The palace of the dancing winds was quiet. The birds that normally disturbed the silence had found reasons not to chirp. Prince Clovis sat quietly at his desk in the garden, reading over papers and reviewing all his notes. It had become a custom for him to take morning tea among the flowers and wait for her to arrive.
Though each night his Moon left just as he laid down to sleep, she returned each morning before he could leave the house. Because of this he waited for her patiently in the back dancing wind courtyard. Just like every morning, the white tigress made her way into his line of site. Seeing her yet again, those golden eyes glowing took a lot off his mind. At least now he had a partner he hoped he could trust.
"Welcome back, Moon my dear." he greeted kindly. His voice was tired, and she could tell he had not slept well. From what Kyera could tell, Clovis never really slept much at all. Maybe a few hours here or there but most his time was spent working. She sighed, giving him her best disapproving look before laying beside the pillow he had provided as her bed. He chuckled. "I swear your the first familiar to deny her bed." she stared at him for a long moment.
'You, human are the first person to offer a princess Tigress a bed with fuzzy warmth! I am covered in fur!' she grumbled at him, aware he couldn't understand but it made her feel better. She looked wistfully at the bamboo hammock strung between two trees. It was a bit small for her but… she considered it. Her cat like instincts told her go for it, but her princess self control forbid it.
"oh well, suit yourself. We have to meet his Majesty in a bit and you still need to get ready." he sighed and Kyera looked at him warily. Why did it sound like she wasn't going to like this next bit.
Two beauties came out with a bamboo mat, rolled up and tied with a pretty ribbon. Instinctively Kyera glared at it. The case opened to reveal a row of combs and a few rolls of lace. She looked at him then at them as if someone had best explain. If what was about to happen is what she was expecting this would not go over well.
The older of the two beauties flashed Clovis a flirtatious smile then pulled out a thin comb. The prongs close together. Kyera knew instantly this woman wasn't touching her. She growled softly in warning.
"Be nice." Clovis warned her and she felt the mark awaken. She couldn't harm these two… not that she wanted to. She had a feeling he would learn the difference between nice and behaved.
'Nope. Your not touching me.' Kyera chuffed shaking her head. When the girl tried to approach she began to speak.
"Nice Tigress…. Pretty Tigress lets get you cleaned up. We even have pretty bows…" she offered as if soothing a child. At this point the inner noble beast of Kyera's pride needed to be consoled. Did these people realize that was counterproductive?
At 'Bows' Kyera turned and leaped into the tree climbing just out of reach. She wasn't sure how to make her point, but this was a good start. Clovis stared at her with a frown.
