"Oh? Is that so? I'll try and bring you out to the capital if it's possible, where you don't have to pretend to be me and can actually enjoy things."

Lady Melissa said, a smile on her face, grateful that Victoria didn't mind to replace her, but she really needed to get her shit together.

"Thanks Lady Melissa, but I'll have to pass up on the offer. I love the outside world but….the capital doesn't exactly bring the best memories to me."

Victoria said, putting up an awkward smile, hoping that Lady Melissa would understand what she meant.

"Oh. I'm so sorry for bringing that up, I'll just bring you some food from the outside, that way you'll be able to enjoy the outside world's things?"

Lady Melissa said, a little confused at the last part of her sentence.

"Oh sure, I have no problems at all with food."

Victoria cheerfully said, a bright smile on her face that was blinding Lady Melissa.

"Alright then, now that that's decided I'll see you in an hour or less, I want to get some sleep."

Lady Melissa said, knowing she probably wouldn't be able to get any sleep, yet she still wanted some time to herself.

"Alright, good night Lady Melissa? Or should I say good morning Lady Melissa? Anyways see you soon."

Victoria said, confused whether she should wish Lady Melissa a good night or a good morning, before Lady Melissa quickly ordered Victoria to get back inside the pendant.

Lady Melissa quickly went to her bed, after she had changed the clothes into her night clothes and put the clothes that she had previously worn inside of her unlimited pouch.

She'll probably have to pay someone to wash her clothes for her since she wasn't taught how to do it but that wasn't a problem.

Lady Melissa quickly walked to her bed, a little happy that she could finally rest after the long day she had.

As Lady Melissa had just laid on her bed, her eyes wide open, trying to fall asleep, yet she couldn't, which she had expected in the first place.

There was a knock on the door, as Lady Melissa was furrowing her eyebrows, frustrated that she wasn't able to fall asleep.

"Lady Melissa? It's me Sophia, may I come in?"

Sophia knocked on the door three times, repeatedly asking Lady Melissa, who was still attempting to sleep.

Lady Melissa was starting to get more and more frustrated by every second that had passed, the fact that she couldn't sleep and the continuous knocking and asking at her door was making her a little grumpy.

"Come in Sophia."

Lady Melissa said, giving up on getting any sleep and knowing that ignoring Sophia wouldn't help her either.

As Sophia would probably just keep knocking until Lady Melissa would answer her, so Lady Melissa did.

"Good Morning Lady Melissa."

Sophia said, bowing her head down as she greeted Lady Melissa.

"Good morning to you as well Sophia."

Lady Melissa said, trying to hide the fact that she didn't get any sleep while rubbing her eyes, currently yawning.

"I have woken you up to inform you that your parents have sent a letter to you."

Sophia said, taking the letter that she had hidden behind her before bowing down and presenting it to Lady Melissa.

"Oh? A letter you say?"

Lady Melissa asked, intrigued to what her parents could have possibly sent her.

Maybe it was some food? Or small souvenirs that they had put inside?

Lady Melissa thought, curious to know about the contents of the letter.

Sophia quickly left Lady Melissa's room after delivering her letter, while Lady Melissa still hadn't opened the letter yet.

Wanting to do so in private so she could see the contents of the envelope by herself, alone.

Lady Melissa carefully opened the envelope, making sure not to damage it as she liked to cherish her letters and would often read them whenever she had time, which unfortunately wasn't that much.

"Yes."

Lady Melissa said, mumbling under her breath, she had succeeded in not ruining or damaging anything in the envelope, at least for now.

Slowly opening the letter, curious as to what it had contained.

Surprised but not really surprised at the same time, it was just a letter inside of the envelope.

Lady Melissa took the letter out, reading it.

"Dear Melissa,

How are you? Your mother has gotten a little sick so we will be staying here for a little while, I hope you understand. Luckily it's not too severe but it's better to be safe than sorry, I don't want her to get really sick or anything. We'll be back soon, probably in a week or two, or  less by the time the letter reaches you. I hope you are in good health and everything is okay in the estate. Stay safe Melissa.

Best Regards

Your father"

Lady Melissa let out multiple 'ohh' sounds while reading the letter, no wonder they had taken more time than usual during this business trip.

Hopefully they wouldn't find out about the fact that she killed someone, she didn't want her parents to act or treat her differently.

In fact, she didn't want anyone to treat her differently, she finally had her life together and she had to self-sabotage her life once again.

It wasn't the first time she had done so, and it probably wouldn't be her last.

Lady Melissa thought.

Lady Melissa quickly took her pen and ink, and a piece of paper before writing down her response to the letter her dad had sent her.

"Dear father and mother,

I am doing well these past few days though I do miss both you and mother's presence. I hope she feels better soon, and that the both of you arrive back home safely. I love both of you.

Stay Safe

-Melissa."

Lady Melissa quickly wrote down the letter in a span of a minute or two, she didn't know exactly what to write since the letter was so short but this would do.
