The chariot finally arrived at the first tower called the Soul Mast Tower.
Sylvia looked up at the towering twin towers, they're more or less two hundred meters away from each other. The towers have the same elevation and appearance.
The last time she visited this place, the landscape is not like this... the structures that existed before are only two dilapidated towers, five-story high, but now the place has gotten some decent upgrade. It looks like real towers now, based on her calculations, the two towers measured more or less 500 meters high.
She can no longer see the top of the tower after they landed on the ground.
The guy assigned to her opened the door of the chariot. "My Lady, we have arrived. I'll escort you now to the custodian of the tower," he said.
"Okay," Sylvia replied and exited the horse-drawn carriage.
They went to the colossal-looking metal rusted gate.
"My lady, show the guard your pass," the escort said.
Sylvia went to the guard and showed him the necklace given by Docor. The necklace glowed upon inspection.
The guard signaled his comrades to open the gate.
Sylvia and the escort went back to the chariot and entered the place, then the gate shut behind them.
They stopped at the entrance of the tower and entered the brick structure. They were taken to the waiting room that was specially catered for VIPs.
The escort waited outside the room while Sylvia seated comfortably on the metal chair, staring at the colored gray wall, wondering when the custodian of the tower will see her.
After fifteen minutes of waiting, the door opened and a pretty woman, the same age as her, wearing a black cloak, entered the room.
"My lady, I'm sorry to inform you that Lord Mehos can't see you today because he was traveling outside the border. He has some urgent things to take care on his journey. He will see you tomorrow after he return from his trip," the woman said.
"Thank you," Sylvia said, trying to hide her disappointment.
"We already prepared your accommodation, my lady. Please follow me," the woman said.
"And how about my escort?" Sylvia asked.
"He will be taken to the room facing yours," the woman replied.
Sylvia rose to her feet. She doesn't want to stay in this place any longer. "Can you please take me to the one in charge of keeping the list of souls housed in this tower? I just want to ask about a specific soul... and then after I got my answer I will take my leave. I don't want to disturb your busy master any further," she said.
"I'm sorry, my lady. I can't do that. You're an outsider, not from this world, therefore I have to wait and obey my master's order," the woman replied.
"Alright, I understand," Sylvia said and followed the woman to the door. While walking, she was trying to control her temper. In the world of the living, she was used to always getting what she wants but since this is no longer her territory, she has to obey their rules before she can get what she wants.
They exited the room and walked into the hallway. The walls are of the same color everywhere.
After a few minutes of walking, they finally reached the end of the hallway. Two rooms are facing each other.
Sylvia watched her escort enter the other room.
The woman entered the other room, Sylvia followed the woman inside.
"My lady, this is your temporary room while waiting for my master's return," the woman said.
Sylvia looked at the color gray bed on the corner with blanket and pillow on the same color. The room was bare. It's not surprising, the people in this place don't need much for their existence. She looked at the woman that was about to leave. "Can I leave my room anytime and explore the whole place?" she asked.
The woman shook her head and replied, "I'm sorry, my lady. Guest are not allowed to wander around this area."
"Ah, okay. Don't worry, once our master return here, he will give you a tour around the tower," the woman said.
"Okay, thanks!" Sylvia said, gritting her teeth in anger.
The woman ignored her foul mood and left the room.
Sylvia went to bed and sat there for a few minutes, then she stood up and proceed to the window. She roamed her eyes around the area... nothing much to see because the whole place is dark and plain looking.
She left the window and walked towards the door when she attempted to open it, the door won't move. Her brows furrowed, confused. "What's going on?" she asked aloud.
She wielded her power trying to destroy the door, but it's not working!
The only explanation she can think of right now is that they locked her inside the room to prevent her from leaving the place, or the room itself can suppress her power.
She released a deep sigh. Since there's nothing she can do to influence their rules and regulation then she might as well lie on the bed and pretend to rest and enjoy the boring room.
She will wait patiently for the master to return because she was the one in need of information.

Back at Sylvia's mansion.
Nathan returned to the ritual room.
The maidservant bowed at him. "I'll take my leave now, my lord," she said.
Nathan nods his head. "Okay..."
The maid left the ritual room.
Nathan went to the bed of the unconscious guy and stared at his face for a long time.
Then he went to the bed where his mother lies in an unconscious state. The maid covered his mother's body with a white garment.
His mother instructed him to put her body in the special coffin if she can't return to her body after three days.
He glanced at the candles, they were burning brightly on the table.
After three days and his mother can't still return to her body, then he will decide what to do.
Since there's nothing more to do inside the ritual room and he felt bored, he might as well return to his room and sleep.
Nathan walked to the door and exited.

The following day.
A few miles from the mansion.
Corbin arrived at his manor through the teleportation process. He wants to visit his property because he's been gone away from home for a while, then he will go home to his parent's property to check on them as well.
When he entered the living room he saw Ebony combing the hair of an old woman.
Ebony looked at him and bowed her head. "Greetings to you, my lord!" she said.
"How are you? How is Anastasia?" Corbin asked and lowered himself on the couch, looking at the old woman.
"We're all fine here, my lord. Anastasia is in the garden harvesting some vegetables," Ebony replied. "By the way, this is my Grandmother Sitas. My sister finally found her, but sadly she suffered mental trauma due to a long time of captivity in the hands of the enemy," Ebony explained.
"Ah, she's the one you told me about? Your missing grandmother? I'm glad that you and your sister finally found her. I'm happy for you!" Corbin said.
"Thank you, my lord," Ebony said. She cleared her throat. "Can you allow my grandmother to stay here with me, my lord?" she asked. If the lord won't give permission then she has to leave the manor and live with her sister Menedelia in the forest. She wants to be the one to take care of their grandmother.
"No problem, your grandmother can stay here with you as long as you want," Corbin gave his permission.
"Thank you so much, my lord! I appreciated it very much," Ebony said in a grateful voice. "Are you going to eat your breakfast here, my lord? I'm going to prepare food for you," she offered.
"No need, I'm leaving now. I have to visit my family in our family home," Corbin responded and stood up. "If nothing else then I'll take my leave now," he said.
"No more, my lord. There's nothing to worry about us here, were doing great," Ebony replied.
"Good!" Corbin said.
"Ah, my lord. Have you found your missing wife yet?" Ebony asked.
Corbin shook his head. "Not yet," he replied sadly. "If something comes up, inform my men. Is he still visiting you here once a week," he asked.
"Yes, once a week, he never fails..." replied Ebony.
"Excellent. I'll go now," Corbin said.
A few seconds later, Corbin vanished from the living room.
Huge relief washed over Ebony. She looked at her grandma. "Did you hear that, Grandma? The lord grant you permission to stay here. We can continue living in this nice place!" she said happily.
Grandma Sitas smiled a bit after seeing the bright smile on her granddaughter's face.
A few minutes later.
Menedelia suddenly appeared in the living room.
"Sis!" Ebony spoke, surprised by her sudden appearance. Unlike her sister, she already detected Lord Corbin's presence the moment he landed outside the main door.
"Nice to be back here!" Menedelia spoke animatedly.
"You just arrived right after my master took his leave!" Ebony said.
"I know, I saw him! I'm glad I come here in my invisible form or else..." Menedelia didn't finish her words.
Ebony sighed.
"But what is there to get worried about? We have done nothing wrong to him," Menedelia stated.
Ebony glared at her sister and said, "Just close your mouth, please?"
"Okay, as you say so..." Menedelia replied. "I come here to visit you and grandma. Can I bring her to the garden in the backyard?" she asked permission.
"Okay, we'll go there together," Ebony agreed.
The women exited the house and went to the backyard to enjoy the refreshing green scenery, as well as the colorful flowers in the garden.
Menedelia stayed in the manor until lunch and left afterward.
