Chapter 380 - Good News!

Terros visited his place first and he was glad to discover that his plants and his animals has been well taken care of by Veronica during his absence.

He watered the plants quickly and feed his poultry, bonding with them for a few minutes.

Then he went inside the house and changed his clothing. He trimmed his beard because he was already looking like the sage of Mt. Arirang.

Fifteen minutes later.

He was ready to teleport... but where to go first? To Horace or Laura? Due to his excitement, he was confused for a while...

Then he realized that Laura needed the good news the most to boost her morale.

'Ah, I will teleport to Laura's place first - then next to the headquarter to inform Graven's men that he was already rescued and recovering at the Windless Mountain,' he thought to himself.

A few minutes later.

Terros vanished from the place - teleporting to Graven's manor.

He landed in the living room of the manor.

The servant was startled for a moment and her eyes widened in shock after seeing Terros - he has been captured by the enemy! And suddenly he returned safe and alive!

"Everyone, Grandpa Terros is here!" the servant shouted in glee.

The other servants rushed into the living room and greeted the old man.

"Welcome back, Grandpa!" they exclaimed in unison.

A servant climbed the stairs in hurry to inform the lady of the house that Grandpa has returned safe and sound.

Upstairs...

Inside the bedroom.

Laura and Rebecca were sitting on the bed, knitting baby clothes together.

They heard loud knocking at the door.

"My lady, good news! Grandpa Terros is back! He's waiting for you at the living room right now!" a female servant's voice rang in the air.

The women looked at each other in shock.

"OMG! If Grandpa Terros is here, my husband is also back!" Laura's eyes sparkled in happiness. She looked at Rebecca. "Let's go and talk to Grandpa!"

Rebecca smiled happily. "Fantastic news! Grandpa would surely bring good news about Graven because they were imprisoned in the same place!" she said.

The women rushed to the door and walked into the hallway accompanied by the thrilled-looking servant.

The women descended the staircase.

Terros was shocked to see a pregnant Rebecca walking down the stairs beside Laura. How did Rebecca arrive at the manor? Maybe she was personally admitted by Laura and how come she's already pregnant? Did she get married to someone while she has gone missing? He thought that they will be the ones to be surprised by his come back, he didn't expect that they also have a big surprise for him!

The women rushed to Terros's side lowering themselves on the couch facing him.

"Grandpa! I'm glad to see you again! Thanks God, you are safe! We're all happy for you! Where is my husband?" Laura asked straight away, very much excited to see Graven.

A thick silence enveloped the room when Grandpa failed to answer Laura's question right away.

"Grandpa, where is Graven?" Rebecca repeated Laura's question.

Terros's silent demeanor scared them.

He took a deep breath and cleared his throat. "Um... he is fine and recovering..."

"Thanks God!" Laura gushes, huge relief washed over her.

Terros scratches his head. He told Elva that he won't sugarcoat his words and tell them the truth. He can't make them believe that Graven was recovering - while the truth is... the deity is yet to find out what is wrong with Graven's condition. And he can't tell Laura about Luke as well.

He cleared his throat again. "Um... guys... listen carefully. I and Graven were rescued by my adopted daughter Veronica with the help of the goddess Elva who lives in the Windless Mountain. This goddess is very kind and already helped Graven many times. She is a thousand years old deity and a very powerful one. My daughter Veronica and the goddess are close friend..."

He paused for a moment catching his breath.

"Pleas continue, Grandpa. I'm eager to hear about my husband's situation, bad or good," Laura said, preparing herself for the worst.

Terros continues his narration... "Graven and I were imprisoned in the same place but in different rooms. But I was able to see him and according to the servants there, Graven arrived to the place in his unconscious state. Which means he didn't wake up from his deep slumber until now, even after we're both successfully rescued by my adopted daughter. In short, Graven is not dead yet, but I have a feeling that his soul is trapped somewhere and he was struggling to break free from that place. I have a suspicion that the cursed King put him in that condition..."

Rebecca's brows knitted together. "I just want to ask this...so Graven is not dead yet? Just unconscious? You mean he can't talk and move or even open his eyes?"

Terros nodded his head. "Yup! That's right!" he answered. "His skin and breathing are normal though, just that he can't talk and move his body parts. He's lying on the bed all the time without waking up..."

"Ohh..." the people around Terros gasped in shock.

Laura bit her lower lip in pain and worries, fresh tears swarmed her eyes. She looked at Terros. "Grandpa, where is my husband right now?" she asked, her lips trembling, wanting to cry.

"He's currently inside the healing room at the deity's residence at the top of the Windless Mountain. He will stay there so that the deity can study his strange illness and find the suitable method to heal him and restore him back to his old self," Terros explained.

"I understand, Grandpa. But can I see him? I just want to see him! I want to take care of him everyday, maybe if he can hear my voice everyday, he will wake up quickly," Laura begged.

'Here comes the problem,' Terros told himself, he took a deep breath. "Ah, regarding that matter, I will ask the deity's permission first. If the deity agrees to your request, I will return here to inform you," he replied.

Laura heaved a sigh. "Is it possible to bring Graven here in his residence to recuperate and the deity can come here everyday to treat my husband? That way... it won't be cumbersome if I want to visit him there everyday..." she suggested.

Terros cleared his throat. "Child, I think the deity won't agree to that arrangement..." he said.

"Can we find another physician to treat Graven's strange condition?" Laura suggested.

Terros groaned and shook his head vigorously. "Child, we can't do that. I trust this deity so much, I'm willing to trust her with my life, that is how good she is when it comes to herbal medicines. Let's not underestimate her capabilities that span a thousand years. So, in my humble opinion, she is the only one capable enough to treat your husband. I'm very sorry I can't agree to your suggestion, I hope you don't take it against me. Rest assured that I will inform the deity about your request for a visit. Maybe we can arranged a visit for you one or twice a week. How about that?" he suggested.

Laura bit her lip and pouted. Tears shimmered in her eyes. She wants to take care of her husband every day! But it's not proper to argue with the deity and Grandpa Terros. Insisting on her duty to Graven being his wife is not a good idea at this moment. Besides, they all agree on one thing and that is Graven's speedy recovery from his illness.

Since she doesn't have the power to cure her husband she might as well shut her mouth, go with the flow, and not oppose the people who have more capabilities to help her husband. "Alright, Grandpa, I won't insist on visiting my husband everyday and no need to find another physician to treat Graven. All I want is to have a chance to visit him at least twice a week. Can you do that for me, please?" she pleaded while caressing her tummy gently.

Terros smiled. "Sure! I will inform the deity of your request!" he assured her.

Laura smiled brightly. "Thank you, Grandpa!"

"Don't mention it," Terros replied, feeling relieved that Laura no longer makes a fuss when it comes to her visitation rights.

Simon cleared his throat. "Can you stay for dinner, Terros? Let's celebrate the good news today!" he said merrily.

Terros scratches his head. "I would love to! But I have some important errand to do today. Why don't we set the date tomorrow evening? So that I can stay here longer and have a long chat with you all. I'll tell you everything - regarding what happened to us in the hands of the enemy," he said.

"That would be nice! Come back tomorrow after noon then..." Rosa stated.

Terros looked at Simon.

"Tomorrow afternoon is nice!" Simon answered.

Terros looked at Laura and Rebecca. "Ladies, I know you have many questions crisscrossing in your minds right now. I'm ready to answer them tomorrow afternoon. I promise to return here," he said.

Laura and Rebecca smiled pleasantly at Terros.

"No problem, Grandpa..." Laura replied.

"See you tomorrow, Grandpa!" Rebecca said. "Give our regard to Graven," she added.

"Sure, I will! I have to go now," Terros said.

Two female servants arrived and placed the platter of delicious refreshment on the center table.

"Have some snack first before going home," Rosa told Terros.

"Thank you, Madam! I won't say no to my favorite rice cakes!" Terros chuckled with a wide grin. He picked up one rice cake and began munching on it, loving its creamy and sweet taste that melted deliciously in his mouth.

The family ate the rice cakes with Terros.

Half an hour later.

Terros finally bid goodbye to Rebecca, Laura, and her family promising to return the next day.

Terros vanished from the living room in the blink of an eye.

Rebecca noticed the sadness on Laura's face. "What's wrong?" she asked.

Laura released a deep sigh. "I missed my husband so much! I feel sad that I can't visit him everyday...." she lamented.

Rebecca rubbed Laura's back, comforting her. "Just endure a little bit. Once Graven is already cured from his condition, he will stay by your side everyday. You just have to bear the prolong pain separation a little bit longer. Okay?"

Laura nodded her head. "Ok, I understand..." She rose to her feet. "Let's go to the garden, I want to breathe fresh air!" she said.

The women left the living room and walked on the path leading to the garden, accompanied by Rosa, Simon, and Sofia.
