Lady Melissa looked forward to all the challenges and difficulties she would have to face in the future, and how she would face the challenges and difficulties.

But, she wasn't looking forward to any future problems or difficulties right now, she already had her hands full with everything that was going on right now.

She had her parents' anniversary to do, to make sure that nobody finds out about her handing the note to Duke Alphonso during the hunting event, Baron Kevin's death and so much more.

Lady Melissa wished her problems had ended just there, but she had a long list of problems continuing after it.

Speaking of which, Lady Melissa had wondered what the name of her new bodyguard was. Although she didn't ask for his name it didn't mean that she couldn't guess his name.

Lady Melissa guessed his name was Tony, she didn't know why she had chosen that name but maybe something about how jacked and pumped he was had something to do with it.

When Lady Melissa had laid her eyes on the guard, she just envisioned him to be someone with the name Tony.

Because, well, she envisioned guys with the name Tony to be buff, and just pumped. She knew she was stereotyping people through their names but she couldn't help herself.

Though, she'd be pleasantly surprised if Tony wasn't the guard's actual name, maybe his name would be Bryan instead?

It was just Lady Melissa coming up with numerous names that the guard might have now, thinking that he would suit them, or at least most of them.

Lady Melissa had to remind herself that a person's name is not equivalent to their personality, like guys named Justin could be respectful people, instead of what people had stereotyped them into.

Lady Melissa tried to stop stereotyping people based on their names or appearance.

She would hate to be stereotyped by someone based on her looks or appearance, so she decided to stop herself before she went too deep into the whole situation.

Lady Melissa couldn't wait for tomorrow, she would finally be able to help her parents out with their work a bit, and hopefully, she would be less of a burden for the both of them.

Lady Melissa wanted a child, a daughter and a son perhaps, yet at the same time, she didn't want to have one.

She couldn't imagine the number of sleepless nights she would have to spend trying to make her daughter or son sleep, Lady Melissa knew that she could simply ask a maid to just take care of her child for her, but she didn't want to.

In Lady Melissa's mind, the maids were already taking care of her baby when the baby had pooped and they were gonna shower her.

She had seen many nobles not having a close relationship with their parents because they were taken care of by their maids ever since they were a child.

So, in the end, they just grew distant from their parents. This could be because their parents were either busy and had no time to take care of their child, or because they didn't want to take care of their child.

Especially the diapers, even though she wouldn't be changing them, the maids would do so, she could already imagine the horrific smell it would have.

Lady Melissa didn't want to end up like one of those parents, who neglected their child because of work.

If she ever had a child, she would be scared whether she could be a good parent to them or not.

Lady Melissa didn't want her child to feel horrible when she was trying to be a mother to them.

She didn't want to put her child under the watching eyes of society either, and she certainly did not want to stress out her child with academics.

Since Lady Melissa was born as a member of the Shayla family, there would always be watchful eyes everywhere, watching her every move.

In Lady Melissa's first life, although she didn't focus on academics that much, she was still very much under a lot of pressure.

Lady Melissa had focused more on activities that housewives should do such as sewing, in hopes of finding a good husband.

Her mother didn't force her into this, it was Lady Melissa's choice. She had thought that the love and approval of a man was everything she ever needed and that she would love to be a housewife.

Lady Melissa couldn't imagine her daughter going through that very same thing.

She would support her daughter of course if she wanted to go for academics instead of learning how to be a 'good' housewife but society would judge girls who learnt academics.

They were often mocked when all they were doing was simply learning the same thing that boys were.

There was nothing wrong with that and Lady Melissa couldn't fathom how incredibly stupid Society could be.

Lady Melissa couldn't imagine putting her son through all that pressure either, him having to go and be burdened with the weight of the Shayla family.

Boys were the ones who had to carry out their family names's after all, it was never girls.

Even when Society was changing, it was never girls.

Though, there was an exception, just like in Lady Melissa's case.

If there were no sons then the heir of the family would go to the closest male relative, and if there was none, it would go to the daughter.

It was one of the either, but in most cases, the heir of the family would end up being the closest male relative.

While in Lady Melissa's case, the heir of the family ended up being her.

Hence, why she needed to participate in activities such as dancing, while she also needed to participate in other activities such as fencing.

Lady Melissa wished that sometimes she had an elder brother or sister so she could share the burden.

But, she knew that if she had one she wouldn't be getting as much freedom as she currently was.

Because she was the only child of the Duke and Duchess of the Shayla estate, her parents tried to spoil her, but of course, they had their limits.
