Terros appeared in the headquarter.
During that time, Horace and Calder were discussing how to rescue Grandpa and Graven from the clutches of the enemy when suddenly Grandpa appeared in front of them.
Their eyes grew saucer-like in shock and happiness as their heart rejoices at his unexpected return. They were still on the planning stage of their rescue operation and wow! Grandpa was already in front of them, alive and well!
Fantastic!
"Grandpa! Welcome back!" Horace and Calder shouted in unison as they rushed to his side.
"Were is Lord Graven!?" Horace asked directly.
Terros sighed and replied, "He's still in his comatose state but he's already at the Windless Mountain, currently under the deity's care."
"That's amazing news!" Horace raved.
Calder smiled broadly. "Wonderful!"
"So, let me guess... Veronica succeeded in rescuing us all?" Horace asked.
Terros nodded his head. "Yeah! My daughter is awesome! Isn't she? But anyways, Elva and Veronica was a formidable team during the rescue process. The deity lend her powerful medallion to Veronica so that my daughter can return to the enemy's territory without encountering any glitch. That's how powerful the deity is! And of course, Veronica was also brave, venturing to the enemy's territory several times is not for the faint of heart. The two women really impresses me! Their performance during the rescue process is outstanding, better than a thousand soldier! No offence, guys!" he joked.
Calder and Horace clapped their hands in glee impressed by the women's bravery and dedication.
"Girl power at it's finest!" they applauded in unison.
Calder was shaking his head in amazement. "Whoa... I can't believe that it only took two women to stage a successful rescue! I'm mind blown!" he said.
Terros grinned and said, "And one more good news! Veronica also rescued Luke's spirit who take over the body of the vampire woman's youngest son..."
Horace's face registered shock. "Wow, really-? I understand now why the young lord wants to save you and Veronica. He was Lord Luke's spirit inhabiting the young man's body! Before, I was confused and curious why would he wants to marry Veronica, that's because he wants to save her as well!"
Terros smiled. "Yeah, that's right, son! Luke take over the body of the enemy's youngest son who has been comatose for many years. Luke also plays a big role in making sure that Veronica will succeed in her last mission to save the three of us."
They looked at each other in awe.
Terros smiled. "I'm so happy to see you again, guys! I thought I will never be able to return here," he said, teary-eyed.
Horace patted Terros's shoulder and said, "Welcome back, Grandpa! We're happy to see you again. You have no idea how happy we are right now after discovering that everyone is safe already after undergoing such a horrible ordeal in the hands of the enemy."
"Stay with us for a few minutes, Grandpa. I will make you a cup of hot coffee," Calder offered.
"As much as I wanted to, I can't. Veronica instructed me to buy some groceries from the market," Terros replied.
"That's not a problem, give me the list. I'll have someone buy it for you. Just stay here with us while waiting for the grocery to arrive," Horace offered.
"That's good, son!" Terros smiled and handed to him Veronica's list.
Horace accepted the piece of paper and instructed one of the servants to buy the stuff in the market.
A few minutes later.
The men gathered around the table and sipped their coffee, discussing the events before and after the rescue.
One hour later.
They were on their second cup of coffee when the grocery finally arrived.
Terros stood up. "I gotta get going, guys! See you in the next few days!" he said and picked up the grocery bag.
"When can we visit Lord Graven?" Horace asked.
"Yes... we want to see Lord Graven!" Calder interjected.
Terros sighed. "Guys, even Laura has to make an appointment first. I really dunno when Graven is free to have a visitor. As you can see... the goddess will be very busy starting today and in the coming days to concoct medicines that can help Graven overcome his strange illness. It's better that we don't disturb her so that she can concentrate on her task. Just not right now, no visit allowed for a few days. Don't worry, I'll come here often to keep you updated with Graven's condition and progress. Okay - guys?"
Horace and Calder nodded their heads.
"We understand, Grandpa!" Horace finally said.
"Thanks for sharing the goods news to us!" Calder spoke.
"Don't mention it. I know that your lord's safety concerns you all. I came here right away, so that starting today, your mind can rest from the mental torture. Now that Lord Graven is back, let's hope for the quick restoration of his good health," Terros said.
"I wish Lord Graven a speedy recovery!" Calder said.
"Me too!" Horace replied.
"Guys, I'll get going now. See you again soon!" Terros said.
"Bye, Grandpa!" the men replied in unison.
Terros nods his head and vanished from the place in the blink of an eye.
A few minutes later.
He appeared at the terrace of the Windless Mountain.
Veronica was watering the plants in the garden.
"Daughter, I'm back! Hope I'm not late!" Terros announced.
Veronica smiled and stopped her activity. "You just arrive in time, Grandpa! I'm now going to prepare the dishes for dinner," she said.
Terros handed her the grocery bag. "How it's going?" he asked.
"You mean, Graven and Luke?" Veronica said.
"Yeah..."
"Elva is still in the healing room. I haven't visited there yet," Veronica replied.
"Ah, I see... Is it okay to disturb Elva even for a few minutes? I just want to see the boys condition," Terros said.
"Sure! Let go together. I'm also curious with Elva's progress," Veronica replied.
They entered the door and proceed to the kitchen to drop the groceries, then they continue to their destination.
They arrived at the healing room and knocked at the door a few times.
"Come in! It's open..." Elva said.
Terros pushed the door open and they stepped inside the healing room.
"How it's going, goddess?" Terros asked curiously, he glanced at the men lying on the bed.
"Luke will wake up anytime soon, he's already actively trying to move his body parts. Let's just give him enough time. A few hours from now, he can finally sit upright on the bed," Elva replied.
"And how about Graven?" Terros asked.
"I'm still observing his condition. I already fed him with one of the elixirs that I have concocted previously. Let see how his body will react to my medicine," Elva replied.
"Thank you so much for your hard work and effort, goddess. We're forever indebted to you," Terros said in a grateful voice.
"Don't mention it. I'm glad to be of help to you, guys," Elva responded.
"Um... I volunteer to watch over the men while you sleep and take your rest," Terros offered.
"Alright, you may start now. I'll just go to my room and take a nap for a few minutes. If something comes up with the boys, don't hesitate to knock on my door," Elva said.
"Aye, goddess!" Terros replied with a smile.
Elva nods her head and leave, going to her bedroom to rest. She arrived in her room, went straight to bed, and lie down.
She stared at the ceiling for a while.
She has been alone most of the time, but now she got herself involved with these people who depended on her kindness and her capabilities. It's kind of tiring sometimes but also rewarding and satisfying every time she helps save people's lives and helps them overcome their problems and difficulties.
And the best thing about her current condition, she's going to have a baby soon! A baby who will call her 'mother' a few years from now.
She giggled happily, she find it exciting to be a mother! Thanks to Graven! He made her see what she's been missing her whole life. She will never be alone again because her unborn child will bring endless sunshine in her life that will last for many centuries to come.
She's looking forward to giving birth to her unborn child, soon!
She shut her eyes to sleep in a happy mood.
...
Back in the healing room.
Veronica looked at Terros. "I'll be at the kitchen to prepare dinner. If you need assistance, just call my name," she said.
"Okay," Terros replied.
Veronica left the room.
Terros looked at the twin brothers, so alike in many ways, unfortunately, they fall in love with the same woman.
But things will get better from now on because Luke is ready to move on. Earlier, when he was talking to Laura, he was debating if he will mention Luke to her. But he stop at the last minute after he remembered that at some point in the past, Luke kidnapped Laura and imprisoned her in his manor against her will.
He knows that Laura hated Luke with every fiber of her being because of what he had done to her in the past. Whew... what a complicated situation the brothers are in just because of one woman!
But anyway, it's all in the past now. He hoped the twin can finally settle each other's differences and Luke will be able to find his soulmate. If that happens, hopefully, one day, Laura can finally learn to forgive Luke.
Sighing, he went to Graven's side and whispered. "Son, you know what-? I went to the manor and informed the people there especially your wife that you're finally rescued and recuperating here in the Windless Mountain under the goddess's care. I also informed Horace and Calder of your current condition. Everyone is happy after they learned of your safe return. They all wish you a speedy recovery. Get well soon, son! We miss you so much!" he said, misty-eyed. His biggest fear is that Graven might not be able to wake up and overcome his strange illness, which would devastate everyone who wished for his speedy recovery.
He released a deep sigh, feeling emotional.
He cleared his throat and continue. "I have another good news for you! I saw Rebecca, heavily pregnant and living in your manor together with Laura. Rebecca is finally back! The two most important women in your life are now living under the same roof safely. Isn't that nice?"
He stopped for a moment.
Still no movement on Graven's body.
Out of the corner of his eyes, Terros saw movements in Luke's bed. He rushed to his side.. That's the defining moment when Luke opens his eyes for the first time after his soul successfully returns to his body.
