Lady Melissa put the letter in an envelope, planning to probably tell Sophia to deliver it to her parents later or tomorrow depending if she met Sophia, for now she would just keep the letter in one of her drawers.

Lady Melissa went downstairs, she planned to eat breakfast first before confronting Duke Mason about the incident that had happened yesterday.

Since she couldn't exactly do that on an empty stomach, she needed some energy to even get through the day.

Soon after Lady Melissa arrived at the dining table, with no one in sight, neither the servants nor maids were there.

Though, soon after a maid quickly came to get Lady Melissa's order for today's breakfast.

Lady Melisa ordered blueberry pancakes, a favourite of Baron Kevin's. It was his favourite food which Lady Melissa had disliked.

For today though it was a special occasion, she wanted to be reminded of all the memories she had with Baron Kevin.

Lady Melissa patiently waited for her blueberry pancakes, reminiscing of the childhood memories she had with Baron Kevin.

She had calmed down from everything that had happened just a few hours ago, it wouldn't help if she just cried.

Of course she was still sad and dismayed at the death of one of her closest friends, and the fact that she had murdered somebody but there was nothing she could do about it.

So she decided that all she could do was to simply accept the fact and just move on with her life.

She wouldn't be benefitting from anything if she just continued to cry and regret her actions, which she of course regretted.

Lady Melissa was however soon snapped away from her thoughts as the maid from earlier had come back, this time with a dish in hand to which Lady Melissa assumed was hers.

The maid slowly put down the dish, her right hand taking the dish down from the tray that she was holding using her right hand.

Before finally the dish had safely arrived in front of Lady Melissa's body as the maid took the utensils from the tray, and a glass of water as well.

Quickly taking the tissue and napkin as well before placing them all beside Lady Melissa's blueberry pancakes which she was not so eager to try out.

The maid quickly left soon after to carry on the day with the chores she had to do in the Shayla estate.

Lady Melissa took a fork before glancing at her pancake, her face filled with disgust and she scrunched up her nose.

Although there was no doubt that the chef of the Shayla estate was a talented one, some dishes even he could not make it taste better.

Lady Melissa took her knife, with her right hand and the fork in her left hand, as she slowly and gently cut the pancake into smaller pieces.

Maybe she was just being a tad bit dramatic with eating pancakes, but she could be a drama queen every now and then….

Lady Melissa took one of the small slices of the blueberry pancake, slowly opening her mouth as she closed her eyes to taste the blueberry pancake.

Her nose and mouth both already scrunching in disgust imagining how the blueberry pancake would taste like.

Lady Melissa was regretting this decision of hers with every bite she took from the blueberry pancake, wanting to puke the food out.

Though she wasn't feeling any drawbacks from the blueberry pancake, it just didn't fit her expectations of it….she thought that maybe the chef's amazing cooking would make it seem more delicious.

Yet, to no avail it didn't, sometimes even the most talented people cannot do something and we have no choice but to accept it.

After what had seemed like centuries to her, Lady Melissa had finished eating all of the blueberry pancakes.

Luckily for her, the pancake wasn't that big so she didn't have to waste that much time on eating the pancake.

Lady Melissa smiled, before she remembered she hadn't told Duke Mason about where she would even be meeting him-.

No, she hadn't even told him that she was going to be meeting him, Lady Melissa rushed upstairs, opening the door as she frantically figured out what to do.

Lady Melissa ran to her desk, maybe she could give him a call?

Lady Melissa thought, numerous ideas floating through her head on a few ways how she could communicate to Duke Mason.

'I could try giving him a phone call a few times and if he doesn't pick up I can just perhaps go to his place?'

Lady Melissa thought, trying to figure out some ways how she could contact Duke Mason. She needed to do this today after all.

'I've never been to his house before though, so I don't even know what it looks like and where it's located.'

Lady Melissa thought, only realizing the fact that she had never actually been to Duke Mason's place.

Not even in her past life had she been invited to any of the parties that were hosted by the Trafford estate.

Lady Melissa decided to just stop thinking and start doing, so she went to her desk and took the telephone.

The telephone rang several times, and each time it did Lady Melissa felt as if she was starting to lose hope that Duke Mason would ever pick the telephone up.

Just as the telephone was about to stop ringing, the telephone was picked up.

Lady Melissa let out a sigh of relief, it was a very fortunate thing for her that Duke Mason had picked up her phone call.

"Hello?"

Lady Melissa could hear the voice of the other person from the telephone, though it didn't sound like Duke Mason's.

"Hello, I would like to speak to Duke Mason please."

Lady Melissa politely said, trying to make her sound more high-pitched so whoever talking to her wouldn't know that it was her.

"Who are you? I need to verify your name first and the estate you are from, and for what matter did you call?"

The person asked, immediately bombarding Lady Melissa with questions.
