Lady Melissa had a great night sleeping and it was as if all her worries had just disappeared or maybe Lady Melissa was just being weirdly happy and ignoring all her problems because she was too excited for the meet up with Duke Gaston.

Though she was almost one hundred percent sure that Duke Gaston would accept her offer, she was still undoubtedly nervous and scared, besides there was always a chance that Duke Gaston would reject her offer, even if the chance was little it was still a chance.

And Lady Melissa's overthinking had made the situation worse in her eyes.

'Hopefully he'll accept my offer'

Lady Melissa thought she desperately wanted him on her side, he would be an incredibly great ally.

And his monotone personality was kinda cute too.

Lady Melissa thought to herself, before fanning away those thoughts from her head,

Her ears went red a little, Lady Melissa admits that Duke Gaston Berniece Mieth was good-looking.

But...did she just seriously call him cute?

'Great now I'll keep thinking of the word cute whenever I see him again.'

And that could lead into Lady Melissa blushing like a tomato.

Lady Melissa also had a habit of her ears being red when she was really embarrassed or flustered.

She had discovered that little trait of hers in her past life.

It was a little habit of hers that no matter what she did, she couldn't fix it.

Lady Melissa's ears had often gone red with embarrassment when the noblewomen in her past life had made fun of her.

She was embarrassed, and they didn't only make fun of her once, they kept doing it over and over and over again.

Lady Melissa's smile was replaced by a frown the instant she had started thinking about the noblewomen that had made fun of her.

Lady Melissa didn't vividly recall the faces and names of the noblewomen who made fun of her, but if any one made fun of her in this life.

She promised to make their lives a living nightmare and humiliate them, at any chance she could have.

Lady Melissa just wanted to have friends; though life wasn't as perfect as she thought it would be.

Life was an agonizing pain in the ass for many of us, we have to work hard to get our way to the top.

And being naive? That could be a bad trait too with the wrong people, you could be backstabbed.

That was at least what Lady Melissa's naive-self had experienced in her past life.

But Lady Melissa learnt from her mistakes, she learnt to do better.

To cherish everything that she couldn't in her past life, and most importantly to not make the same mistakes.

Lady Melissa WOULDN'T make the same mistakes, no matter what.

Though she would never know what the future would hold for her.

All she could do?

Just hope that by some miracle, she would be able to take her revenge against the Crown Prince.

Lady Melissa couldn't stand the Crown Prince at all, now this would be undoubtedly unfair since it was the Crown Prince in Lady Melissa's past life that betrayed her.

But it wasn't as if the Crown Prince in this life was innocent either.

So it wasn't unfair to say that the hate Lady Melissa had for the Crown Prince right now was unreasonable.

Although Lady Melissa hated her mistakes, at the same time she loved them.

She had a love-hate relationship with her mistakes, they were flaws to her.

But at the same time she was happy she made a mistake, so now she could prevent herself from making the same mistake.

She was thankful for her mistakes because she had a second chance at life, but at the same time she absolutely hated them.

If Lady Melissa had never loved the Crown Prince this all would've never happenned, these were the thoughts that had been haunting her for the first few days she had her second chance at life.

She blamed it all on the Crown Prince, her resentment towards him was just too much.

Though luckily now she didn't have any more pessimistic thoughts as it wouldn't be the best for both her mental health and well being.

However just sometimes, such pessimistic thoughts would come to haunt her mind yet again.

And all she could do was just clench her knuckles in both anger and sadness at the Crown Prince and her past actions.

She was grateful that she had friends and family now, and she never realized that it was so much easier than she had thought to socialize.

The Lady Melissa in the past life would be absolutely delighted and stunned seeing how courageous Lady Melissa was in her second life.

Whenever Lady Melissa was demotivated she would just think about how the past Lady Melissa would react to Lady Melissa now.

She was sure that the past her would be in tears from the joy seeing how courageous and free Lady Melissa had now become.

Lady Melissa had longed for freedom and courage when she was in her past life, she had missed so many opportunities because of her lack of courage.

Lady Melissa had missed all kinds of things because of her lack of courage such as a parent-daughter relationship where they could've conversed and talk normally to each other everyday.

Or perhaps a chance at making friends. That was why in this life, Lady Melissa was much bolder and took much more initiative than she had ever done so in her past life.

After all, we only live once, so it's best to take advantage and cherish all of our moments, even the little and unimportant ones.

As the saying goes 'You only live once so make the best of it' Lady Melissa had read that saying from a random book and she had often pondered about it when she was reluctant to speak up or do something.

She needed to remember that she had only one shot at her rebellion against the Crown Prince, and that she should make the most of it.

That she should cherish all those little moments with her family and loved ones.

Speaking of which, Lady Melissa was absolutely excited for Lady Celine Candice Mendora's tea party, it was just another day or two before it.

She was excited as well for her meeting with Duke Gaston Berniece Mieth tomorrow.

Sooner or later she would find out that the meeting would be the start of everything.
