Lady Melissa took the dagger, quickly trying to hit Duke Mason's arms, or legs, making sure that she didn't hurt him too much or any of his vital points at that matter; she didn't want to kill him yet.

Duke Mason blocked Lady Melissa's hits quickly, before giving her a punch of his own, which Lady Melissa blocked with her free hand.

After a few more minutes of fighting, Lady Melissa had managed to hit Duke Mason on his hand, with her dagger.

"I win now."

Lady Melissa proudly said, a smile on her face.

Duke Mason however quickly punched Lady Melissa in her stomach, suprising her.

"I think you meant that I WON."

Duke Mason arrogantly said.

"Fine, I guess you win this round."

Lady Melissa said, rolling her eyes.

"We should start ordering food now."

Lady Melissa said, her stomach growling.

"Don't worry I got it covered."

Duke Mason said before snapping his fingers, and suddenly steak had appeared on their empty table, along with some red wine.

"Is the steak medium well? Well done? "

Lady Melissa asked, staring intensely at the steak.

"Oh it's medium well, but I can always make it well done if you want."

Duke Mason replied.

"Oh okay."

Lady Melissa quickly took the fork and knife beside her, and aggressively cut the steak, quickly eating it.

"Slow down Lady Melissa, don't choke on it."

Duke Mason said, surprised at Lady Melissa eating the steak so fast.

"Don't worry, I'll choke on something else instead."

Lady Melissa said, winking, taking a sip of the red wine, before actually choking on red wine.

"Oh wow."

Duke Mason said, laughing at Lady Melissa,

"Have I ever told you how much I hate you?"

Lady Melissa said, after finishing choking on the red wine.

"Aww I love you too."

Duke Mason said, giving Lady Melissa a flirtatious smile, almost giving Lady Melissa a heart attack.

"Who doesn't love me?"

Lady Melissa said, trying to brush off Duke Mason's comment.

"Anyways, let's discuss the crown prince, wait before that have you made sure that everything's soundproof?"

Lady Melissa asked, whispering to Duke Mason.

"Don't worry Lady Melissa, I'd never forget such an important detail."

Duke Mason said.

"Alright so since you decided to meet me about the crown prince, what is it that you want to ask?"

Lady Melissa bluntly asked.

"Well, we can discuss that later, all I want to discuss right now is you."

Duke Mason said, giving Lady Melissa another flirtatious wink once again.

"Yeah, no."

Lady Melissa coldly said, ignoring Duke Mason's flirtatious comment.

"So, what do you want to ask Duke Mason?"

Lady Melissa asked.

"Well, for starters I'd like to know if there are any other people involved in this plan of yours."

"There's two other people other than you, I'll introduce them to you later."

"Oh alright then, moving on to the next question. Are you single?"

Duke Mason eagerly asked.

"I can be single if you want me to."

Lady Melissa winked.

"But yeah, I'm single. Moving onto the next question."

Suddenly Duke Mason laughed, surprising Lady Melissa.

"You should become a comedian."

Duke Mason jokingly said.

"You're the first person to make me laugh in a really long time."

Duke Mason said, with a smile on his face.

"Thanks..?"

Lady Melissa asked, not knowing how to respond to Duke Mason.

"Your welcome, now moving onto the next question. How'd you know my identity?"

Duke Mason asked, curious.

"Everyone knows that you're one of the most influential men in the capital, I just had to do a little bit of digging."

"I'm pretty sure I've made myself untraceable to even my own employees."

Duke Mason confidently said.

"Are you sure about that? Some sources told me about your identity, but well if you believe your employees, sure."

Lady Melissa was telling the half-truth to Duke Mason, she didn't exactly specify which sources had told her about his identity.

"Well thanks for the information Lady Melissa, I'll make sure to keep an eye out on my employees."

Duke Mason said, thanking Lady Melissa.

"Always remember Duke Mason, keep your friends close; but your enemies even closer."

Duke Mason was confused now, why had Lady Melissa brought up a completely different topic? But he quickly brushed it off.

"I agree Lady Melissa,"

Duke Mason quickly responded.

Just as Lady Melissa was about to say something, the 'fake' Lady Melissa telepathically talked to Lady Melissa.

`Greetings Melissa, I have talked to the lesson teachers like you usually do. However the teacher is asking me the question about a formula, could you perhaps help answer it?'

The 'fake' Lady Melissa asked.

'Sure.'

Lady Melissa quickly responded.

'What is the formula for a straight line?'

The 'fake' Lady Melissa asked.

'It's y=mx+c.'

Lady Melissa quickly responded.

'Okay thank you.'

The 'fake' Lady Melissa said, before going back to answer the teacher's question.

'Oh yeah and m is the gradient, and c is the y-intercept, x and y are variables.'

Lady Melissa said, to which she received no response from the 'fake' Lady Melissa.

"Now, what were you saying, Duke Mason?"

Lady Melissa asked, completely forgetting what they had been discussing about.

"Oh yeah, my next question, why, out of all people did you choose me?"

Duke Mason asked, curious to find out.

"Well, you're one of the most influential men in the capital, and you're a sweet talker so if you were on my side, things would definitely go smoother."

Lady Melissa said, explaining to Duke Mason.

"That makes sense, I have quite the smooth tongue after all."

Duke Mason said, sticking out his tongue to Lady Melissa.

"This is why you're single."

Lady Melissa jokingly said.

"I'll have you know I'm the hottest man in the capital, at least I'm single and wanted, unlike someone."

"Yep, I can definitely see why you're single."

Lady Melissa responded, looking Duke Mason up from head to toe.

Lady Melissa took the last piece of steak on her plate, before chewing it and swallowing it.
