Heller said seriously, “Sebastian is dead. Lucy will be next! Please believe me!”

Ruby scoffed and said, “Stop lying, Heller. I already know the truth. The one who rescued Nelly from Sebastian isn’t you but Michael Scott!”

Michael Scott?

Ruby grabbed Heller by his sleeve. “Where are you going?”

“Are you crazy?!” Ruby said anxiously, “Do you know how powerful Lucy is now? Heller, you’re just courting death!”

Heller turned and asked with a smile, “I thought you hated me? Why do you still show concern for my wellbeing?”

Ruby’s expression darkened. “Heller, I don’t care whether you’re dead or alive! I told you, I hate you! I hated you every moment of every day during the past five years! I hate you with every fiber of my being! If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t be in this state. I just don’t want you to throw your life away and end up implicating Nelly and me!”

Heller reached out and gently rubbed Ruby on her head. With a serious look on his face, he said, “But that isn’t the case for me! I’ll tell you something The most fortunate thing that’s ever happened to me is that I met you five years ago! You’re the only thing I think about, and the beacon of hope in my life. Without you, I might have already died during the last five years! I promise I’ll never let anyone harm the two of you ever again!”
