sadly. I went towards the fire, and took out my pans I've got. Then I threw the meat onto the pans, and set the pans onto the fire. It took me about 10 minutes to fully cook the bear's meat.

"Arialle, go wake the sleepy heads up real quick. They've gotta eat something." I told her.

She nodded her head, and went over towards the trio sleeping on the ground. Orion and Onyx came over to grab some of the meat from me. When I looked back up, I saw Dj getting up slowly, while Blue just hopped over towards me. Arialle had to pick Tyson up to bring him over.

"Tyson couldn't get up, so I decided to bring him over myself." She told me.

"That is fine. Alright you three, eat up and go back to sleep. I'll set up the tent so you guys can get some proper sleep. Dj, have Arialle help you take off your armor, it'll be easier to sleep without it. I'll take a look at your shield when I come back." I told them.

I went a little distance away from the fire, and started putting up the tent. After I got done with that, I came back over to the fire, but Blue was already asleep after eating. I just shook my head, and picked her up. I then went back to the tent, and put her where our heads are normally at. I walked back out, and passed Arialle carrying Tyson towards the tent. I just chuckled at that site.

"So Dj, got any reason on why you guys are so tired?" I asked him.

"Yeah I actually do. . . That fight took way too damn long. . . Normally that fight should have taken maybe five to ten minutes, but it took us over 20. . . That bear was tough. . ." He answered while rubbing his left arm.

"Your arm alright?" I asked him.

"Yeah I think it is, it is just really sore honestly." He commented while still rubbing his arm.

"Here, take a small Health Potion. It should help with that part. I still want you to go and sleep though. You are still exhausted mentally." I told him after grabbing a Health Potion out of my ring, and handing it over towards him.

"Thanks bud. Trust me, I will most definitely go to sleep." He told me, then took the Health Potion and started drinking it.

"Tyson already passed out, so I put him on the left side of the tent. So please don't wake him up, Dj." Arialle commented after she came close to us.

"I won't Arialle. I promise!" Dj answered.

"Also, Blue should be in the middle where our heads usually go. So don't wake her up either please." I also told him.

"I won't! I'm going to go ahead and go to bed. Thanks for lunch. It was good even though I devoured it pretty damn quickly." He commented after he slowly got up.

"Alright, goodnight bud. Arialle and I will keep watch today and tonight. So just sleep." I told him.

He nodded his head, and walked over towards the tent.

"So we are staying here for the rest of the day then?" Arialle asked.

"Yeah, it is pointless to make them keep going. Don't want them collapsing during our walk tomorrow." I told her.

"True. . ." she commented.
