"I see, though you must not bottle your emotions up too much- or else you might have a mental breakdown trying to hold all your emotions in."
Duke Mason said, telling Lady Melissa not to bottle up her emotions too much nor too often, as a series of unfortunate events would probably follow soon after.
"Yes, I'll make sure to note that."
Lady Melissa said.
"Why did you shoot the man? If this makes you uncomfortable or you don't want to answer, just tell me, we can skip this question."
"No it's fine, I can answer this question. I shot the man out of anger and sadness, at what he did to my friend and I just- my emotions got the best of m-"
Lady Melissa stopped, before quickly continuing her sentence.
"As I was saying, my emotions got the best of me and I just shot the man, and then yeah everything just...you know."
Lady Melissa said, looking up to Duke Mason's face, desperately hoping that he wasn't disgusted by her reasoning or actions.
"I see, and you're sure that you're not shaken up or anything by it at all?"
Duke Mason said, and although Lady Melissa had repeatedly told him she was fine, he just wanted to conform one last time.
"Don't worry about me Duke Mason, I'm completely fine. Now was that your last question for me?"
Lady Melissa asked, as she played with her fingers on the hem of her dress, her eyes staring into the marble floor.
"Well, yes, although I do have some doubts in my head, those are all of the questions that I was meaning to ask you today."
Duke Mason said.
"Alright then, but before we talk about something else could you excuse me for a minute? I plan to use the bathroom."
Lady Melissa explained, while Duke Mason merely nodded his head, excusing Lady Melissa from their chat.
Lady Melissa quickly entered the bathroom, fixing some of the makeup that she had applied earlier in the day.
Before she suddenly heard someone telepathically talk to her, and as expected, it was none other than Victoria.
"Greetings Lady Melissa, have you forgotten about me switching your place? Or are we not going to do it anymore? I think some hours had passed since the time you had told me to replace you."
Victoria said, curious as to whether she still needed to replace Lady Melissa or not.
"Oh dear heavens, I must've forgotten about that! Is there a way for me to transport you back into my room and take my place? "
Lady Melissa asked, as she thought of how bad this situation could turn out to be if the guards find Lady Melissa in the Trafford estate.
It would tarnish both her and Duke Mason's reputation, and no matter what, she mustn't get found out.
"Well....I suppose you can do something if you just try to command me to repeat in your bedroom and try and visualize it the best you can."
Victoria said, awaiting for Lady Melissa's response to her instructions.
"Oh? All right then, give me a second Victoria and you shall replace me."
Lady Melissa said, before closing her eyes and focusing on the red pendant on her neck, as she imagined her bathroom in her bedroom, not wanting Victoria to just randomly appear out of nowhere.
"I command Victoria Tambrahm to go into Melissa Mendy Shayla's room, and more specifically the bathroom."
Lady Melissa said, as she commanded Victoria, hoping that this would somehow work out.
"Victoria,are you there yet?"
Lady Melissa asked a few minutes after she had cast the spell, curious as to what had happened to Victoria.
"Don't worry ms, I'm doing fine, I'm just currently changing clothes and trying to fix my appearance."
Victoria said, while combing her messy hair.
"I'll leave you be then, have fun."
Lady Melissa said, as she left the bathroom, hearing Victoria mutter out a thanks to her.
Lady Melissa emerged from the bathroom, sitting down on the couch as Duke Mason was preoccupied with something.
More specifically he was preoccupied by some paperwork, as he flipped through the pages, looking stressed.
"Your grace, are you okay? Do you perhaps need a glass of water?"
Lady Melissa asked, concerned for Duke Mason's well being as she saw how this was negatively affecting his mental health.
"I appreciate the offer but I must say no."
Duke Mason said, replying to Ldy Melissa as he looked up from the paperwork and into her eyes.
"I'll just put this back in my desk and we can continue our little chatting session or whatever this is."
Duke Mason said, standing up from the couch as he placed the paperwork he had been previously doing onto his desk.
"Alright."
Lady Melissa replied, patiently waiting for Duke Mason to sit down on the couch once more.
"Now, since you've already done your interview with me, it's my turn to do the same thing to you."
Lady Melissa confidently said, a little happy that she could finally clear all the doubts she had been having these past few days.
"Alright, shoot your best shot."
Duke Mason said, flashing Lady Melissa a smile with his gorgeous looks.
"First question, why and how were you even at the Whitechapel incident?"
Lady Melissa asked, this was the first question that had originally come to her mind when Duke Mason had appeared in the Whitechapel district, eagerly trying to defend Lady Melissa.
"Well let's just say, I had a few business opportunities that I could not miss out on, and those business opportunities just so happened to be near the Whitechapel district."
Duke Mason said, stopping his sentence before quickly continuing it.
"Oh? And what business opportunities might those be my lord?"
Lady Melissa curiously asked.
"Opportunities that I shall not be allowed to discuss with you."
Duke Mason said.
"I assume they are private family matters then? Alright, I shall change the topic since you do not seem fond of the topic,"
Lady Melissa said, quickly moving onto her next question.
