Though even with both the second and first half the song would still be pretty short, though it was the thought that matters right?
So Lady Melissa hoped her parents wouldn't mind it that much if the song was a little shorter compared to others' songs.
Soon, Lady Melissa's teacher had finally arrived, who had been late for ten whole minutes, which had led to Lady Melissa being preoccupied and going from thinking about her feelings, to thinking about her parent's anniversary.
Which she was excited about, since this would be the very first anniversary she would be spending with them.
The previous anniversaries Lady Melissa had declined hanging out with them, and so they left them be, thinking that Lady Melissa would reject them again.
Lady Melissa thought she was being a burden to them, and didn't want to be a burden on their wedding night so she had declined their requests.
She was being thoughtful of them and thought that they would be better off with her, especially on their anniversary.
Though that could never be farther from the truth. Her parents had always wanted Lady Melissa to be there with them, and it had hurted them the fact that she didn't want to be with them, especially during their anniversary. But, her parents respected Lady Melissa's choice, and decided not to force her into being with them.
If Lady Melissa wanted to be alone, then that was her choice to make, her decision, which her parents would ultimately respect.
It was her life, and she should be allowed to make her own decisions and suffer the consequences.
Lady Melissa's parents would always be there for her no matter what, but they couldn't force her to make decisions.
The only thing that they could do is give her comfort, reassurance and advice.
They couldn't just shelter her from the cruel realities of life, as much as they wanted to.
Lady Melissa needed to learn the consequences of her own actions, and if it was by letting her learn it through by herself, even if it would make her hate them or dislike them.
They would do it, because they wanted their daughter to learn that sometimes, life wasn't all sunshine and rainbows.
Sometimes life was just a real stick in the mud.
It worked, their method of trying to teach Lady Melissa to suffer the consequences worked.
Hence, why Lady Melissa was here in her second life now, planning to wipe off the Crown Prince's face from earth.
The dancing lesson had ended, and Lady Melissa was surprised at how quickly it had ended, she had never recalled dancing this quick.
Though it may have been because of the fact that she was so focused on her own thoughts the entire time.
Nevertheless, even when Lady Melissa was mostly focused on her own thoughts, she was somehow able to flawlessly dance, surprisingly.
Maybe Lady Melissa should start being more focused on her own thoughts during lessons, especially dancing lessons.
There was also another instance where Lady Melissa had been crying, in her previous life due to one of the many things the Crown Prince had done to her.
Her parents noticed and although they tried to comfort and ask her if she was okay.
Lady Melissa said some things, and ended up pushing them away from her.
Their distant relationship got more distant and just cold.
It didn't have a family-like relationship, it was more like classmates or acquaintances.
Her parents had always tried, so Lady Melissa would be able to open up with them, and so all three of them could just be a normal family, but each time her parents had tried to do so, Lady Melissa would push them away.
It was a defense mechanism for Lady Melissa, pushing them away.
It was Lady Melissa's way of wanting her parents to be happy.
She had already felt as if she was a burden to them and thought that by being closer to them she would be an even bigger burden and headache for the both of them.
So she pushed them away.
It was one of the reasons why Lady Melissa had pushed her parents away from her.
Lady Melissa was also scared of how the relationship would work.
What if her parents passed away? How would she react?
Even as a young child, she knew some of the harsh realities of life and thought it was better for her to never have emotional attachments with people.
The past Lady Melissa would admit that she would be sad if her parents died, but would it be enough to bring tears into her eyes and make her cry a waterfall? No.
The answer was no. It would not be enough to bring tears into Lady Melissa's eyes and make her cry a waterfall, much less for a tear to even come out.
It was like a classmate dying, of course, you'd feel bad, but you wouldn't cry since you weren't close to them.
That was the type of relationship Lady Melissa used to have with her parents, and it scared her.
Lady Melissa wanted to have a normal and caring relationship with her parents, but at the same time she wanted to have no emotional attachment with the both of them just in case something ever happened, and in Lady Melissa's twisted way, she was somehow expressing her love for them.
It was twisted, every time they tried to get closer to her, she would push them away, but at the same time, it was her own way of showing her love for them.
Sometimes, we hurt the people we love, and that happens, but at the end of the day, we have to apologize.
Life is short, and we never know when something might happen to someone.
That's why Lady Melissa's personality did a whole 180 and changed for the better, because life was short.
Although she practically knew what was going to happen in the future, Lady Melissa couldn't;t guarantee it, with her having a different personality, a different relationship with her parents, and a second chance at life.
She couldn't guarantee that she knew the future, maybe some things would change, and maybe some things wouldn't.
In the meantime all Lady Melissa could do was hope things had turned out the way they were supposed to do, it was yer only card anyways.
Without it she wouldn't have that much of an advantage in taking down the Crown Prince, nor could she prepare for any of the future events that would happen.
