Although the man didn't seem trustworthy at all, considering the fact that only his eyes and hair were visible.
However, Lady Melissa had no choice but to trust that the man was indeed the person Duke Mason had sent to guide her to the Trafford estate where she would be meeting Duke Mason.
Seconds passed, and the room was dead silent as Lady Melissa could feel the awkwardness of the whole situation.
The man was still in her room, standing on the wall as he put his head upwards as if he was sleeping.
"What's your name?"
Lady Melissa asked, hoping that her question would cause the man to start talking to her, so that the awkwardness would disappear.
"Unfortunately, I am not allowed to disclose my name."
The man bluntly said, looking at Lady Melissa for a split second before putting his head upwards once more.
"Alright then next question, how long have you been Duke Mason's secret agent or whatever this is."
Lady Melissa asked, still not understanding why the man had to choose such a simple colour for his outfit, she didn't mind the fact that the man was wearing an outfit that almost completely covered him.
However what she minded on was the fact that the man didn't have a pattern to his outfit, like if you were going to wear something at least make it stylish, don't just stick to one colour.
Lady Melissa thought in her head, thinking of the numerous colours that would be a great match to the man.
"I am not a secret agent, I am his guard and I carry out the duties he gives me. I have been in this occupation for 2 years now."
The man said, as he lowered his head down, this time staring right into Lady Melissa's eyes.
"Oh I see, you're a part of the guild aren't you?"
Lady Melissa asked, as she intensely stared at him, curious about his reaction.
"How do you k-"
The man stopped himself mid-sentence as he realized what he was about tos ay.
"What guild?"
The man said, clearing his throat as he quickly composed himself, ignoring the little mishap he had.
"Oh? What kind of guild indeed? I wonder."
Lady Melissa said, trying to annoy the man as she was bored.
"Anyways, let's just go to the Trafford estate now, the though of spending another ten minutes here with you irks me."
Lady Melissa said, as she clapped her hands and put them on her face, giving a smile.
"Agreed."
The man muttered under his breath, which Lady Melissa didn't hear.
"Anyways come on my back, let's go there now."
The man said, as he positioned himself downwards so he could easily carry Lady Melissa.
"What?"
Lady Melissa asked, confused on what the man had just told her to do.
"Get on my back now and we'll go to the Trafford estate."
The man said.
"I thought we were going to teleport there?"
Lady Melissa asked, a confused look on her face.
"I have never learnt alchemy or magic in my life."
The man bluntly said, as he explained to her why they couldn't just teleport there.
"Oh, well I guess we have no choice then."
Lady Melissa calmly said, before getting on his back and hugging his throat.
"Um, can I hold your legs?"
The man asked, not wanting to just randomly touch her legs.
"Excuse me?"
Lady Melissa asked, confused whether she had heard the man correctly or not.
"Can I hold your legs so when we go there, there is less of a chance of you falling."
The man said, explaining why he had wanted to hold her legs.
"Oh sure."
Lady Melissa replied before the man opened her window, leaping out of it while carrying Lady Melissa on his bank before closing it.
The man carried Lady Melissa using his arms and back while he used his legs to jump over the trees.
Lady Melissa awed at the sight from above, she had never seen the trees look so pretty before.
She'll definitely have to learn this skill of jumping over trees like a monkey. (Like tarzan)
Lady Melissa moved her head as the man kept jumping from tree to tree, somehow miraculously not falling from any of his jumps.
Lady Melissa watched the beautiful sight of mother nature, her smile widening and her eyes glistening as she observed everything around her.
Lady Melissa could feel the breeze hitting her face, as she was closing her mouth, not wanting any leaves to get inside of it.
Without Lady Melissa realizing, ten minutes had already passed, which she had entirely spent on observing mother nature.
Lady Melissa realized that the man was no longer climbing trees anymore, instead he had just left a tree, jumping into the ground.
The man started to run with Lady Melissa still on his back.
"I can walk you know- just let me down."
Lady Melissa said, feeling guilty that the man probably had a hard time carrying her.
"No, master said to bring you in safe and quickly, so I will just carry you."
The man bluntly replied to Lady Melissa as he continued to run to the Trafford estate.
Soon after, Lady Melissa could see a castle in sight, a big castle with wooden doors.
"067, I brought the guest."
The man said to one of the guards, as he finally let Lady Melissa down.
The guards quickly inspected the man, and Lady Melissa as well before deciding that they were both free to go inside.
"Unfortunately, I must go now Lady Melissa, I hope you and Duke Mason have a pleasant time."
The man said, as he quickly bowed down leaving Lady Melissa to dust.
"Thanks, I hope to see you again soo-."
Lady Melissa said, however the man was already gone before she had noticed.
In the seconds she spent closing her eyes, the man was already gone.
Lady Melissa walked through the Trafford estate, seeing multiple carriages all with the initials T engraved on them, which Lady Melissa assumed stood for Trafford.
