Chapter 83 - 83: Dj takes the first watch finally!

We started setting up the tent where Dj, Blue, and Tyson killed the wolves. I had Arialle go ahead, and start skinning them that way we could have the meat. I wanted to make some wolf kabobs. It sounded tasty to me.

"Hey Dj, you want to gather some wood for us? I want to start the fire for our dinner tonight." I asked him.

"Sure thing." He commented while walking away from me.

{{Hey Orion, come back. Currently setting up the camp for today.}}

{{On my way.}} Orion said to me.

"Hey Arthrall, how many wolves do you want?" Arialle asked me right afterwards.

"Um. . . Just give me the big one. It should be enough for everyone, and then some. Do you want to make the kabobs tonight?" I asked her.

"Sure, you want to cut up the vegetables that will go with them?" She then asked me right back.

"Yeah I can do that." I commented to her.

After we decided on what we were doing, I started bringing out mushrooms, onions, and carrots. I ended up only having to cut the onions and carrots, since the mushrooms were the right size. While I was cutting them up, Dj came back and set the fire up. He then walked towards me to ask me something.

"You mind helping me take off my ċhėst piece? It is so much easier when you have help doing it." He asked me while undoing some of the straps.

"Sure!" I said towards him.

While doing that, a shadow flew over me. I decided to look up to see Orion flying over. He just happened to look down when I looked up. Once he saw me, he angled himself towards the area we were currently sitting in, and came right on down. He has gotten a little bit bigger in the last few days, to the point he is too big to sit on my shoulder now sadly.

"Back up guys, Orion is back!" I called them.

Arialle and Dj looked up, and after they did, they moved away from the open area they were just in. Orion landed with a flutter of his wings in order to not come crashing down.

"Welcome back Orion." Arialle and Dj both commented.

He just nodded his head, then came over towards me. He nuzzled my hand before walking over towards Onyx who was currently sitting next to the tent. After that, Arialle went back to cutting up the wolf. While Dj was taking the pieces she cut up, and brought them over to me. I took the pieces and some sticks, and started putting them together with the vegetables. By the time Arialle got done with a quarter of the wolf, I already had around 20 wolf kabobs sitting to the side. I needed about 40 more to make enough for all of us. So I just kept making them while Arialle kept cutting up the wolf.

"Hey Arialle, go ahead and put the wolf into your ring. We have enough for all of us now." I told her.

"Alright." She commented while standing up. She put the wolf into her ring, then started walking over towards me.

Dj was already over near me, since he stayed where he was at after Orion came down.

"Here, help me put them near the fire to cook. It should only take about 20 minutes for them to cook fully." I told them.

"So, who wants to be the first to watch tonight?" Arialle then asked.

"I'll be first this time!" Dj commented.

"Alright, then I'll be second if that is alright with you Arialle." I told her.

"That is fine by me, are you sure you can stay awake Dj?" She then asked him.

"Yeah, I'm not too tired yet. By the time I go wake Arthrall up, I should be just getting tired." He commented.

"Alright then, I'm gonna head to bed then. Goodnight both of you." Arialle told us.

"I'm gonna also go to bed. Blue, you stay out here with Dj until he goes to get me. I want you to learn how to stay awake for night watch." I told him.

{{Will do! Will do!}} Blue commented.

"Alright, good night guys!" I said to them.

"Goodnight both of you!" Dj commented.
