Melissa hadn't realized she had been doing paperwork for that long, it was no wonder why she was starting to get tired.
Lady Melissa was done with paperwork, at least for the next few hours, she had enough headaches from the paperwork she had just done.
Melissa decided that she was too tired to continue the paperwork, and that she was done with it, so she'd do some exercises.
Though Lady Melissa decided that it'd be better if she washed her face beforehand, she had considered showering but then it was 4 A.M. in the morning, and she hadn't gotten any sleep.
So showering wasn't an option for Lady Melissa, at least not in her eyes.
Lady Melissa quickly splashed her face with cold water, as she grew more alert than earlier.
Lady Melissa made her way downstairs, thinking that she would probably go for a morning jog around the Shayla estate, three times.
As soon as Lady Melissa opened her door, she was greeted by Justin.
"Good Morning Lady Melissa."
Justin greeted Lady Melissa, who was still partly in shock.
"Good morning to you too Justin."
Lady Melissa said to Justin, as she quickly regained her composure in a matter of seconds.
She hadn't expected to see Justin in front of her door so early in the morning, although Justin was always in front of her door every morning, Lady Melissa just thought she wouldn't see him this morning.
It did make Lady Melissa feel safer though, knowing that someone was guarding her door, even at the early hours of the morning.
"Do you mind going on a jog with me around the Shayla manor?"
Lady Melissa asked Justin.
"I would love to join you on a jog, Lady Melissa."
Justin politely answered, as Lady Melissa made her way down the stairs.
Lady Melissa opened the doors, as she started to walk at first, before jogging.
"At what time do you guard my door?"
Lady Melissa curiously asked, wondering what time Justin guarded her door since he had to get his own sleep as well.
"I usually guard at 2 A.M. though if I wake up earlier I usually guard it at 1 A.M. I finish investigating usually at 12 P.M."
Justin said to Lady Melissa, answering her question.
"You only get an hour of sleep?"
Lady Melissa asked, surprised, since Justin didn't look sleep-deprived at all, instead he looked like a person who got a regular amount of sleep.
"Yeah."
Justin casually replied.
"You look like you get a decent amount of sleep, I thought you'd get three or four hours of sleep."
Lady Melissa said, thinking that Justin would get three or four hours of sleep.
"The job doesn't allow me to, since I always have to be alert just in case anything happens to my master, and my nightmares keep me awake, so I can't sleep for long periods of time."
Justin said, explaining why he couldn't speed for long periods of time.
"Ahh that makes sense."
Lady Melissa said, not asking or mentioning about the nightmares since she thought Justin would be uncomfortable talking about them since she was uncomfortable about talking about her nightmares.
Lady Melissa understood nightmares, she understood the pain of them, the fear of the nightmare actually happening in real life.
The cold sweat one would wake up to because of a nightmare, and even the feeling a person would have from getting a nightmare.
Lady Melissa understood why someone would avoid sleeping so they wouldn't have to face their nightmare or nightmares, heck she did it a lot.
"What did you do for a living before this?"
Lady Melissa asked, already knowing what Justin had done prior to this since she had a file on him but she was curious as to what he would answer.
"Well, I didn't really have a job so I was just living on the streets."
Justin said to Lady Melissa.
"I see. Can you do magic or alchemy?"
Lady Melissa asked, wondering if Justin could do magic or alchemy.
"I don't think so? I've never actually tried learning magic or alchemy so I'm not sure if I can do it."
Justin said to Lady Melissa.
Since, there were some who could do magic or alchemy without even learning it, it was like a natural gift.
Like how a person with a natural talent for swordsmanship could beat a person who's trained swordsmanship longer than them.
"Are there any questions you would like to ask me?"
Lady Melissa asked Justin, wondering the questions he had about her, although she had hired him to guard her only, it wouldn't hurt for her to have some fun right?
"Are you sure you're okay with me asking questions?"
Justin asked, double-checking whether Lady Melissa was truly alright with him asking her questions.
"Sure, though I might not answer some questions if I am uncomfortable with the question or do not want to answer it. I am sure you understand."
Lady Melissa said, sending Justin a smile.
"Alright, is the person you mourned over yesterday your lover?"
Justin asked, it had been bugging him at the back of his head on who the person Lady Melissa had been crying over was.
Lady Melissa almost fell on the ground when she heard Justin ask that, out of all the questions she had expected him to ask her, that wasn't at the top of her head.
It was just so random and unexpected that Lady Melissa had been caught completely off guard by the question.
"Wait l-let me j-just."
Lady Melissa said, as she stopped jogging trying to catch her breath after almost falling earlier, never in a million years did she expect Justin to ask her that question.
Justin had made her laugh so hard that Lady Melissa had almost fallen on the ground because of Justin's question.
