If Alice couldn't understand something, all she needed to do was touch it with her right hand. So long as it isn't an object that could put up a struggle, her right hand would deem it a weapon and provide her with the corresponding effects.

[Weapon: Soul Gathering Tablet - Kristine Specific]
[Quality: Legendary]
[Effect: Strength +300, Mind +500, Control +500, Mana +500]
[Additional Effect:
Soul Attachment (Active Skill. You can attach your soul to this weapon);
Soul Shockwave (Active Skill. Launch a spiritual attack using your soul. The strength of the attack depends on the strength of the user's soul.)]
…
This skill looks familiar…
Alice was a little surprised when she learned of the small monument's abilities. She had seen the skill called "Soul Attachment" before, and it was even on the Radioactive Soul Stone she had smashed with her bare fists.
The Radioactive Soul Stone had been home to the previous generation's Demon King's soul. So, according to this stone tablet's name, it should be home to the soul of "Kristine," right?
Although Alice didn't know who Kristine was, since this person was using a Legendary-grade stone tablet to house her soul, she must be someone strong. After all, this Soul Gathering Tablet was only one grade lower than the Radioactive Soul Stone used to house Grant's soul.
As Alice had left the Hero's Sword behind her, she no longer had access to the Hero's Call skill. So, logically, it shouldn't be possible for her to continue hearing the voice calling out to the Hero's Stone.
However, as Alice was holding onto this stone tablet deeply embedded into the ground, she gained "ownership" over the table. So, Alice managed to hear the person inside the tablet nonetheless when the other party spoke:
"Enheria seems to have arrived… I can feel it, but why is it still so far away… I need it to come closer…"
The voice sounded just like the previous voice that had called out to the Hero's Sword. Although the voice sounded nervous, Alice found it quite pleasant to the ears.
Meanwhile, after hearing what the voice said, Alice couldn't help but turn to look at the Hero's Sword inserted into the ground some distance behind her. She had stabbed the sword into the ground before entering the clearing by herself. Judging by this situation, the soul attached to this Soul Gathering Tablet must be hoping to get closer to the Hero's Sword.
How troublesome.
After uttering a complaint in her mind, Alice removed her right hand from the stone tablet and walked back to the Hero's Sword. Then, she drew the Hero's Sword from the ground, returned to the tablet, and stabbed the sword into the ground before the tablet.
"This should be enough, right?"
Although it looked a little strange to be talking to empty space, Alice was aware that a person's soul inhabited the tablet in front of her. So, her words were directed to the person inside the tablet.
A moment later, the tablet started emitting a golden glow that enveloped the entire clearing. Immediately afterward, a hazy figure emerged from the tablet.
However, as the golden glow gradually faded, the blurry figure became clearer and clearer. When the golden glow vanished completely, Alice saw that the person in front of her looked no different than an ordinary person. Though, if one stared very closely, one would notice that this person's body was still a little see-through.
Her long light-blue hair seemingly swaying with the wind, the girl who looked relatively young opened her eyes. Then, the girl looked toward Alice and greeted, "Hello, new Hero."
The girl was seemingly pretending to look stern. Unfortunately, the girl failed to realize that Alice had overheard all of her nervous mutterings inside the tablet.
"Hello there, Kristine," Alice said, chuckling. By now, she already had a faint idea who this person in front of her was. "You must be the previous generation's Hero, right?"
"Huh? You know my name?" Kristine froze, the serious expression she put on crumbling in an instant. Then, she panicked a little as she asked, "Could it be that my real name has been leaked? It can't be, right/"
"Don't worry. Nobody else knows your real name. I only came to know of it because of special circumstances," Alice reassured with a smile. She failed to recognize Kristine at the first moment because this Hero had used a fake name while she was still in active service.
There was also a good reason for Kristine to use a fake name. Unlike Alice, Kristine was a native of this world, which meant that her family also lived in this world. Had she used her real name to conduct her Hero activities, some demons might track down her family members and strike at them to get revenge on Kristine. Hence, for her family's safety, Kristine chose to use a fake name throughout her time as Hero.
"Is that so? That's great… Although my family members should've passed away already after such a long time, I should still have some blood relatives around."
Kristine sighed in relief when she heard her "junior's" words. Although it had been over three centuries since her time as the Hero, there was no saying that some long-lived demons might come to take revenge on her surviving blood relatives.
"You called out to the Hero's Sword just now, right?" Removing the Hero's Sword from the ground, Alice looked at Kristine and asked, "Do you have some business with it?"
"The Hero's Sword is closely related to the Hero. By calling it, I was actually calling for you to come over," Kristine said while taking a glance at Luna, who stood a short distance behind Alice. Seeing that Alice did not intend on telling Luna to move away, she simply said, "The reason why I called you over is that I have something I need you to deal with. The previous generation's Demon King, Grant Morax, is most likely still alive.
"That bastard is very cunning. I initially thought that he only had gravity magic as his secondary magic, but during our final battle, I sensed that he could also use soul magic!
"Just like my present self, I'm guessing that Grant has also attached his soul to a medium somewhere, so…"
Kristine revealed all of the information she knew about the previous generation's Demon King with a serious expression. Then, she looked at Alice solemnly and said, "Before Grant revives, we have to get rid of him first! Otherwise, once he revives and returns to full strength, you'll have to face not just one, but two Demon Kings!"
Seeing the serious and distressed expression on Kristine's face, Alice couldn't help but wonder whether she should tell her the truth.
After all, she had already killed Grant with a pair of panties…
