"Y-you... why should I even believe you? Y-you're bluffing!" Khaknur said in an attempt to sound confident that Rhash was bluffing
Unfortunately, no matter who heard his tone, they would realize that he is far from feeling confident
His tone already sounds like he is in fear which was understandable. Khaknur greatly loves his life and he doesn't want to die which might possibly happen if the human authorities were to catch him
"Then do you want to bet? If you want to then I'll immediately send a message to my comrades. But if not, remove that wall right this instance!"
Rhash can't drag things out or Reif might die due to the lack of oxygen. He needs to play with Khaknur
Rhash acted confidently even though he does not really have any comrades outside. Even the magic circle he had created was not real
The magic circle was purely made from mana and it doesn't have any function at all
Times like this makes Rhash thankful that in this world, magic uses the power of imagination
As long as Rhash has imagination and he can control his mana to a certain extent, even creating a magic circle that doesn't have any function is possible
But of course, using pure imagination has limitations and higher leveled enemies wouldn't be fooled at all
However, this was enough to fool Khaknur. This spider was not only a coward but also stupid
It was easy for people to fool him if they want to just like what happened at Reif's previous life...
"W-wait! D-don't! I-I'll do as you say!"
As Rhash expected, Khaknur immediately gave up. This man loves his life the most and he wouldn't dare risk it
Since Rhash don't look like he was merely acting, Khaknur believes him and the solidified wall turned back into spiders that moves away to clear the entrance
"I-I cleared it now. You better not tell me to the authorities!"
Without the solid wall, oxygen can freely enter the cave again and Reif's situation starts to get better although he was still a bit dizzy due to the lack of oxygen
However, Rhash wouldn't let this situation end like this. A plan brewed in his mind and he threw the magic circle in his hand outside of the cave
"W-what's that? What do you plan on doing?!" Khaknur asked nervously and Rhash smirks
Although Khaknur is hiding, Rhash knew that the spider can see him
"I sent a message to my subordinates about you but fear not, I ask them not to immediately report you and only do so if I don't send another message for at least six hours" Rhash 'explained' with a smirk even though he was completely bluffing
"T-this is not what we agreed on!" Khaknur complained but it entered Rhash's right ear and came out into his left ear
"I know but what are you going to do about it?" Rhash asked and a long silence appeared in the cave
With Khaknur's cowardly nature, he surely wouldn't fight Rhash. This guy is a total pushover!
"W-what do you want? Just leave me alone!" Khaknur gave up. At this point, he would be willing to do everything he can just to prevent Rhash from reporting him
"First of all, come out first. If not, I will really report you!"
"Absolutely not!" Khaknur immediately answered but since he was a pushover, it won't be hard for Rhash to force him
"Then so be it. I'll just have my subordinates come here and help me while also reporting you. Let's see if you can leave this cave alive!"
A threat to life is Khaknur's greatest weakness and he almost cried tears of blood
"Human! You are despicable!" Khaknur cried out
"Who said I am a human?" Rhash was previously a human but his body isn't a human anymore
Besides, he has a lot of negative views against humans and since the situation allowed it, he doesn't want Khaknur to think that he is a human
"Fine, fine! You are not a human since you are the devil itself!" Khaknur gave out before a large shadow appeared in the cave wall
The shadow reached even the ceiling and it can intimidate most people but Rhash is different
He lowered his head from where the shadow was coming from and in the ground, a small spider can be seen
This spider was larger than the others but be was still small. Only a few inches tall at most
The creature that appeared has a baby human head with a spider's body. Rhash can't help but feel some disgust as a man from the modern era
Even then, his expression of confidence never disappeared even after Khaknur arrives
The small spider with a small baby human head is precisely Khaknur. Just like a child, he was timid and cowardly
In Reif's past life, he also fought with Khaknur. However, it was not because they have enmity with each other
When Reif starts a career as an adventurer, he was performing well since he has the talent for magic
That in itself is good but there are bound to be people that would get jealous
Reif was performing too well for his own good. Even though he was a newbie, he outperformed his seniors from the party that he joined
That makes people jealous of him and as a result, they pushed him into danger
Reif's party members made him drink poison. When he passed out, he was sent into the woods
And when Reif woke up, he found out that he was already about to become an incubation tool for spiders
Fortunately for Reif, the pain from betrayal force his chaos power to go out of control
The power inside him went on another rampage and it immediately killed tons of spiders
At first, Khaknur thought that it was just the last struggle before dying but he was incorrect as Reif killed all the spiders coming into him
Since Khaknur is a coward, he immediately gave up and left Reif alone
Rhash still remembered that scene since it was one of the greatest betrayals to Reif
He thought he finally made good friends but in the end, they betrayed him just because of jealousy
If not for that, Rhash wouldn't realize that the one he was fighting with was Khaknur
Out of the people that made Reif suffer, Khaknur isn't bad. He just thought that Reif is dying and planned on using him as nutrients for his minions
When Reif showed some power, Khaknur immediately gave up. If Reif wasn't plotted against, he might not meet Khaknur his whole life
However, even then, Khaknur still tried to harm Reif both in the past and present
Even though it was not enough to warrant Rhash's utmost hatred, he still needs to avenge his little gem
"You little spider, you finally showed yourself" Rhash said while cracking his fingers
The little spider immediately flinches and he backs away for a few meters
"I-I come with peace in mind! Don't hurt me!" Khaknur pleased while almost crying
Even though he was currently stronger than Rhash and Reif combined, he was still the one that is afraid
"If you don't want to get hurt, let's make a contract stating that you will never hurt me or my Reif"
"B-But I don't have a contract scroll with me"
A contract scroll, it was a magical item. Once two or more parties agreed on something, the scroll will cast magic in them
If they were to go against the contract, the magic would immediately kill them. But of course, this wasn't absolute
Scrolls have different levels and it mostly corresponds to the ranks of adventurers
If a person is strong enough, they can resist the scroll's power. But for now, a scroll is the only thing that Rhash can rely on to make sure Khaknur won't hurt him and Reif
"Don't fool me! I know you have a B rank Contract Scroll. Use it now if you don't want to die"
B rank scrolls are certainly expensive. After all, it has the power to kill a B rank adventurer
Coincidentally, Khaknur has the power that most B rank adventurers have. Thus, only B rank scrolls and above can be used towards him
"H-how did you know that?" Khaknur asked while shuddering and Rhash almost smiled
In truth, he doesn't really know if Khaknur has such a scroll. He was just testing his luck since only B rank scrolls can be used
However, to Rhash's luck, Khaknur really has the scroll. This is a piece of good news, with that scroll, he won't need to worry about Khaknur anymore
"How I know doesn't matter. Take it out and use it" Rhash answered and he saw how unwilling the little spider was
"T-this scroll is very precious. C-can we not use it?"
Khaknur obtained the scroll by pure luck. How can it be easy for him to use it?
