Maybe that could be Lady Melissa's next goal after taking down the Crown Prince, that is if she even took down the Crown Prince.

Her next goal would be to make women and men treated equally, in most situations and that it wasn't biased towards one gender.

Lady Melissa knew that doing something like that would be hard- or even impossible, some might say, but Lady Melissa wasn't going to give up until she had tried to make it happen.

The very least, Lady Melissa believed she could do was try, and if after a number of attempts it still failed, then Lady Melissa would try to tackle the problem with a different approach.

And maybe, just maybe, society would listen for once, that the majority of people would treat men and women equally.

Both of them with respect. Lady Melissa knew how often women would get catcalled in the streets, especially if they were commoners.

Some noblewomen would get catcalled as well, but it would seldom happen as they had the status to injure the man that catcalled them, unless of course he was a nobleman.

However, if we were talking about noblewomen getting catcalled by noblemen, then it had often happened, and the noblewomen could do nothing except bear with it, if they had reacted otherwise then they would get judged by society, but it was alright for a man to catcall a woman?

Women were never even allowed to catcall men-, and in cases that they do so, they would get judged by society.

Even doing that could lead them to being an outcast from society, not being allowed to indulge in social gatherings or activities.

Yet when men did the same thing they were allowed to? And they could just continue living their lives normally? As if nothing ever happened?

Truth be told, Lady Melissa had been catcalled a number of times in her past life, during the rare times where she was invited to social gatherings or balls.

She had been catcalled by several men, who were in their seventies and eighties, with multiple wives.

Lady Melissa had never told anyone about the incident, not even the Crown Prince, in fear that he would call her disgraceful names, names that she never wanted to hear him call her.

Not even her parents had known about this, and neither did any of her friends or anything, though she was sure some of the noblewomen had heard the men's catcalls to her.

If anything, society deemed men catcalling women as a 'compliment' and that it was something for the women who had gotten catcalled, to be grateful for.

But how could women feel grateful for such a horrible thing when the things that the men said weren't compliments at all, they were harassment, it was just that nobody was brave enough to stand up for themselves, not wanting to be an outcast from society.

There had been instances where women stood up for themselves, most of the time ending badly.

Speaking of women standing up for themselves, Lady Melissa couldn't remember when the last time she had stood up for herself in her past life had been.

She had been a very shy and nervous girl in her past life, thinking that by the simple act of talking to someone, she was burdening them.

Lady Melissa regretted not being braver in her past life, but that's what second chances in life are for right?

So that you don't make the same mistake, or repeat everything you had regretted in your past life.

This time, Lady Melissa would control her own life, and she would try her best not to be the same shy and nervous girl she had been in her past life.

Lady Melissa had practically sixty years until she died, that is assuming that she does die naturally, and not because of other reasons.

The next day had quickly came, and Lady Melissa had woken up early, so she could make sure that everything for her parent's anniversary was ready.

Lady Melissa quickly came downstairs, as she saw the flowers were in the place where she had asked the maids to put them in.

Lady Melissa had decorated the place, making the Shayla estate seem much brighter and happier than it usually was.

Lady Melissa quickly took the leather watch for her father that she had hidden somewhere in her room, before making her way down and putting it on the table.

Lady Melissa had also made a cake for her parents, although admittedly it wasn't the best cake, it at least tasted great.

She had help from the chef, and the cake had chocolate on the top layer of the cake, with cheese on the bottom layer of the cake.

Lady Melissa then wrote 'Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!' on the cake.

Before she wrote in the smallest handwriting she could '-Melissa'.

Lady Melissa had taken a big amount of space for writing the Happy anniversary Mom and Dad, so she didn't have much space to write that it was from her.

Hopefully, her parents would be able to see that it was from her, and even if they didn't they would know it was from her.

Lady Melissa was quite proud of the cake that she, and the chef had made for her parents.

Lady Melissa just hoped that her parents would appreciate the effort and just relax and enjoy today.

It was their wedding anniversary after all, they couldn't be stressing out about work.

Lady Melissa quickly asked the maids to prepare her parent's favourite food for the morning, so that the both of them would be greeted by a pleasant surprise.

Soon enough, the food was ready, and Lady Melissa looked at the whole room once more, making sure that everything was in its place and that she was ready to call her parents down, though technically it wouldn't be her calling her parents down.

It would be Derreck, so that Lady Melissa's parents wouldn't be suspicious of the whole thing.
